Bro, as a sport bike rider since 1989, ride as if cars can't see you and always assume they will pull into your lane or pull out in your path because they will. Second, learn how to use the front brake progressively. The rear brake can be used strategically but is useless to slow the bike in a panic situation. The front brake is 100% of your stopping power and you should practice it. If you panic and jerk the front brake from 0-100%, it will lock(abs will mitigate this but it is a bad thing to rely on instead of learning proper braking skill). You must squeeze the front brake and, as the fork compresses, the brake can be squeezed harder and harder as weight shifts forward and the front tire gets compressed and the contact patch gets larger and larger. Practice this until you can get the rear tire to come off the ground! This will prove to you how useless the rear brake is in a panic situation. I have taught over 15 new riders in the last 30+ years and those 2 tips are the best tips to save your life and keep it fun. I would never say don't get a liter bike, especially as a grown man who is past the stage of feeling invincible. I congratulate you on your first bike and it is awesome! What I love is the fact that he makes the audience be a part of feels like we standing right there next to him and we boys since high school or something
You dont want to go fast during the break in period anyways and make sure to do the oil change right after the break in period which is usually around 650 miles.
With the neutral thing, have the clutch pull in all the way and minutely move the bike forward with your feet. Makes it easier. Also when it comes to hand fatigue, try to support your weight with your thighs and core to alleviate supporting your upper body only on your wrists. The stalling, a little more steady gas and fluent clutch release. You’ll get the hang of that with muscle memory as you ride more and more. Biker to biker, you did great!✊🏾✊🏾👏🏾👏🏾 aware of your surroundings, good spacing, blinkers used lol (you can signal by pointing your feet too), you did great by waiting to turn until you felt it was safe as well!
I'm just gonna say this, the video has a lot of hype and so do you. Honestly this has been fun to watch and reading the comments I agree with a lot of them. But dude I don't know you and you don't know me. Don't take advice from strangers and I know I'm not the only stranger commenting. I remember when I first started riding I didnt necessarily want to go fast. I just wanted a "cool" bike. And I learned a lot since then. I have had one crash and a few close calls. And after 11 years of riding I am on a brand spanken new klr 650s. Its not a cool bike by any means but I love it and I use it for my needs and no longer have that itch to get the coolest and best thing there is. I just enjoy riding. Congrats on the new bike. It's a sweet rig, and you are going to have a ton of fun and learn a lot of things. Be safe but have fun!
Congrats! Also keep in mind; Supersports and especially Ducati's love to be at a high RPM, the bike will feel kinda jumpy at anything lower than 4000 rpm. When breaking in the engine make sure you vary the RPM's a lot. Ride safe and have fun!
Just a simple tip. Even though it all feels insane at first, relax and loosen up your grip on both bars. Also, try not too have your wrists straight, try to have a little break in your wrists and don’t put all your weight on them. That’ll help the hands hurting. Keep the shiny side up!
Just remember to use your target fixation to look as far ahead as possible where you’re wanting to go, also grip the bike with your knees so there’s less stress on your upper body 👍🏽 good luck and ride safe out there Cool ✌🏽
I’m a new rider myself, i started off on a zx-4rr because here in Florida the traffic is too much and having a liter bike was not really worth it but I stalled 5 times on my way home and 3 times the next day lol it happens. It took me 2 weeks to finally get comfortable to where I don’t stall anymore and learn the friction zone on my bike. Stay safe out there and always always keep that rider radar on point.
Don't ride on the midle of the lane because there can be oil leaks and you'll slip and fall, try riding on the sides of the lane where the car tires are. Be safe
@@jls.mp4No.. you don’t ride in the middle that’s where people don’t see you idiot. Guess you don’t ride? 😂 Like they said there is oil spots and many other hazards. You have to stay on the left or right of your lane
@@jls.mp4 No that's HORRIBLE advice cars won't see you even if you're dead in front of them. Most bike accidents happen at intersections and are often from behind. You always want an escape path and being in the middle lane can prevent that.
Neither you or any of the replies in this comment are correct 😂 There’s no right or wrong as to where you ride in the lane. The correct way is to constantly be looking ahead and utilising the whole lane to make sure you’re seen, or keep a distance from hazards. You should constantly be switching positions. Unless you’re on a straight road with no other vehicles and no turn offs.
@mikeadz1 trust me, all that won't save you from slipping on some gasoline or oil. If you just look straight ahead, you won't see what intentions the drivers around you have . There are a lot of exemples of riders falling, even on open roads, because of gas or oil. And being on the inside of a lane makes you 100 times more visible than switching pozitions for no reason.

