i have the same bike. I also had a high speed wobble on the bars and it was because the bike had too much preload in the fork for my 165lbs. Since I adjusted the preload for my weight the bars are rock solid at any speed or throttle setting.
Ron Yannone I’m right around 160lbs myself and it’s always seemed a bit stiff. I like the stabilizer for peace of mind but I’m going to have to have play with the suspension setup and see how it feels!
I've got the 2018 model and under hard acceleration the wobble was awful especially during a hi speed pull but after some suspension tuning it improved. I also installed the MaxRacing steering damper for safety sake as I'm 165lbs an dont want to fight the bike if it goes that way again, other than that these bikes are amazing, I've ridden many and the Gsx s1000 is definitely a keeper. Great vid 🤙
JUST BOUGHT A 2020 AND I LOVE IT! HAVEN’T REACHED THE FIRST SERVICE YET, NICE UPGRADE FROM MY 2018 MT07. PLEASE PROVIDE LINK OR NAME OF COMPANY YOU BOUGHT YOURS FROM. THANKS
I had Tuono 1100 before, and now 2017 gsxs1000 I found it for an attractive price. I didn't expect much from the bike just wanted a commuter but I didn't want to go down on the power too much, and the bike surprised me about how solid it feels. It's not a breathtaking bike by any means like the Tuono 1100 was but it works very well, usually in this price range manufacturers cut corners by putting budget chassis/suspension/brakes, and those bikes' handle kinda funny but the gsxs1000 feels very focused and sharp if you want to ride aggressively the bike will have no issue keeping the line in higher speeds. Is it the best bike? no, but you won't find a better platform in this price range.
I’m fixing to buy a new 2018 GSXS1000F for $8k out the door! That’s paying $4k down and financing the rest for 0.9% apr, which is fine nobody cares about paying a $1 a $100 to finance! All I want to do to the bike is a flash get the limiter off there, and change the gearing make it slightly longer for more highway speed and less cruising rpm! That and may file in the suspension and get me a windshield for the rain! I looked the wind screen up and it’s $70 for a black tinted one! Oh and the new ones have ABS and 3 way traction control! I personally don’t like ABS or TCA but I might use it in the rain that’s the only time I think I would use it! Unless I’m just spinning every where then I might use it!
In this video I did not have the quick shifter but I do now. It’s a bit more consistent shifting gears on the back wheel with quick shifter but before I would try to pull it up and ride it and then pull just past the balance point and start pushing up on the shifter then back off throttle a touch and get right back into it. It’ll take a little feel.
Hey man, Could you please tell me which one is the more comfortable bike, the GSXS 1000 or the Z900? I'm going to use the bike in town and i really could use a plush suspension. Thanks
Tony T it’s been awhile since I’ve ridden the z900 but I think they’re both very comfortable and very good bikes. For in town riding I think you’d be happy with either so I’d just pick the one you like the best!
Cause the Suzuki isn’t a low end monster like a lot of these nakeds! This one prefers to rev out a bit, it’s not as strong down low as MT10 or Z1000 so you have to wind it a little! I’m currently fixing to buy one myself! I found a left over 2018 GSXS1000F the one with the fairing on it for $8k out the door tax, license, and destination paid out the door! After corona is over dealer said to bring my half Down and pick up my bike!
@@tammyforbes2101 This is especially funny considering the engine in this bike a K5 GSXR 1000 engine which is WELL known for being a low end and midrange monster, and it's been tuned further by Suzuki for MORE low and midange power. This engine is done making power at 10k RPM. It is without question a low and midrange power biased engine. Keeping it in the meat of it's powerband, just like this guy is doing, keeps the bike responsive and fun to ride.

Considering buying one myself atm 2018. Thanks for the tips

Completely agree. For that price range I feel like it’s the best value in the category!

you have a quick shifter? how to change gear 2->3 on wheelie

Where can I get a steering damper for this bike i have a 2018 gsxs 1000
I can’t remember where I ordered mine from but at one point I saw some on revzilla. Part number is 15.SU10.10 I believe.
I have a 2017 z900 and my friend has the gsxs 1k. Both excellent bikes
I love them both!
@@likablelifestyleentertainm8768 was your z900 tuned with full exhaust or bone stock?
@@justhesolution she was tuned with a full exhaust

what's your exhaust on the bike ?
It’s an m4!
why are you riding in mid gears? why not put it in top gear and let the revs relax a bit?
RyrderD-75 normally cruise in fifth and sixth but when I’m riding with these guys a roll race can happen at any time 😂

Tammy Forbes I have a full system and a flash but I have quite a few races on it and never had any issues down low

Got one. Don`t like it all that much, will get another Z1000 as soon as i can swing it financially. Great seat tho...
Dang man I’m sorry to hear that. The z1000 is a great bike though!
