Made this for dinner Saturday night. This was outstanding and here's why. My hubs is a baked stuffed cod/haddock adherent and won't stray no matter how hard I try. Showed him this recipe & he relented. There was absolutely nothing left over. Suzy this Fish Girl was thrilled with the results - and made your recipe for Lebanese Rice & a chopped Greek salad. The perfect Mediterranean meal. Thank you!

I learned the basics of cooking from my Italian grandmother. In all of that time when I was learning from her I never saw her use a measuring cup or spoon. She would always point to the center of her hand and say, this is my measuring cup. I continue that tradition.

This ended up being WAY too much lemon flavor for our liking, so we "saved" it by adding more butter and capers. I also had to add a little sugar in to kill the over powering lemon taste. Not sure what I did wrong, but this recipe just didn't work for us.

Adding a breadcrumb to see if It bubbles is a far safer way to check oil temperature. Sprinkling water is the LAST thing you should do - the spitting and often eruption of hot oil can burn badly as well as make a mess. This is a poor piece of advice to tell viewers.

That's why I personally don't use fresh fish. I was on the last cod fillet and saw two worms come out of it. Gross. That said the cooking process will kill them, so I do eat it at restaurants and don't ask if it fresh or flash frozen (the commercial freezing kills worms).
