it's really common with pipe band snare drumming but other then that it's not seen too often even with marching corps. even though in my opinion its better then writing sticking's and easier to read.

...the one thing I noticed about bands, long ago, when I was working as a stage manager in a rock n' roll club...
...consistently, out of all members of a rock n' roll band...
      ...drummers get laid...
...(sure, the crowd adores the front man/vocalist, the crowd will also appreciate the guitarists, but in terms of of animal magnetism, when some groupie wants an absolute "cave-man" vibe to her after-show tryst, she'll go for the drummer and his steady, rythimic beat)...
... there's a song from the 1960s called "The Game of Love" by Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders...
...it has a drum line with a compelling beat that demonstrates my point...

@@val.6724 im a drummer myself and i have never practised drumline things like this. when i drum there is usually no time when i use both sticks on the snare, let alone even hold the sticks like this. the way that guy is drumming here is very different from how one would drum with a full set. i am not discrediting this guy in any way, he is just a professional in a different category.
