Second comment now that I finished the video, here’s my ranking of Wave 6: 1st DK Mountain. Absolute favorite track in the series and they still nailed it exactly like how I wanted it to turn out. Some nitpicks I guess is I wish the second boulder still came from the top of the first sharp turn instead of on the second and also the bridge just being a tad longer. Other than that, phenomenal remake and I love how they made the gap cut harder to pull off. 2nd: Madrid Drive. Might be my new favorite city track and I’m happy that my ancestor’s home is the final city track in the game. Really a blast to race on even if at first I was iffy about Madrid 1 being the final lap. 3rd: Bowser Castle 3. Stellar remake and they outdid themselves with this one when they really didn’t have to lol 4th: Wii Rainbow Road. Another they didn’t have to but it’s amazing and plays almost exactly like its original Wii counterpart. Also noted that it is in fact the longest track in 8 Deluxe almost clocking in at 3 minutes. 5th: Rome Avanti. A little less hectic than I thought since they did get rid of one of the paths entirely but I love how it turned out and it’s fun to play! Love also how adorable non Tour players struggle in these tracks lol 6th: Piranha Plant Cove. I wanted to rank this higher since I was hyped for it since it came out earlier this year in Tour but it feels really barren and empty sometimes despite it looking as serene as ever. It’s one of those tracks that’s unfortunately a slogfest in 150CC but plays amazingly in 200CC. Not the best thing imo. 7th: Rosalina’s Ice World. I like the new remix of the theme and the atmosphere but not much else going for it. Would’ve rather personally preferred Shy Guy Bazaar or Wario Shipyard instead but then again the former is a Mushroom Cup track and the other could clash with PPC so it’s kind of the best filler 3DS track they could’ve chosen even if I don’t agree personally. Still the definitive version of the track however. 8th: Daisy Circuit. Why? Idk it was my least hyped track since its bottom 3 for me in Wii and Dry Dry Ruins was right there as a Top 3 Wii track! Track feels massively over-scaled as well like PPC and considering we’ve known this track the longest kinda drags out the hype further for me. Besides that, I love how the BCP turned out even if there were still some favorites of mine in Tour that I would’ve loved. Most likely besides Dry Dry Ruins, I would’ve also loved to have seen Mushroom Bridge originally, Piranha Plant Pipeline, and Airship Fortress rip.
There are two things that surprise me about this video, the first is that you had more hype for Rome than for Madrid and you ended up liking Madrid much more, and the second is that you value Madrid, really any city track with a blue sky is doomed to be just as boring as Tokyo just because it has the same sky, but I like that you are more objective and value more for the content of the track and not just because Rome simply looks pretty.
I would love to see you rank all 48 Booster Course Pass tracks in one big list! I wonder if any of your opinions of previous waves changed overtime? I know mine did
“No! Bertil! I’m sorry!” Got me laughing so hard. Fun aside, this is my ranking: 8. Dk mountain. Too thin, and the shortcut sucks. The sun is also in a spot which makes it even worse. 7. Rosalina’s ice world. Good atmosphere, just too bland. 6. Rome Avanti. I love and it’s my best track. Just too much competition. 5. Piranha plant cove. I love the graphics. The gameplay is also amazing. 4. Madrid Drive. So fun and music SLAPS! 3. Bowser’s castle 3. Music is peak, fun turns, and just great all around. 2. Rainbow Road. A little janky but still a beautiful experience. And they kept Saturn in the distance 🪐. 1. Daisy Circuit. I love it. Beautiful theming and execution.
I appreciate the Madrid love. It was kinda crazy seeing it in Mario kart because I lived there for a month and I recognized everything. I lived directly across from Retiro park and was on the same street as Puerta de Alcalá. I didn't know anything about Retiro(one of my favorite locations I've experienced) before I went to Madrid, so it was a crazy experience seeing it in Mario Kart.
a bit of a shame, DK Mountain really missed where a good chunk of retros hit and we probably wont even get it for the next game - they gotta make Dino Dino Jungle next level to make up for this!
Acorn cup had a little too much hate, as I think Piranha Plant Cove and DK Mountain are better than Rosalina's Ice World and Madrid Drive. These are my rankings based on experience (they are better than most waves tbh): 1. Wii Rainbow Road - I mean, what did we expect lol? While they did take away the crazy shortcuts, it overall just plays so well and better in anti-gravity, not to mention they kept things like the meteoric fall animation and the components that made it one of the best rainbow roads. Definitely a banger of a track. 2. Piranha Plant Cove - This one very much impressed me for a water track, with great short cuts, great scenery and I love how each lap makes it feel like a new track each time. Definitely one of the best non-city tracks from tour. 3/4. SNES Bowser Castle 3 - Now this was a fantastic glow up, with the track looking incredible and the anti-gravity adding a fantastic action packed feel to it. It is however let down by it just being short. 3/4. DK Mountain - Always was a fun and fantastic track, which not only looks good now but it also kept the great end shortcut. I just think however the other tracks in this wave outshine it just barely (This and Bowser Castle 3 could swap places). 5. Madrid Drive - It is better than Rome with aesthetics and many more enemies to dodge, not to mention each lap feels memorable. It is however still not better than the likes of Athens Dash or Vancouver Velocity though. 6. Rome Avanti - It's a pretty great tour track with great turns and great aesthetics, but I feel like other tour tracks outclass it. 7. Rosalina's Ice World - Quite a good ice track, but it just doesn't compare to the tracks above. 8. Daisy Circuit - Fun track, but as it's a circuit, its simplicity therefore lets it down.
I would love to see a Sapporo track in a DLC with a Pokémon crossover for 3 reasons: 1-It’s gonna be an ice track, which is always a win in my books 2-It could have a peak remix of "Kimi no Soba De" or "It’ll be fine" which are Dawn’s 2 themes from the Pokémon anime. 3-Since Dawn’s main Pokémon is a Piplup, we may get penguins on this track. It’s unlikely, but if it happens, I will sure love it.
