Patrick I’m a random Spanish guy. My wife left me after 25 years for a younger man when she lost weight via surgery. Lived in my car for a few months. Your wife is beautiful, congratulations on your granddaughter. Thank you for sharing your stories. I believe EVERY word.
I totally believe you, I dated a man who was so much like you, brilliant, charismatic, just an awesome man. Very wealthy at one time but lost it all to alcoholism. He went for several yrs sober but started drinking again and died from a head injury from falling in the shower. He was only 58. I love your videos because you remind me of him. I still miss him very much.

After 20 years of heroin addiction I am so blessed and grateful that I have good health now and my family is so supportive. Very sorry to hear about your friend. Addiction robs so much and it will never stop taking. You are a compassionate, empathetic, and kind intelligent person. God bless you 🙏

@@tbjdiamonddogThe problem is the location is not an option for many people. Living costs are relative to geographical location and that markets economic position - its all relative 💕.

I’m 66. Been sober 20 months. Lots of aches and pains , but feels great to be sober. I drank since I was a teenager. Many things led me to stopping drinking, but primarily it was the birth of my beautiful granddaughter. Her arrival also contributed to me selling my beloved Harley Davidson. I felt I had to take some steps to BE HERE to watch her grow up. My beautiful wife and I just celebrated 39 years of marriage. She tolerated my drinking for over 40 years. I was a functioning alcoholic. Had a successful contracting business. I roughly calculated how much money I spent drinking, at home, going to restaurants and bars. I’m ashamed to admit it’s probably 100k. Wish I had that money , but looking back is pointless. Better late than never. My circle of “ friends “ has changed, for the better and I DONT MISS the hangovers. I’ll never drink again life is good. I enjoy your videos. I give you credit for baring it all. Take care my friend.
I sometimes wish I got hangovers. I only drink 2 or maybe 3 times a week. So it's not too bad, and I function well enough. It's not like I don't have a good day after it, and if I NEED to, I get things done, but if I don't need to,,, I take the day for myself. A LOT of wasted days for that unless you consider taking time for yourself to relax a good thing, which most of the time I feel I deserve, but the others,,,, wasted. My few friends tell me I'm fine and that I'm not an alcoholic, but I consider myself as one. Be it a smaller one than most. I can say that I love drinking, but I can also say that my life would probably be better without it. Am I just feeling guilty for those that are worse for it than I am? That's my big question I guess. I truly don't know. 58 YO now.
@@garrykennedy5484Yeah trust me man hangovers ensure I will never be an alcoholic.Been drunk maybe 4 times in last 25 years and it,s a whole other level of misery.

Glad you made this video. Some people just do not understand truth. You are an inspiration to me. Thank you.
The US is a wild place to grow up in and work. The greatest possibilities imaginable are out there. But a simple life is the best... I'm glad you got to do it and glad you are still here to talk about it...
From One ex addict to another God bless you. I have almost 2 years clean now from 20 year heroin addiction. Besides your wife your family and your sobriety your honesty is the biggest gift that you have and that you will keep continuing to give yourself and those around you. That honesty will pay dividends later on as it already has. Thank you for making videos for other people but it will help you process everything and get it all out and it will help you just as much as it helps other people that is great. You have love in your life you have a sense of freedom and most importantly you have honesty true complete honesty. And it feels great to live honestly and have honesty in your life. God bless you 🙏 even if you do look like an Irish dollar store version of the dude 😂 I mean hey I look like a 25-cent version of Papa Smurf 😎

You know your heart you do need to care what people think. You know who you are god bless
I deeply admire you; the majority of us have complete faith in you. As I grow older, I've realized that the best memories don't cost much, usually less than $20. Also, the term "friends" should be redefined as "temporary people!" and money as a means of manipulation. Keep doing what you do, my friend.
I identify on all levels bro. From being thankful for not ever getting a DUI to the remorse of truly horrible actions. I’m stoked at a 2nd chance too and I’m glad I found your channel.
Honesty & sincerity are things hard to come across nowadays. I appreciate yours.
You just shared my Story… Thank you!

If u lose the roof over ur head you’ve lost something, if you lose ur friends you’ve lost a lot, but if u lose ur sanity you’ve lost everything.

Wisdom is the more valuable than gold, so keep it coming my sir! I just subscribed & I’m excited to see new content on what you’re doing. Thank you!
You are very honest and true. You have to seperate yourself from the "worth of the money", "alcohol" and your true self is great and worth ❤❤❤❤❤
Respect to you Patrick for opening up. You have much of life experience to give. I'm sure you are strong enough to keep taking strangers Pocking you for a reaction considering so called friends turning you over in your past. Be sure that hearing you helps many including myself realize we can all bounce back from life's knocks.
Great stories. Great attitude. Inspiring
Keep up the good work and continue to make videos if that is what you like to do. One of your videos came across one day, and after watching that video, I had to go all the way back to your first video and followed from there. Thank you for sharing your life stories. I admire your courage in sharing your life story and lessons with others. It takes real strength to turn tough experiences into something that can help others avoid the same mistakes. Your resilience shows that success isn't just about what we achieve, but how we bounce back. Keep going-you're making a real difference, and your story will inspire many to make better choices. Stay strong!
Patrick. The truth is our greatest asset. To thine own self be true. I love your videos as another sober person. Talk about sobriety which is way more than not drinking. We call that sodriety.
Hello from Galway, Ireland, Patrick. You said you were half-Irish, bro. Stay positive no matter what, lol. You have a great Family, And a Beautiful Wife. Stay Safe and be lucky. 🙏🙏👌👏👏👏👏👏👏
