TD17 rack bums me out. To fit a double pedal and a hi hat stand puts the hi hat a little further out than I like when trying to accommodate the sound module positioning as well.

Absolutely true! That's one big reason I switched my TD17 to the larger Roland rack.

I'm thinkin about gettin a donner ded 300. Does that ha e double bass?? Or do I have to buy another separate drum for it??

The Donner drum sets do not come with a double pedal. You'll have to buy it separately.
