This would be pretty funny if it turns out that I'm the leaker on Reddit. I saw this (the public pull of building permits) posted on the Facebook group for season pass holders, posted it on r/rollercoasters, then saw the notice on the Facebook group that you are covering this in Tower Topics, then listen and hear that someone leaked it on Reddit.
Hello! I'm new to the channel. I agree Soak City needs something new, but what I think it needs personally is more seating space. Everytime my wife,kids, and I go there, almost every seat is filled. Thats what I would like to see.
I think this suggests KI will get their next thrill coaster in 2026. It seems Cedar Fair (now Six Flags) put KI on the Canada's Wonderland playbook of Kids Coaster (Snoopy's Racing Railway) -> Waterpark upgrade (Moosehorn Falls)-> thrill coaster (their new launch coaster from Premier coming in 2026).
Not intending this negatively at all, but I gotta say it's about time! This makes me happy. In 2016 I was happy we jumped on the trap door slide craze so early.. but.. since before then, ever since I saw the one at KK in 08 (idk when it opened) I had been hoping for one. I will only say that I hope we don't have to haul our boats up the tower😅 Holiday world spoiled me. They know how to do a high capacity water coaster. Adventure port is good! Only wish they would have rotated the basketball game and opened up Adventure express and Sol Spin's entrance plaza. Love that they actually followed through to make the concrete head but people's first time in the area always think Sol Spin's exit is the enteance and also, you gotta keep my boy AE in thd lime-light! Oh and smaller wish, is that they would have widened the main path to address that area's bottleneck
also planning on a freestyle/icee station in the empty concrete spot going into action zone. i did check the blue prints and the master blaster is going where the old surf ride was. the best thing about this is being on the back side of soak city the lines for monsoon/zoom flume should be a little shorter. right now it is a minimum 30 minute wait.
Soak city is past due on a new attraction! But it’s been rumored for several years now that this was coming! Do you think another food option for Soak City could still be added to compliment Smoke House and Coconut Cove?
Sweet! I've been wondering why parks like CP or KI don't have a water coaster. I mean, Holiday World has had theirs for a while, and even Waldameer has one. I may actually have to go to the water park now.
A water coaster is an attraction that has been needed for awhile. After my visits to Holiday World and experience their water coasters this was an absolute must at Soak City. I know a lot of thoosies are gonna be upset as vortex land plot will sit untouched for another year but they need to be patient to put the perfect replacement. Soak City has upgraded their dining and bar areas and taking up to another level. I’m not a big water park guy but those smoked wings are the best thing next to a pub burger at the park. I’m very excited about the future project and hope they come with a cool exciting name with some themed merchandise to sell. I don’t think they have ever sold themes soak city rides ? Correct me if I’m wrong. Just keep doing what you are doing. Hope to see you around the park.
Kings island has so much potential to be a great park. They have a lot of room to build. This is disappointing as I was looking forward to a new coaster.
They JUST built a new one. It is a nicely built family ride, but it is still a roller coaster. The build schedule has gotten faster in recent years, so I'd expect something to go into the vortex plot in 2026 or 27
I feel like mystic timbers needs a drop track & cargo loco needs a roof with an object maybe a giant Crane or something😊 in the center of the ride I don't know if it plays music but also music....lol😅 still a great area though🎉 glad they did all that and I love adventure Express! Best mind ride next to Big thunder mountain!

Looks like one drop and then a bunch of curves. So typical of a kings island shortcut ride.
The food for the fest...The po boy in particular nev mind the rest, was great! The meal plan is clutch🎉😅
