Love the person just went straight into the video and there is no talking!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve skipped a video cause they would just not shut up! But this was great!!!
I do the same. I come for the recipe not to hear your whole life's history, so when they start yapping I start looking for someone with the good sense to start the recipe they lured you in for. Another big plus is they actually included the recipe in the description.
Absolutely delicious. I have just cooked this for the first time for my husband, son and me. Savoured every mouthful. I didn't quite have all the ingredients but had almost everything and it still turned out great. Another time, I'm going to try cooking just the rice part and adding flaked fish and prawns to create a seafood risotto. Loved the style and pace of the video too.
I made the cod recipe but skipped the rice/sauce and it was delicious. Honestly the cod is great just on its own. I also used lemon instead of lime and added the zest as well for an extra kick of lemon and it was awesome. I also cooked mine a little longer, about 4 mins per side, because I'm weird about fish not being done enough :)
You're right, the Cod needs very little help. The dish in the video had a lot of powerful ingredients, heck, a lot of ingredients in general..happy cooking..
I made it exactly as shown in the video. It was good with one exception, is the chicken gravy with the fish.It didnt really enhance the flavor of the fish.It actually killed the deliciousness of the cod.As shown on the recipe, fish marinading with all spices and cooking it in the butter with garlic, little lemon juice, and splash of wine is really good by itself. So my suggestion is to ignore the last step.Great idea! Rice is delicious.Thank you for this recipe! I have subscribed Naughty Food!Looking forward to more ideas.
I made this today and it was so good, I had no chicken gravy powder so I used corn starch instead, and half & half instead of cream, turned out perfect.
I think medium/ high is good. Like you said. Thats what I cooked mine on. And it also depends on how hot your skillet gets. Dont want to over cook the fish.
This was wonderful and the plating was beautiful. One question and one tweak: was it 2 to 3 min per side of fish or 2 to 3 min total? the rice was too crunchy and it hinknit should have been cooked in a pot with a lid.
If I had more than two thumbs ... they would "all" be standing strait up right now! Needed a quick Cod fish meal tonight and this is exactly what I was looking for! Didn't have powdered gravy, however used potato starch instead. Strait forward, and to the point! Came out perfectly delish!!!!!!! ~;O)
I search for cod recipes. sees first video titled "the only way you should cook cod." then sees a video below it with tastier looking thumbnail. Skips first video to check this one out lol 😆
I've seen some top chefs use chicken stock in their fish dish more than once. Although I've never tried it (but plan to), I hear it's actually very complimentary and tastes good.
I love this recipe but don't like having to watch the video every time I make it, so writing this out for myself. Maybe you'll also benefit :) -olive oil cover pan -saute half onion and 1/2 cup celery -Add 1/2 tso thyme and 1/2 tso soy sauce. Rexuoe says to add 1 cup wild rice and add 2 cups broth and cook 30 to 35 min with lid on but I found thus too crunchy the first time I made this. Meanwhile, put lime on 2lbs cod, salt to taste, 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp lemon pepper, lemon zest, 1 tsp parsley, olive oil. Mix. Marinate in fridge 30 min. Then 4 tsp butter, cook 2-3 min (per side I think?).looks like add garlic cloves and baste in butter. Remove fish once cooked, add 1 cup onion, 1 tsp garlic, 2 tsp white cooking wine, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 cup chicken broth, 3 tsp "gravy mix" (me: gluten free thickener), 1/2 cup cream, cook 2-3 min. Sit rice in middle. Fish on top. Gravy around. Top with lemon and gravy top with parsley.
Cod fish? Cod FISH ? As compared to cod bird? Cod insect? Cod cow? It’s just cod, dude That said, I’ve tried this recipe today and it’s really tasty. I used mashed potato in place of rice. Because I could.
There is no way that there is only 4 tsp of butter in that pan, I made this dish with the Ingredients and method they used and it tasted lousy. I made it again with my own twist like adding a half tsp of tarragon to the marinade and I used alott more butter to fry the fish in along with a few other thing and then it tasted pretty good.
Although it does seem odd, I've seen some top chefs use chicken stock in their fish dish more than once. Although I've never tried it (but plan to), I hear it's actually very complimentary and tastes good.
Really delicious cod fish because of lemon! Thank you so much for your cooking secret sharing!

Right, I just cooked the cod with all the lemon butter and herbs. BTW my wife likes the cod to be obviously cooked but not well done too.
You're missing out cuz the gravy is fantastic and makes this recipe what it is :)

How high do you cook the Cod? Medium High?
I think medium/ high is good. Like you said. Thats what I cooked mine on. And it also depends on how hot your skillet gets. Dont want to over cook the fish.
Just tried this it's so yammy thank you so much
What pan did u use?
Thanks for. I will try this minus the heavy cream.
This was wonderful and the plating was beautiful. One question and one tweak: was it 2 to 3 min per side of fish or 2 to 3 min total? the rice was too crunchy and it hinknit should have been cooked in a pot with a lid.
Well... now I wish I'd watched this earlier and gotten the stuff for the sauce too...

Any fish can be done like this ?
Whats with all the chicken stock? For the rice I get it but why with the fish?
I've seen some top chefs use chicken stock in their fish dish more than once. Although I've never tried it (but plan to), I hear it's actually very complimentary and tastes good.

Looks delicious too bad I don’t eat rice

Great video and recipe. Annoying music though.
How long did you cook the fish for.
Casey Kelso It says in the video.
🐟💛🐟💛🐟
Looks really amazing, it just got a little complicated at the end with the different ingredients
After a couple tries you'll be doing it without checking a list 🤘🏻
why cooking fish with chiken flavors and chiken broth?
You know what I love on my fish? Chicken. 🙄
Name of the song?
I am cooking that recipe but i dont know om which temperature to cook the rice for 30 mins? Pls help thanks
renederv medium low works well
So, it's basically chicken with a side of cod?
I can’t get past them using the metal utensils in that cast iron skillet
Metal is okay in cast iron. It's not okay in teflon.
🔥
I’ve tried cooking cod in so many different ways but it always turns out so bland and kinda dry 😔
Dry means your over cooking it
Id probably add more spices. I liked it but it came out tasting slightly bland, the fish needed more seasoning.
No crying happening for fish , too much liquid , it is steaming
Cod fish? Cod FISH ?
As compared to cod bird? Cod insect? Cod cow?
It’s just cod, dude
That said, I’ve tried this recipe today and it’s really tasty. I used mashed potato in place of rice. Because I could.
He could’ve meant cod black ops 2 lol
She just wanted to make sure you didn't try cooking your codPIECE!
what is the point of the glove if he just touches the whole outside of the bowl anyway? and why not specify what temp youre setting the burner to.
just ruined some good fish adding all that junk food to it
What “junk food”? It’s just fish on rice? God, fat people.....
^Same, don't really know what would it be the junk food that he mentioned
Yea whatever
Super high calorie recipe. Definitely going to be delicious with all those fat in there.

Not tsp but Tbsp, sorry
@@NUTSO1967 You should have used Tbsps
Leave alone chicken broth!! you are cooking fish.
Although it does seem odd, I've seen some top chefs use chicken stock in their fish dish more than once. Although I've never tried it (but plan to), I hear it's actually very complimentary and tastes good.
The rice was never displayed...poor rice.
Why you didn’t cut It so we can how well it cooked ?
I’m pretty sure that fish was undercooked. No way it can be done in 2-3 minutes
if it shreds as you twist your fork in it, its done. also he prob meant each side 2-3 min.
too mich music
First I gave to you like. But after you did that white sauce with chicken gravy powder I put a ...Big Dislike...
Hate the music