What shocked me about this wave is just how good Peachette actually was. Her biker suit was needed and had helped her feel more like a Toadette alt rather than a Peach alt
It's pretty crazy that adding some underwater physics and adjusting the scale slightly made Rainbow Road all that much better. Wii Rainbow Road was never my favorite one but still in my top 4. However it might just be my favorite Rainbow road now! It's fantastic!
Shame that the entirety of the Acorn Cup is the bottom half, but I’m happy they’re all good regardless. I’d argue that Madrid Drive as number 4, still in the top half, mainly due to its routes, but still being brilliant in every way it could go, 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World as third, as that one feels under-appreciated, SNES Bowser Castle 3 is actually in my opinion, number 2, due to being the BEST SNES remake to exist, better than Tour’s version actually, and even Wii Rainbow Road at number 1 is no surprise, I didn’t expect the entire track to be anti-gravity, the fireball effect returning from the original, and just being a satisfying conclusion to being the final track of the game. Honestly, it really ended on a perfect note, and I couldn’t have been more happier with what we received! Thanks for covering the Pass in its entirety, and hope for more brilliant content in the future!
My ranking would be 8 Madrid Drive: It's just another city to me, it's more interesting than most others but it's not the best one to me 7 Rome Avanti: Same as Madrid but I vastly prefer the atmosphere that helps it be on top of Madrid in my opinion despite the lesser variety 6 Piranha Plant Cove It's pretty cool, it's very pretty, and it's better than Pipeline in my opinion, but it's not the best one between Tour's nitro tracks in 8, 3rd worst behind Sky High Sundae and Merry Mountain 5 Wii Daisy Circuit: pretty great track with a really beautiful glowup and really nice gameplay overhauls, just doesn't make sense being so late in the DLC but I guess with how much things got stirred, this is where it ended up 3 SNES Bowser's Castle 3: The visuals, hazzards, elevation and music make this SNES track feel like anything but, it's pretty short but it's amazing how much fun that short time is 2 3DS Rosalina's Ice World I might be biased because alongside DS, 7 was one of my childhood Mario Kart games, but I think this track was one of the best of that game and the glow up in this game leaves Tour's in the dust 1 Wii Rainbow Road Wii Rainbow Road
The reason Wii Daisy Circuit is the 3rd course of the Acorn Cup is because almost every Wii course is the 3rd course of a cup. So, it made sense for Wii Daisy Circuit to be the 3rd course of the Acorn Cup (even though it's easy) since it's a Wii course.
My top 5 bcp tracks (not in order) Wii Rainbow Road 3DS Rainbow Road Yoshi’s Island Tour Singapore Speedway Wii Moonview Highway My 5 worst bcp tracks SNES Mario Circuit 3 GBA Sunset Wilds 3DS Toad Circuit DS Mario Circuit N64 Choco Island My top 5 music SNES Bowsers Castle 3 3DS Rainbow Road Wii Moonview highway Tour Singapore Speedway Ninja Hideaway

Gonna post this again cause I can hehe This wave is easily the best one yet. Amazing tracks, consistent visuals, banger remixes, and amazing characters. What an amazing end to an amazing DLC. In terms of ranking, I'd rank them like this: 1. GCN DK Mountain: Has been my favorite track ever since the Wii days and man was this remake amazing 2. Wii Rainbow Road: What an epic remake of the original and a fitting end to the DLC 3. Tour Rome Avanti: Most likely my favorite city track. The routes just feel so good, this should've been in Spiny 4. SNES Bowser Castle 3: Wow a SNES track with good visuals, elevation, and a banger remix? Who would've thought 5. 3DS Rosalina's Ice World: A calm yet chaotic track. Definitely underrated and deserving of a slot 6. Tour Madrid Drive: Good city but the route order is pretty bad. Imo L1 was the best, L2 was easily the worst, and L3 is good but short 7. Wii Daisy Circuit: A simple but fun track. Always have loved this one and its remake is faithful and fun 8. Piranha Plant Cove: Oh boy do I have a lot to say about this one. I never thought I'd say this, but the Tour version of this track is better. I love Cove in Tour, but here it feels so big, long, and some sections just feel empty. Imo the 2nd worst nitro track and a pretty disappointing way to end the nitro selection if you ask me I really enjoy the characters, but I think wave 5 had more unique and fun characters.
I might as well give my list 8: Rosalina’s Ice World: it was quite fun just definitely not my favourite, it’s nothing that special. 7. Rome Avanti: It was also pretty fun, but I couldn’t care less. 6. Madrid Drive: Pretty Epic, that’s all I need to say 5. Piranha plant cove: if this was a city track, it would be my favourite 4. Daisy Circuit: I loved this, it was very cool. 3. DK Mountain: I really like mountains, and also the shortcut is very epic. 2. Rainbow Road: I’m surprised by how low this is 1. Bowser Castle 3: it plays amazingly and is probably my favourite looking track in the game
ALL HAIL WII RAINBOW ROAD!!! The ranking was kinda close to mine, just put Madrid behind BC3 and we’re golden. PS, Albert, if you’re reading this, reply to me if you want to hear a theory I have about Piranha Plant Pipeline.
I always enjoy your videos, despite the fact that our opinions usually differ. Here is my ranking: 1. Piranha Plant Cove 2. Rainbow Road 3. Bowsers Castle 4. Rosalinas Ice World 5. Rome 6. Daisy Circuit 7. Dk Mountain 8. Madrid Dk mountain was very disappointing. One of my most anticipated tracks was quite bland and not nearly as exciting as the original.