congratulations on the new ducati v2. beautiful bike, but you gotta remember its your first bike, you are going to lay it down, wreck it or total it, and that's up to a 20k loss. everyone whose ever been on a bike will tell you the same. i used to think i was invincible on my bike till i totalled it when i slid out and sent it into a curb. please be careful, congrats again on the bike
Youp i chrashed my first street bike many times😂😂starting with 1000c no experience before is crazyy one too fast turn and you can be dead and sorry for my bad english😂
It’s tough because you’re tall but. Practice practice, follow motojitsu, be the boss of your motorcycle, and Dan Dan the fireman. Please get sliders for this beautiful bike.
@Rbj4525 Dan the fireman is like an annoying karen and if you ride like he says to there's no point in buying anything with power rofl. I get safety but bikes aren't meant for 100% safety. If you're that worried then buy a car or a trike lmao
Nice pickup Bro! Hell, shuda got the V4. You'll adapt. With self control and a focus on learning the bike you'll be fine. The unknown is the other drivers on the road. Focus on your braking, maneuverability and quick acceleration. All of this can get you out of a situation on the road. Ducati's are beautiful ! Good thing is Fall. they get hot. Oh.. last thing, it's getting cold out.. know that cold tires and cold roads equal falls. Be Safe!
Congrats bro from FL. As someone who started on a 02' ZX-12, all I can say is just be safe. Be mature, use good judgment, and whatever you do take it slow. Oh and by the way, every time you go out remember to ride like you're invisible. It's nothing personal its, that just motorcycles in traffic seem to short-circuit most people's brains.👏👍
Yooo thats crazy. Huge congrats! Take it easy and practice the basics, like lane potions (1, 2, and 3 or left, middle, and right) and throttle/rear break control. Lane positioning is huge for being visible to drivers (also avoiding blind spots) and avoiding stuff in the road. Enjoy it though. Bike life is best life when done right.
lol I'm 16 and I started on a Yamaha r6 he will be just fine. You just have to respect the bike and know your skill level edit: I am not saying an r6 and v2 are similar. Excellent choice dude! keep it in rain mode and the higest depower mode you can starting out getting used to the bike(this will save you from spinning out in shit conditions or looping the bike if you grab too much throttle). like others have said keep your head on a swivel, people don't see us so its up to you to be prepared for anything. in your first year if you really want to get good at riding, ride as much as you can. Commuting to work? ride. Getting groceries? ride. Going to the gym? ride. Miles are experience and it all adds up.

Your vid popped up on my account. Congrats on the new bike. And please, i beg you please. Take your time with the bike. Ride it slow and get the feel for it. Even if it takes you months. All within my first 30 days of riding! But the learning curve varies person to person. Its a different beast outside of the safety course. And I only started with a big bike because I got a great deal on it. Keep your head on a swivel, stay in view of side mirrors and take off from stop lights kinda quick. Stay safe, stay alert Brother!!!

@@JoJewyd YOO LMAO
Please be careful bro, that is an INSANE first bike, I know you got crazy driving skills but other drivers suck and we need your content
Congrats! Also keep in mind; Supersports and especially Ducati's love to be at a high RPM, the bike will feel kinda jumpy at anything lower than 4000 rpm. When breaking in the engine make sure you vary the RPM's a lot. Ride safe and have fun!
From city car driving to cars now to bikes. This is what hardwork and dedication looks like.Congratulations on getting your first bike.
Just a simple tip. Even though it all feels insane at first, relax and loosen up your grip on both bars. Also, try not too have your wrists straight, try to have a little break in your wrists and don’t put all your weight on them. That’ll help the hands hurting. Keep the shiny side up!
He finally did ittt!!!! Get ready to witness soem of the best motorbike content ever mang!!
Be safe
Always ride in the middle so cars see you better
@@jls.mp4No.. you don’t ride in the middle that’s where people don’t see you idiot. Guess you don’t ride? 😂 Like they said there is oil spots and many other hazards. You have to stay on the left or right of your lane
@@jls.mp4 No that's HORRIBLE advice cars won't see you even if you're dead in front of them. Most bike accidents happen at intersections and are often from behind.
You always want an escape path and being in the middle lane can prevent that.
Neither you or any of the replies in this comment are correct 😂
There’s no right or wrong as to where you ride in the lane.
And being on the inside of a lane makes you 100 times more visible than switching pozitions for no reason.
nahhh coolkid snapped on this one, congrats man. Also the roller shot (perfecto)
98mph on the first ride is crazy, i remember 2 years ago watching your videos and now we r here. A crazy Journey and it turned out the best, need more content like this fr!
Genuinely so happy for you the bike is absolutely beautiful congratulations, ride safe.
I found you when I was looking into 350z’s and to see you get your bike makes me so happy for you and for myself knowing someone as amazing as you out there has your dreams picking up makes me think I can still have that dream
This is incredible, you look sick on it. NO NEGATIVITY but , big but here...... DONT TRUST ANYBODY ON THE ROAD. Cant stress this enough. You take care on that v2 beast. 👌
Cant wait for what you get into , new bike content on the rise. 😁
Also ,wheres the videos bro, i know you streaming but we waitin out here. 👍
He better stay safe out there. No negativity Indeed. 👍

