It seems like for ages Super Bell Subway got no love, glad that seems to be changing as it is easily one of the best tracks in the franchise! Flipping love that course.
Personally I feel Wild Woods is hella underappreciated. It’s one of those tracks most people do enjoy and think is good, but forget about it more than most others. For me though it’s in my top 10 for sure
I'm glad someone else loves Cheese Land! It's my favorite course in the game. Everything about it is just so good. The theme, the visuals, the music, the shortcuts, and everything else make it such a fun track.
Big Blue is probably my most favorite because the music is absolutely amazing! But I feel like all the Wii U DLC Tracks were all amazing and had their own challenges! Especially Neo Bowser City’s challenging turns lol
I love Wild Woods so much ❤, in my humble opinion it's the most underrated nitro track in MK8 along with Dolphin Shoals! The stage is beautiful, it's a lot of fun to run through the trees, the turns are fun to do, it's really cool to jump over the leaves in the part with the water, the shortcut at the end is nice and the music... Man the music in this stage deserves more respect!!! Neo Bowser City is great!!! Those who don't like it I truly believe it's because of the difficulty XD but once you learn how to make those turns, it's a delight to go through the stage hehe. One of my favorite tracks from MK7!!! Anyway great video Albert ;D
20:52 Depends on the track. Squeaky-Clean Sprint is my third favorite course of all time, and several remakes that this DLC gave us are some of the best glow-ups I’ve seen in my gaming experience. And city tracks like L.A Laps and Madrid Drive are in my top 20 courses of all time as well.
He, Albert Boris. Something I just came up with is this -- Remember that the NES Excitebike had different color pallettes for some of its tracks? I think it's a missed opportunity that the MK8 variants don't take advantage of this feature. It would help set different versions of the course apart from each other, while still having basically the same theme.
Funnily enough, Neo Bowser City is pretty much the **one** exception where I would point to the NTSC name and actually say I like it better because it sounds less generic (at least for me), and I think 'neo' is such an awesome word which adds to the futuristic visuals without (at least for me) being dystopian. Although I might like that word so much just because I love the track. It's another example of me saying you know a song is good because it was used in Super Nintendo World.
How to fix Excitebike Arena: 1-Make the layout more complex and engaging. If this course was in the Shell Cup, it would be acceptable. But when it’s placed between Yoshi Circuit and Dragon Driftway, this oval layout feels off. I think the layout should be close to a track like Waluigi Stadium. 2-Halfway through the track, we should have an antigravity section that passes above the bleachers with twisty turns and some jumps, to make this track feel a bit more grand. 3-At the end, you jump under the stadium and you get to a "behind the scenes" section. You come out by climbing a road tilted at 90 degrees, then you end the track with a glider. Now the track may feel less like Excitebike, but I think this little sacrifice is worth it because the track is honestly a lot more interesting like that.
For me, one of my favorite Mario Kart courses is easily Ribbon Road. It's my 3rd favorite, just barely being edged out by N64 Rainbow Road- 8 remake, not OG- and Yoshi's Island. Those other 2 are just so magical to me, but Ribbon Road just feels great to play imo.

As a Zelda fan, hearing “a sword” was shocking, because it’s THE Master Sword, I highly recommend to play Zelda really fun franchise. I agree with the placement, but maybe not for the same reasons. Finally some more Cheese Land love. Its sad how much hate desert tracks get, sure they aren't that good visually, but tracks like Cheese Land have a fun and complex layout. I miss when tracks were rated based on how they played, not how they look.