My ranking: #1 Wii Rainbow Road - Best rainbow road, the perfect way to end the booster pass, the track is AMAZING from start to finish. #2 GCN DK Mountain - Im glad to see my favorite double dash course make a come back, and oh boy! The mountain looks more menacing and epic. Track is great as always and im glad they still kept the gap cup, and its always fun to perform it. #3 SNES Bowser Castle 3 - They went real hard with a SNES remake, im glad nintendo made an actual good SNES course, the track looks and is epic, very cool, just how an SNES remake should look like. #4 Wii Daisy Circuit - Track is beautiful, one of my favorite circuit tracks made its way to the DLC, I think adding a glider ramp to the stairs shortcut was a smart move, great track! #5 Tour Pirahna Plant Cove - As someone who never played Tour, Pirahna Plant Cove is a good track! This track has one of the most beautiful visuals of all the DLC, underwater tracks are not my thing, but this track is decently good with a lot of the tricks you can do! #6 Tour Madrid Drive - This is a great way to put a final city course to the DLC, great music, and having wigglers in Madrid even though I didnt remember seeing them in Madrid is pretty cool, and driving through the art muesum and football stadium creates for a decent city course. #7 Tour Rome Avanti - Rome is a great city! Im glad to see two Tour tracks in this wave of real life locations ive been to, Rome Avanti is one of the prettiest city tracks ive seen in this DLC, altough the track could feel like most city tracks at times, altough decent track! #8 Rosalina's Ice World - Ive never been a huge fan of Rosalina's Ice World, is not a bad track by any mean, but I think MK7 had some tracks that couldve surprised us even more like Maka Wuhu, or Wario's Shipyard would've been a great shocker for us, but no, instead we get this track. Rosalina's Ice World is alright, it is slightly better than Ice Ice Outpost, even if I think the 8 version is better than the MK7 version of the track I still think its alright here. They added some halfpipes beffore entering underwater or in the slippery ice which is an unexpected change, and they even added a shortcut. Like I said, I think this remake is alright.
My ranking: C tier: 8. Tour Rome Avanti 7. Tour Madrid Drive B tier: 6. 3DS Rosalina's Ice World 5. Wii Daisy Circuit A tier: 4. Piranha Plant Cove S tier: 3. SNES Bowser Castle 3 2. GCN DK Mountain 1. Wii Rainbow Road
I'm glad to see someone else who loves the Tour City tracks. I never got the hate for them. I love racing in real-world locations with the lap-changing mechanic and I hope it returns in the next Mario Kart game!
Great ranking Albert! Love the controversial takes as always! My ranking might be even more controversial, though: S - Tour Piranha Temple (JPN name), Tour Rome Avanti, SNES Bowser Castle 3, Wii Rainbow Road A - 3DS Rosalina's Ice World, Tour Madrid Drive B - GCN DK Mountain C - (Nothing in C) D - Wii Daisy Circuit
Not upbeat like Berlin Byways, Singapore Speedway, Vancouver Velocity, and best of all (imo) Los Angeles Laps, but I do love the use of spanish guitar. Madrid’s music is great for something else.
I just wish Wii Rainbow Road didn’t have the tile pattern for the road, if it had something more akin to 3DS’s RR remake, it would be a genuinely perfect track to me
okey dokey. ranking time! 8. Daisy circuit- i was really like "why this lol" when they revealed it in the direct. playing it now, it is super fun relaxing, and i do enjoy it, though there are some gripes i have. this is small, but why did they add a ramp right after the tunnel? it feels super out of place. I also think that the glider is just way too slow after the shortcut and ruins pacing. Overall, i enjoy the track, but i still wonder why they picked it... 7. Rome avanti- basic city course at night time. not much special going on but it's a fun track! 6. Rainbow road- i always thought this track was overrated, but they made it very well. the sections feel great, it plays well and is paced greatly. they also kept the falling animation which i was super pleased to see! i don't really have too many complaints i can think of atm, but i've personally never really seen the hype of this track everyone else did. 5. DK Mountain- I agree that the pacing is a bit messed up by the forced break drifting, but i honestly like that it takes some skill to best navigate the track. i'm happy they nerfed the shortcut since it was too OP in the past, and yeah. thats about it. very solid remake imo 4. Rosalina's ice world- they really nailed the atmosphere, and because galaxy was one of the first games i ever played, this track really speaks to me. every change they made benefited the track imo, and it is just always a pleasure to race on. the only thing i miss is the sea-green hue on the ice itself which was present in mk7. they really nailed this one. 3. Piranha plant cove- i thought this would be my favorite track in the wave when i saw it. the visuals were amazing, and i always thought it had such good potential to be a reaaaaaally good track in deluxe while playing it in tour. my only complaint is how long the water drops are, but their existence makes some reeeeeallllly cool shortcuts which completely makes up for it. great track! 2. Bowser castle 3- i expected it to be here the second it got into tour. it was amazing there. its even more amazing here. nothing else needs to be said. 1. Madrid Drive- i was noooooot expecting this to be so good in deluxe, but god daaamn they nailed it. when i first played it in tour, i expected it to just be another tour track, but here its just soooo gooooooood. the more i play it the more i feel it encapsulates tour courses as a whole. it's some really well made monuments chained together by a series of roads. the connect-the-dots-ey feeling with madrid really makes me like it already. on top of that, the music also encapsulates the culture of spain, and the remixes went haaaard. visually it's also great everywhere. and the 2 shortcuts completely caught me off guard as well. this is a top 10 track in the game for me and i was not expecting that!!! overall great wave. personally i thought wave 5 was a little better, but it was really close between the 2 for me great video! your takes were interesting and well explained! o7 pipeline
Wave three was good but I have to give the edge to Wave 5 Squeaky Clean Sprint in my second favor Nitro in the BCP and Athens Dash and Vancouver Volocity are two of my top three city tracks add in Moonview Highway being better than expected and my favorite GCN track that came to the BCP Daisy Cruiser and 5 has to be the best wave