Loved the video homie. Reminded me of when I got my first bike. I was literally smiling from ear to ear when you said you felt so free and 70 feels crazy. Pretty sure I said those exact words. Ride safe and stay vigilant. Congratulations!
congratulations on the new ducati v2. beautiful bike, but you gotta remember its your first bike, you are going to lay it down, wreck it or total it, and that's up to a 20k loss. everyone whose ever been on a bike will tell you the same. i used to think i was invincible on my bike till i totalled it when i slid out and sent it into a curb. please be careful, congrats again on the bike
Youp i chrashed my first street bike many times😂😂starting with 1000c no experience before is crazyy one too fast turn and you can be dead and sorry for my bad english😂
Lies, never dropped my bike once or wrecked….
It’s tough because you’re tall but. Practice practice, follow motojitsu, be the boss of your motorcycle, and Dan Dan the fireman. Please get sliders for this beautiful bike.
@@user-yq3fq3nw3uit’s a statistic. A majority of first bikes get wrecked within a year.
Be Safe!
Be safe bro motorcycles is a whole nother level🙏🏾
Congrats bro from FL. As someone who started on a 02' ZX-12, all I can say is just be safe. Be mature, use good judgment, and whatever you do take it slow. Oh and by the way, every time you go out remember to ride like you're invisible. It's nothing personal its, that just motorcycles in traffic seem to short-circuit most people's brains.👏👍
leave the ego at home when you get on that thing, let them be crazy if they want, stick to your pace and make it home safe 👍
Ride your own ride.
@@GH0STMANE995 ☝this the ego im talking bout
Yooo thats crazy. Huge congrats! Take it easy and practice the basics, like lane potions (1, 2, and 3 or left, middle, and right) and throttle/rear break control. Lane positioning is huge for being visible to drivers (also avoiding blind spots) and avoiding stuff in the road. Enjoy it though. Bike life is best life when done right.
That for a first bike is WAY too powerfull
Ye, wtf 😂
lol I'm 16 and I started on a Yamaha r6 he will be just fine. You just have to respect the bike and know your skill level
edit: I am not saying an r6 and v2 are similar. I more referring to age the bikes were bought at. R6 could seem way too big for a 16 year old the same way a v2 could seem too big for him.
@@R6Siege_Addicta v2 and an r6 are no where near the same! But yes being respectful of what the bike is capable of and knowing your skill level will go a long way
@@R6Siege_AddictI played Russian roulette and survived, does it means that everyone that plays it survive?
@treybohanan4380 lots of people nowadays start on 1000cc bikes + he seems responsible enough to even own a v4
Congratulations. Ride safe. Get safety courses too! That's a lot of bike for a new rider. And most of all HAVE FUN out there

60 mph in 6th gear is CRAZY
🤣
Was about to come and say the same thing, absolutely diabolical work by this man.
Pretty normal if you're just cruising
prob also has a break in period. i just picked up a 2025 zx10r and cant (shouldnt) go over 4k rpm, so even in 6th gear at 4k rpm im only going about 55mph
wsp jay, glad to see you got a bike. can’t WAIT for bike content, much love 🤘
Awsome to see you joining the bike club! The V2 panigale is my dream Ducati. Such a good looking bike!
Just one thing for your own safety please do some parking lot manoeuvring exercises, figure eights, slow speed riding, leaning, counter steering and most importantly HARD braking practice! That skill has saved me countless times from my stupidity 😅
Really looking forward to more bike content, going to meets or race events.
The helmet camera’s quality on the bike is sick. But the mic seemed to be peaking a lot, would be cool to have mic quality on par with the video quality!
Bro....I can't stress how HAPPY I am for YOU. I CANT WAIT TO EXPERIENCE THAT SAME EXCITEMENT next year.
Same
My first bike was a 2014 Ducati Panigale 899 and I bought it before I took the course lol. Now I motovlog in Vietnam on a ADV scooter. Love your videos and I can't wait to see what you're going to do with the Ducati.
Get some full boots, ankle and shin injurys are most common even if you dont drop the bike.
aaaaayyyyeeeeeee just found a new youtube channel to support!!!! Congratulations on your new bike bredron! Ima be getting my first bike soon man and I cant wait to experience these moments. Great first bike man!!!! Ride safe my boy!
Just stumbled on this channel. Yooo this dude is tall!! He sat on the bike and touched the floor with his hand 😮 I ran to my garage and tried to do it on all my bikes. I laughed at myself 🤣😂🤣
That's a terrifying first bike. Stay safe brother🙏