8. Rome Avanti. Really cool city track but there really aren't a lot of unique areas aside from the collesiem. 7. Daisy Circuit. It's such a happy track even if it's the most simple in this wave. I just really like it's aesthetic. 6. Bowser's Castle 3. I know a lot of people would rank it higher but I find it's layout to be less than great. The real reasons it places higher than daisy circuit are the incredible remix, the dozens of places to trick off of, and the split paths which manage to kind of hide the simplicity of the layout. 5. Rosalina's Ice World. I like the atmosphere, music and the addition of half pipes. My one problem is the ice physics to feel a bit too slippery in some parts, namely the sharp turn in the cave near the end. It's still great though and i always believed it to be one the most underrated mario kart tracks. 4. Madrid Drive. I've heard some people calling this track boring and while I can see that with the many long roads, they're just in-between the mang great sections. The plaza, the stadium, the art gallery, and even the random goombas on the third lap. Name sucks though. 3. Piranha Plant Cove. First of all, I don't care if there is only one active Piranha plant I like the name and I think it fits with the atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere, it was my favorite track in Tour mainly for its unique atmosphere. And I absolutely love this remake for opening more opportunity for gameplay since mario kart tour was very limited. The fact that it's mostly underwater makes for some great shortcuts. 2. Dk Mountain. I'll admit I miss the rough physics but it works in its own way. I actually like that they made the gap jump harder and they even added a new shortcut. And it's just beautiful, with the much larger background and trees spread around. To me, it also has the best lighting of any track in the game. 1. Wii Rainbow Road. Too perfect! I already posted another comment about this track but in short: water physics, scaling, chaos, beautiful. It think wave 4 has been topped.
Wrong. If you look at the internal filenames of the tracks, the slot that Daisy Circuit took was originally assigned to the GCN track of wave 6, which most likely would've been Mushroom Bridge.
I'm just going to give my opinion on each track: Tour Rome Avanti: not a bad remake, but not using the most obvious layout (Lap 1: RA1, ending like RA2, Lap 2: RA2, ending like RA1, Lap 3: the same as in the final game) really worsened it. Also, why do people say the atmosphere is foreboding? It's more calming than anything, to the point where it can send you to sleep until the chain chomps clamp onto the metal. GCN DK Mountain: going in, I was wishing this track wouldn't make it in, as I didn't see the appeal. Now, it definitely see it. Other than half of a shortcut being removed, it's an excellent remake. Wii Daisy Circuit: a good remake, but it's inclusion in the final wave over Piranha Plant Pipeline (even though it replaced a GCN track that I believe was Dino Dino Jungle due to being 6-6) made no sense. Piranha Plant Cove: an excellent remake of this course. It would be clever if this track was counted like a Tour City and Pipeline was the non-city, but all you can tell from this is that I'm salty Pipeline got axed to screw with us all. Tour Madrid Drive: this is a great city track. It truly feels like a grand finale to the game's city tracks (ironically enough, same with Tour). From the Museum to the Football Stadium, this is one city that knows how great the gimmick is. Sadly, it came at the cost of some square feet of the Plaza Mayor and a Wiggler. 3DS Rosalina's Ice World: here's the track that replaced Pipeline. Honestly, though, it's an excellent remake that did the near impossible task of making this track worth existing. The colour scheme having a planet esqe feel, and the half pipes being introduced to 7 retros with this track makes sense as they were a gimmick introduced in Wii, which was the same game and on the same console Rosalina first appeared. Speaking of near impossible tasks... SNES Bowser Castle 3: THIS is a remake. Taking boring SNES track number 14 and making it an elevated, exciting thrill ride was one of the reasons Tour's retros ALL deserve to be preserved (which makes it a shame that 47 of them are stuck on phones), and the Anti-Gravity is a great part of this track. Nothing can top these three tracks. Wii Rainbow Road: I spoke too soon. This is an AMAZING remake. After the last wave butchered two of its retros by either removing their gimmick or making them too cramped, this wave gives us two good remakes, and three back to back improvements. Wii Rainbow Road may be a bit easier in this game, even on 200CC, but that's not a bad thing as the challenge is still here by being the perfect length: narrow, but not too narrow. Also, making it three laps was the perfect way to show how far these developers have came. Form making remakes that forget the point of the original, to remakes that are undoubtedly better than the original. I don't even need to continue my reasoning as you all know why this is great.
im kinda surprised you didnt mention the various parts in rome where you crossover where further behind drivers are. the sections arent the biggest; but it feels more subtantial than other city tracks with that and is the one thing thats stood out to me most while watching videos of it
I was thinking about how it should be thinner to similar to its original GCN incarnation but I get why they didn’t mainly because it would’ve been a lot harder and jankier on 200CC with 11 other players. The track plays fine on both 150 and 200 which I’m super happy about unlike some others which I definitely think are too over-scaled.
at this point I am unsure if I want a new DLC or a new game. the thought of having all favourite courses mainly from ds and Wii in one game is a dream. dry dry ruins, airship and Delfino are three tracks still on my Wishlist.
I also felt kind of disappointed with DK mountain. I grew up playing double dash and I loooved DK mountain so much, it was really hard for me. I just don't like how wide it is now, in DD it felt squished together and the chances of getting hit by the boulders were better. But overall I'm still glad it's back, just miss the squished feeling
I feel like I'm the one person who loves Rome Avanti and is not really a fan of Madrid Drive! Every ranking I saw ranks Madrid over Rome. But that's just how opinions roll
Here's my ranking : 8. Rome Avanti 7. Daisy Circuit 6. Piranha Plant Cove 5. Rosalina's Ice World 4. DK Mountain 3. Madrid Drive 2. Bowser Castle 3 1. Rainbow Road What a crazy adventure we had with the booster course pass, im not disappointed at all! Best dlc ever!