Broski, great bike! As a sports bike rider myself like everyone said, ride like no one can see you. Also, your bike has a quick shifter, you don't need to clutch on shifts 😉 only on take offs and when you come to a stop. enjoy and ride safe my guy.
The start of a new era 🔥
Damn bros starter bike is some people’s dream bike! First ride recorded with some B-roll was killer 💯 Very wholesome content man
Bro this is lowkey inspirational, cant wait for the coolkid motovlogs
I enjoyed watching you get comfortable with the bike LOL and actually having fun
He should've bought a Multistrada or a street fighter. Of course hands are gonna hurt after a while. I bet his spine was done too after that ride. Sport bike with that aggressive ergonomics especially for someone who's tall and has to hunch forward so much is crazy.
V2 1st bike?!?! it was nice knowin ya
I took delivery of a black edition V2 in January 2024, like the one parked next to your bike. I'm loving my V2. Waited 17 years for my bike.Wishing you many safe miles - What an awesome bike.
freaky frog🐸
I love the excitement in your voice as you jump on the highway and feel freedom for the first time.
AS A FIRST BIKE!!??? Daymn u tweaking. Anyway keep safe and love from indonesia 🔥🔥
Your vid popped up on my account. Congrats on the new bike. And please, i beg you please. Take your time with the bike. Ride it slow and get the feel for it. Even if it takes you months. Be patient, and dont get over confident. That Ducati is a serious machine. And if you ride with friends. Dont try to keep up. Ride at the pace you feel comfortable with. Definitely want to see you in more videos, and see your progress. Congrats once again.
39:49 “I HAVE A DU- YO WHAT THA FUCK” after sitting on it more times than he’s blinked in his life and buying and driving home is the REALEST shit ever 😭😭
Much Love, Motorcycle rider myself. Just so you know we are about to have the R9 release from Yamaha which I think you will really like as I vouch for the CP3 engine. Be carful out there!
Never clicked so fast
coolkid i've been watching u long time now and i know u love cars, and now ur getting passionate about motorcycles, man be careful with that... Dont get confortable on it, i started on an mt07 and its alright, made some mistakes but hey live to learn, just be careful!
No joke be safe bro we love you ❤️
To make your hands more comfortable, grip the bike with your legs mainly. Helps a lot. I started on an R6; the V2 is my next vibe.
Btw, I can tell you already being new you’re going to drop this bike at least a couple times. So anticipate having to repair your plastics. And these bikes ain’t cheap to fix like a gsxr
Congrats bro I'm glad you've joined the moto clique! If you ever down in TN... we got you bruh!
31:20 glad you know to keep the rpm low while your engine breaking your bike😁
Congratulations bro!! You’re a new rider and this your first bike is CRAZY!! Please be safe! Especially if you think 70 is fast 😮

It's official he now a lost and damned welcome brother let's fucking gooooo 🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️
Love to see you having fun ,wellcome to the group ,be safe brother!
The ducati has quickshifter up and down. You can downshift and upshit without using the clutch
You’ll be alright as long as your level headed. I went from a Harley with a 117in engine, pretty much a 1800cc to a BMW S1000rr and had no problems. I’ve had motorcycles my entire life but never sport bikes
36:54 is just beautiful. Literally.
YO, I started on a k5 gsxr-750 and for your first time on a bike you did AMAZING! peace and love to you and I hope you keep riding and stay safe brother! don't let the haters bring you down COOLKID!

Welcome to the club brother. Ride your own ride and be safe. You did great!
Trying to downshift mid turn is diabolical 😂😂😂
My first bike was a 2006 CBR1000RR I named Onyx! I took the msc in 2008 just before I hit 40 yrs old! Loved it! Dropped it 3 times(if I didnt have my helmet on, I would look like Darkman😂), gaurdrailed it once(just after a motorcycle safety day ride my duty station hosted😂) which shredded the right side of me and the bike up leaving me swiss cheesed up with 1/2 thorns in my arm and leg, I maxxed her out at 184mph which made my tires look like cake frosting and got my curve game down to where my "chicken strips" were about a 1/4 inch thick! All within my first 30 days of riding! But the learning curve varies person to person. Its a different beast outside of the safety course. And I only started with a big bike because I got a great deal on it. Keep your head on a swivel, stay in view of side mirrors and take off from stop lights kinda quick. Stay safe, stay alert Brother!!!
which video is the 9:21 "bugashtee" from?
i’m personally not a very experienced rider i don’t have a bike yet but the only thing i have to say is make sure you drop gears as you slow down or speeding up from slower speeds so the bike picks up faster other than that man beautiful bike love to see you loving life and winning keep it up
Not a good first bike, this is a great race bike for a very proficient rider whos been riding a long time.
Be proud of it, you worked your ass off and you deserve it! Work hard play harder.. Proud of you!