My track ranking: 8. Daisy Circuit: This is probably the weakest track of the wave. I love the sunset and the dash panels around the lighthouse, but it's pretty forgettable. 7. Madrid Drive: This is definitely one of the weaker city tracks. The wigglers in the city square and the goomba shoes in the soccer arena are the only highlights for me. 6. Rome Avanti: I really like the unique enemies in this one. It's cool seeing rocky wrenches and fuzzies in a Mario Kart track. Plus, I tend to prefer city tracks set at night. Other than that, it's an above average city track. 5. Rosalina's Ice World: This track looks and sounds better than ever. I've always loved the icicle cave section, and the added ramp at the end offers more shortcut potential. 4. Piranha Plant Cove: I love the Atlantis vibes, and this one has a lot of enemy variety with thwomps, morays, clams, and piranhas. Each lap feels distinct. My only complaint is the music is subpar. 3. Bowser Castle 3: My goodness, this track got quite the glow-up. This is the best looking SNES remake ever. I really like the metallic ramps and the dry piranhas, and the upward path on the walls is a tricky way to snag some extra items. 2. Wii Rainbow Road: I love all of the boost panels and the cannon plus the two circles, but this track feels more repetitive than the N64 and 3DS versions. 1. DK Mountain: This track has always been one of my favorites, and this new incarnation doesn't disappoint. It looks stunning, and the bridge continues to give me PTSD.
Here’s my ranking: 8. GCN DK Mountain - I love the remake to this track, but i just prefer the others more. 7. Tour Rome Avanti - the routing is a little weird, but still a decent track. 6. Wii Daisy Circuit - Here is where it gets hard to choose, because I love this track, but the other tracks just barely beat it. 5. Tour Madrid Drive - Would’ve preferred for the route to be 3,1,2R but I still love it - it plays well. 4. SNES BC 3 - Banging remix, amazing on 200cc, fun overall. 3. Wii Rainbow Road - My favourite Rainbow Road, I adore this track, but the other two I’m the most attached to. 2. Piranha Plant Cove - The route was actually better than the 1,2,3 we all expected the end of Lap 2 into 3 feels smooth, especially on 200cc, and I’m glad the music got a slight upgrade! It sounds like music to a Mario party board lol 1. 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World - This track means a lot to me. MK7 was my childhood game. My favourite track of all time is Rock Rock Mountain. However, RR 3DS was a close second at the time because I didn’t know the other tracks. Fast forward to Wave 3 of the BCP where my two favourite 3DS tracks were in the game. I had yearned for RIW to return, but by wave 5 I’d lost hope. Wave 6 might not be my favourite wave (Wave 3), but it’s a really, really close second. I understand that I wrote an essay here, but man is this track just magical. Never understood the hate for this track and Wii DC. 💖💙 Nintendo dropped a banger of a wave
Here is my ranking 8th is Daisy Circuit, 7th is Rome Avanti, 6th is Rosalina's ice world, 5th is Piranha Plant Cove , 4th is Madrid Drive, 3rd is DK Mountain, 2nd is Wii Rainbow Road, 1st is SNES Bowser Castle 3
My rant on Rosalina's ice world This was a bottom 5 3ds track for me and the layout is boring however that isn't the reason why it's last. This track stole piranha plant pipelines spot in the bcp. And ppp was my favourite tour nitro track In the game and I was 99.9% certain it will come into the bcp but no Rosalinas ice world robbed it's rightfull place in the dlc. In fact when I played wave 6 for the first time I purposely didn't play riw (short for Rosa's ice world) and if it got picked online I would just leave the room. The only good thing I will give this track is the music but I will never forget the sins that it committed.
Ranking: 1. SNES Bowser Castle 3 (S Tier) 2. Wii Rainbow Road (S Tier) 3. Tour Madrid Drive (A Tier) 4. GCN DK Mountain (A Tier) 5. 3DS Rosalina's Ice World (A Tier) 6. Tour Piranha Plant Cove (A Tier) 7. Tour Rome Avanti (B Tier) 8. Wii Daisy Circuit (F Tier)
@@nintendofan6499 I played Tour right when Rome made its debut, and I was underwhelmed by it. Specially after Athens Dash was the best city course Tour received and before Madrid was really amazing.
it really couldntve colosseum, the 2 circuit tracks, peach beach, and dino dino jungle each have counterparts in the game with the same music rainbow road, mushroom city, and bowser's castle weren't in tour while bridge was in tour, it was pretty much the only double dash track we could've gotten that didn't make it to deluxe. it was just another car track and wasn't very good in tour imo though.
I think acorn could've benefited from Toad's factory and Warios Galleon. Both course could've used anti gravity well abd both are favorites. And i wish GBA bowser castle 4 was in this pack. It had alot of potential even moreso tgan SNES 3. Do you think GBA 4 will be in 9?
"The weakest [Spiny Cup] course was, *unsurprisingly,* Bowser Castle 3" Speak for yourself, it and Wiinbow Road were the highlights of the wave for me lol
Same. I genuinely thought when there were still leaks going around, most saying there’s an snes track coming and it was placed in the acorn cup in certain leaks, that we’d get screwed over and get a Vanilla lake or a flat version of a Bowser’s castle but then suddenly nintendo showed what it actually would be like and seeing it in antigravity and watching them go over the wall section actually made me excited.
@@gmgz Well, we probably could’ve gotten Lakeside Park over Daisy Circuit, but it would have the Sunset Wilds treatment, and fans would start liking that track less. Bowser’s Castle 4 is redundant within the SNES one, and Yoshi Desert probably isn’t worth adding considering we have Sunset Wilds in Wave 5. There are no other Super Circuit tracks that would be suitable for Wave 6.
@@ETHAN-is3li Thinking about it. The only map that could have worked is Yoshi Desert because we already have a Circuit course, Bowser's Castle, and jungle course. I'm hoping Bowser's Castle 4 will finally get remade for Mario Kart 9
8. Wii Daisy Circuit (6/10) - The visuals are overrated. The music is okay, but not great in my opinion. It’s still just a circuit, and not even that difficult, unlike GCN Yoshi Circuit. 7. Tour Rome Avanti (7/10) - Another more simplistic city track concept, but one that work pretty well. It’s a much better version of Paris Promenade in my opinion. 6. 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World (8/10) - Another cool track (pun entirely intended). Not as interesting as GCN Sherbet Land, but a great concept. I can gladly appreciate slip n slide tracks. 5. SNES Bowser’s Castle 3 (8/10) - At least we didn’t have a repeat of Mario Circuit 3 in Wave 2. Overall, I’m mainly impressed on how this track got revamped for an SNES one. Not my favorite Bowser’s Castle though, that’s the one in the base game with a 10/10. 4. Tour Madrid Drive (9/10) - This is no ordinary city track. Nintendo really went that extra mile into bringing this city to life, so there’s more than just racing on roads while admiring buildings and landmarks. You can ACTUALLY go inside some, and this track as a whole is highly impressive. 3. GCN DK Mountain (9/10) - While the rolling rocks downhill gimmick works super well on sharp turns, and the angry volcano warns players ahead of time on this track’s difficulty, there’s not too much more than that. I gotta say, even when the boulders are nowhere’s near you, admittedly you’ll feel the tension of them coming. 2. Wii Rainbow Road (9/10) - As great as Rainbow Roads can be, none are a 10/10 in my book because they all share a similar concept and don’t stand out from each other too much, but they do a little. What I love about them in general is the final and most difficult track in each platform, and this particular is our most memorable example. 1. Piranha Plant Cove (10/10) - From underwater exploration, to brief iconic and appropriate hazards, to venturing undersea ruins and trenches, to relaxing tropical music, to feeling like you’re scuba diving in a literal racing game. This track as a whole sets the bar real high for me.
@@CaptainRillaboomArmenia The theming for Daisy Circuit doesn’t appeal to me as much, and Yoshi Circuit was not only unique as a Yoshi shape, but even more difficult than Daisy Circuit.
@@ETHAN-is3li I don’t think a course just being shaped like a Yoshi makes it unique. The theme is just a circuit behind this. Daisy Circuit has a unique and soothing atmosphere with lovely musique that would almost remind you of cities in Southern France like Marseille or Nice.
@@CaptainRillaboomArmenia Daisy Circuit is overrated in my opinion, and so is the atmosphere. Nothing to complain about, just nothing spectacular in my opinion.
It is almost like they are close for me! I like them all. ----------------- 1) Wii Rainbow Road - Probably my 3rd favorite track in Wii. 2) SNES Bowser Castle 3 - This and Wii Rainbow Road is like 1a and 1b. It is a very good track! I love it! 3) DK Mountain - A very solid remake. I do like the anesthetic of the track. The shortcut is more challenging to preform. I still like it! 4) 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World - It is a track I enjoyed on the 3DS. I was shocked about this track being added. Being able to jump on the ice with the half pipes is a neat way of avoiding the water. The only negative thing I have to say about this track is the camera angle on the large turn at the beginning. 5) Wii Daisy Circuit - The remake of this track looks amazing! I do wish they would have changed this up a little bit like Peach Gardens. 6) Madrid Drive - this is my 3rd favorite city track (behind Athens and Singapore). It is a pretty solid track and the music is great! 7) Piranha Plant Cove - I like this track, but it is a little “boxy.” All the turns are 90° turns. I have it 7th because I like the other tracks better. It is not because it is a bad track. If this track were in wave 1, I would have it as #2. It is because this wave is so good! 8) Rome Avanti - I was expecting a track that was a little better than this. “It is just another city track.” I do not really want to vote this track when I see it unless I see a track like Excitebike. I love wave 6! It is awesome! I got my 3rd favorite track in the Wii (Rainbow Road), and a ton of awesome tracks Just because I have the tracks the tracks so low does not mean I dislike it. The only track out of the whole wave that I am not a fan of is Rome Avanti.
The only sad part about this wave is that they didn't add 96 race Vs. Mode
its sad but who would really use it
@@stonee402 me lol
@@stonee402good point, only streamers prolly for the whole marathon
Bruh who is going to spend almost 5 hours playing Mario Kart in one go lol
I spend 5 hours at a minimum in every session
Second comment now that I finished the video, here’s my ranking of Wave 6:
1st DK Mountain.
Stellar remake and they outdid themselves with this one when they really didn’t have to lol
4th: Wii Rainbow Road.
Love also how adorable non Tour players struggle in these tracks lol
6th: Piranha Plant Cove.
I know mine did
That's definitely gonna happen! A lot of opinions have changed since I first made those lists...
@@AlbertBoris Oh cool! I'm eager to see that! Will you ever make a ranking video involving the original 48 tracks?
Makes sense just to Rank all 96 in one video..
“No! Bertil! I’m sorry!” Got me laughing so hard.
Fun aside, this is my ranking:
Rare footage of Albert Boris actually putting the biggest fan favorite of the game/wave at number 1.
Well, it was super fun, but hey, at least this means we’ll finally get our potential next Mario Kart!
Acorn cup had a little too much hate, as I think Piranha Plant Cove and DK Mountain are better than Rosalina's Ice World and Madrid Drive. These are my rankings based on experience (they are better than most waves tbh):
I would love to see a Sapporo track in a DLC with a Pokémon crossover for 3 reasons:
1-It’s gonna be an ice track, which is always a win in my books
2-It could have a peak remix of "Kimi no Soba De" or "It’ll be fine" which are Dawn’s 2 themes from the Pokémon anime.
3-Since Dawn’s main Pokémon is a Piplup, we may get penguins on this track.
It’s unlikely, but if it happens, I will sure love it.
My list:
8. Daisy Circuit
7. Madrid Drive
6. DK Mountain
5. Wii Rainbow Road
4. Rosalina’s Ice World
3. Piranha Plant Cove
2. Rome Avanti
1. SNES Bowser Castle 3
WHAT WHY IS WII PEAKBOW ROAD SO LOW🥺
It's been an incredible journey!!
What shocked me about this wave is just how good Peachette actually was. Her biker suit was needed and had helped her feel more like a Toadette alt rather than a Peach alt
She’s a wasted character spot that could’ve been King Bob-Omb or something else instead of an alt character
@@johnomalley7211 look I really wanted King Bob-Omb as well. He was my number 1 pick from tour. I’m just making the best out of what we got

Hi Albert. Great video! Kind regards
It's pretty crazy that adding some underwater physics and adjusting the scale slightly made Rainbow Road all that much better. Wii Rainbow Road was never my favorite one but still in my top 4. However it might just be my favorite Rainbow road now! It's fantastic!
8. Wii Daisy Circuit
7. 3DS Rosalina's Ice World
6. Tour Rome Avanti
5. Tour Madrid Drive
4. SNES Bowser Castle 3
3. GCN DK Mountain
2. Piranha Plant Cove
1. Wii Rainbow Road
My ranking would be
8 Madrid Drive:
It's just another city to me, it's more interesting than most others but it's not the best one to me
7 Rome Avanti:
Same as Madrid but I vastly prefer the atmosphere that helps it be on top of Madrid in my opinion despite the lesser variety
6 Piranha Plant Cove
It's pretty cool, it's very pretty, and it's better than Pipeline in my opinion, but it's not the best one between Tour's nitro tracks in 8, 3rd worst behind Sky High Sundae and Merry Mountain
5 Wii Daisy Circuit:
pretty great track with a really beautiful glowup and really nice gameplay overhauls, just doesn't make sense being so late in the DLC but I guess with how much things got stirred, this is where it ended up
3 SNES Bowser's Castle 3:
The visuals, hazzards, elevation and music make this SNES track feel like anything but, it's pretty short but it's amazing how much fun that short time is
2 3DS Rosalina's Ice World
I might be biased because alongside DS, 7 was one of my childhood Mario Kart games, but I think this track was one of the best of that game and the glow up in this game leaves Tour's in the dust
1 Wii Rainbow Road

Yes it has been a long journey. Note: Piranha Plant Cove is actually a tour track that’s why it changes each and every lap.
The Rainbow Road had too many guardrails and wasn't difficult enough.
Facts and it feels cramped
@@Calavera_15the tour version actually is more difficult somehow they managed to make it easier in d8x :z
Like many MK8DX remasters.

This wave is easily the best one yet. Amazing tracks, consistent visuals, banger remixes, and amazing characters. What an amazing end to an amazing DLC.
In terms of ranking, I'd rank them like this:
1. GCN DK Mountain: Has been my favorite track ever since the Wii days and man was this remake amazing
2. Wii Rainbow Road: What an epic remake of the original and a fitting end to the DLC
3. Tour Rome Avanti: Most likely my favorite city track. The routes just feel so good, this should've been in Spiny
4. SNES Bowser Castle 3: Wow a SNES track with good visuals, elevation, and a banger remix? Who would've thought
5. 3DS Rosalina's Ice World: A calm yet chaotic track. Definitely underrated and deserving of a slot
6. Tour Madrid Drive: Good city but the route order is pretty bad. Imo L1 was the best, L2 was easily the worst, and L3 is good but short
7. Wii Daisy Circuit: A simple but fun track. Always have loved this one and its remake is faithful and fun
8. Piranha Plant Cove: Oh boy do I have a lot to say about this one. I never thought I'd say this, but the Tour version of this track is better. I love Cove in Tour, but here it feels so big, long, and some sections just feel empty. Imo the 2nd worst nitro track and a pretty disappointing way to end the nitro selection if you ask me

Like I said, I think this remake is alright.

okey dokey. ranking time!
5. DK Mountain- I agree that the pacing is a bit messed up by the forced break drifting, but i honestly like that it takes some skill to best navigate the track. i'm happy they nerfed the shortcut since it was too OP in the past, and yeah. thats about it. very solid remake imo
1. Madrid Drive- i was noooooot expecting this to be so good in deluxe, but god daaamn they nailed it. when i first played it in tour, i expected it to just be another tour track, but here its just soooo gooooooood. the more i play it the more i feel it encapsulates tour courses as a whole. it's some really well made monuments chained together by a series of roads. the connect-the-dots-ey feeling with madrid really makes me like it already. on top of that, the music also encapsulates the culture of spain, and the remixes went haaaard. visually it's also great everywhere. and the 2 shortcuts completely caught me off guard as well. this is a top 10 track in the game for me and i was not expecting that!!!
overall great wave. personally i thought wave 5 was a little better, but it was really close between the 2 for me
great video! your takes were interesting and well explained! o7 pipeline

Spanish viewer here, Madrid drive sucks for more thab half the race, would rank it 7 of this wave with rome as 6. Best city track still Athens
Wave 3 was probably my favorite.
@@steventomasi5557 good point, it was great! However, 3ds rainbow road is the reason I like wave 3 the best.
Wave 5 is my favorite, even after the Sunset Wilds incident.
4:59 I think Daisy Circuit is there because Wii Maple Treeway was supposed to be there and it got swapped/replaced by Daisy Circuit
Wrong. If you look at the internal filenames of the tracks, the slot that Daisy Circuit took was originally assigned to the GCN track of wave 6, which most likely would've been Mushroom Bridge.
It's just because there's a pattern of Wii tracks being in the 3rd or 4th slot of the cup they're in.
I'm just going to give my opinion on each track:
Tour Rome Avanti: not a bad remake, but not using the most obvious layout (Lap 1: RA1, ending like RA2, Lap 2: RA2, ending like RA1, Lap 3: the same as in the final game) really worsened it.
Kingly, my favoret was ogagnil pirhana plant cove, but the more i Think abuot it, its now Wii rainbow Road.
im kinda surprised you didnt mention the various parts in rome where you crossover where further behind drivers are. the sections arent the biggest; but it feels more subtantial than other city tracks with that and is the one thing thats stood out to me most while watching videos of it
Oh yeah, I didn't even think of that! I think it's pretty neat, definitely handled better than with for other City courses!
I feel like if they made the roads thinner in DK Mountain, it could have been A LOT better.
Madrid at number 2 is wild in my opinion
I also felt kind of disappointed with DK mountain. I grew up playing double dash and I loooved DK mountain so much, it was really hard for me.
I just don't like how wide it is now, in DD it felt squished together and the chances of getting hit by the boulders were better.
But overall I'm still glad it's back, just miss the squished feeling
Finally someone that also think DK Mountain is not that perfect, people really overrate that one a lot
I feel like I'm the one person who loves Rome Avanti and is not really a fan of Madrid Drive! Every ranking I saw ranks Madrid over Rome. But that's just how opinions roll

ITS THE BLUE SHELL CUP
My track ranking:
Mario Party Superstars deserves this same treatment
YES
Here’s my ranking:
It sounds like music to a Mario party board lol
1. 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World - This track means a lot to me. 💖💙
Nintendo dropped a banger of a wave
I think we have some problems
Here is my ranking 8th is Daisy Circuit, 7th is Rome Avanti, 6th is Rosalina's ice world, 5th is Piranha Plant Cove , 4th is Madrid Drive, 3rd is DK Mountain, 2nd is Wii Rainbow Road, 1st is SNES Bowser Castle 3

Now rank the Mario Kart Characters by how many times they’ve been good
I 100% agree with your list
Rosalina’s ice world is kind of a disappointment, pipeline would have been a way better experience
My rant on Rosalina's ice world
This was a bottom 5 3ds track for me and the layout is boring however that isn't the reason why it's last.

GCN should definitely of gotten more than just 3 tracks in this DLC
it really couldntve
colosseum, the 2 circuit tracks, peach beach, and dino dino jungle each have counterparts in the game with the same music
rainbow road, mushroom city, and bowser's castle weren't in tour
while bridge was in tour, it was pretty much the only double dash track we could've gotten that didn't make it to deluxe. it was just another car track and wasn't very good in tour imo though.
Having the same music is a pretty stupid reason to not include certain tracks at least in my opinion

Thankfully the BCP finally ended

I kind of bummed out that this is the only wave that didn't have a GBA remake
SNES Bowser’s Castle 3 makes up for the lack of GBA tracks in Wave 6. We got a different track with a revamp from being flat.
@@ETHAN-is3li Yeah, but I was hoping for a special cup course from Super Circuit to finally get remade outside of Tour.

8. Wii Daisy Circuit (6/10)
- The visuals are overrated. The music is okay, but not great in my opinion. It’s still just a circuit, and not even that difficult, unlike GCN Yoshi Circuit.
7. Tour Rome Avanti (7/10)
- Another more simplistic city track concept, but one that work pretty well. It’s a much better version of Paris Promenade in my opinion.
6. 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World (8/10)
- Another cool track (pun entirely intended). Not as interesting as GCN Sherbet Land, but a great concept. I can gladly appreciate slip n slide tracks.
5. SNES Bowser’s Castle 3 (8/10)
- At least we didn’t have a repeat of Mario Circuit 3 in Wave 2. Overall, I’m mainly impressed on how this track got revamped for an SNES one. Not my favorite Bowser’s Castle though, that’s the one in the base game with a 10/10.
4. Tour Madrid Drive (9/10)
- This is no ordinary city track. Nintendo really went that extra mile into bringing this city to life, so there’s more than just racing on roads while admiring buildings and landmarks. You can ACTUALLY go inside some, and this track as a whole is highly impressive.
3. GCN DK Mountain (9/10)
- While the rolling rocks downhill gimmick works super well on sharp turns, and the angry volcano warns players ahead of time on this track’s difficulty, there’s not too much more than that. I gotta say, even when the boulders are nowhere’s near you, admittedly you’ll feel the tension of them coming.
2. Wii Rainbow Road (9/10)
- As great as Rainbow Roads can be, none are a 10/10 in my book because they all share a similar concept and don’t stand out from each other too much, but they do a little. What I love about them in general is the final and most difficult track in each platform, and this particular is our most memorable example.
1. Piranha Plant Cove (10/10)
- From underwater exploration, to brief iconic and appropriate hazards, to venturing undersea ruins and trenches, to relaxing tropical music, to feeling like you’re scuba diving in a literal racing game. This track as a whole sets the bar real high for me.
Nah, so y’all are saying that the overrated Yoshi Circuit is not just a circuit but that Daisy Circuit is
@@CaptainRillaboomArmenia The theming for Daisy Circuit doesn’t appeal to me as much, and Yoshi Circuit was not only unique as a Yoshi shape, but even more difficult than Daisy Circuit.

-----------------
1) Wii Rainbow Road - Probably my 3rd favorite track in Wii.