okey dokey ranking time (tracks in my top 10 and wild woods) 1. neo bowser city (yes its the correct way lol). i didn’t like this track until like a year ago and now i don’ know why i ever disliked it. i have a night city track bias, and when paired with a difficult track, rain, the most flawless vibe on a track ever, a few cheeky shortcuts, and a track most people are bad at on 200cc but i took the time to get decent at it, you get what might be my favorite track in the game. 2. dragon driftway- flawless. based off gobblegut from galaxy 2 which is a game that’s always been close to my heart. really cool track design, asian inspiration, really interesting and banger music, and a surprisingly tricky gap cut. this might be a top 3 track in the game for me 3. big blue- just wow. this track still blows me away. interchangeable between 1 through 4 on my list of the whole game honestly. 4. super bell subway- this is like 8 or 9 on my top 10 and this track did not need to go so hard lol. the music is amazing. the vibe is amazing. the concept is so basic yet so well executed. i’ve always loved this track, and i’m happy you put it at 1. 5. wild woods- this ones like #11 or something but i’ll let it slide. this track is just super forgettable and overlooked by most people, but i’ve always thought it was a gem in terms of everything. only mariokart track in 5/8 too which is fun (i pick these online sometimes) 6. cheese land- cheese land. 7. mute city- the detailing on this track is soooo insane, and it just plays super well. executing the shortcut and just gliding down is very satisfying too 8. wario’s gold mine- i get what you said about liveliness being taken away, but i still think the track and concept is a lot of fun. the shy guys are still there too! 9. rainbow road- i just enjoy this one a lot, idk why. great soundtrack (I think these are not bad and do generally enjoy them) 10. ice ice outpost- i really really like the vibe and music of the track. yes youre confined to a split path, but it really feels like you’re driving through a polar research station or something. plus the shortcuts are cool and add some needed difficulty into the track 11. ribbon road- i get why people are gassed up about this track, but I personally don’t enjoy playing it much for whatever reason. plus the music is just unenjoyable imo 12. yoshi circuit- it’s a fun and simplistic yet kinda tricky course. i like the shortcuts a lot, even though they removed the tunnel 13. animal crossing- i completely agree with everything you said about the track lol (Below here i dislike the tracks) 14. hyrule circuit- i am the only person i know who dislikes this track. i’ve never gotten into zelda, so that may be part of it, but the track honestly just feels like another boring circuit course to me. yeah the antigrav shorcut is cool, but it’s faster to just take the turn tight. plus that section is completely flat anyway so 15. baby park- the fact that youre able to see the park now shows how cool the track could’ve been racing in the park instead of on the loop for 7 laps 16. excitebike arena- i actually enjoyed this a lot when i first played it but it just feels bland and unfun whenever it shows up. Bottom 3 track in the game for me damn this is the most effort ive put into a comment in a while, it could be used as a video lmao. great vid btw!
My ranking would look like this: 16. Wario's Gold Mine 15. Ice Ice Outpost 14. Animal Crossing 13. SNES Rainbow Road 12. Yoshi Circuit 11. Hyrule Circuit 10. Super Bell Subway 9. Baby Park 8. Wild Woods 7. Cheese Land 6. Ribbon Road 5. Koopa City 4. Excitebike Arena 3. Dragon Driftway 2. Mute City 1. Big Blue
4:02 Ok, I’m curious. Where did you hear that 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar was initially going to be a retro track in MK8, but ended up getting scrapped? I tried looking around for information on what you said, but couldn’t find anything.
Super Mario Wiki. There’s a track in the older files from the OG MK8 that is named 3DS_SandTown. So it’s likely that this track was Shy Guy Bazaar. This name wouldn’t fit any other MK7 nitro.
In Cheese land in Mario kart 8 I wish they kept the outer space sky and the mice because now I feel like it’s just another desert course Edit: OG cheese land is goated
Why would you put an oval over excite Bike? It's fun each time you race. You even said it has over 200 combinations. I didn't even know that. If there was literally nothing in the background but the sky box, where would you rank Baby Park?
This dude bringing the hot takes with mute city and wario's gold mine. And you never played Zelda!?!?!?! XD My bottom 2 are the horrible dragon stage and neo bowser city since i exclusively play on 200cc with 4 local players
Right now I'm a bit tired to write a full description for each of my rankings, but here's the list with a few brief thoughts: 16 - Ice Ice Outpost - I don't understand how they managed to fix the main problem I have with most ice tracks (the slippery physics) and STILL create the single WORST ice track in the series. 15 - Hyrule Circuit - Definitely deserves to have "circuit" in its name, and I mean that in the most insulting way possible. How on Earth do you manage to make a *Zelda* track feel boring and generic lmao (I like the gimmick with the spin boosts quite a bit though). 14 - Animal Crossing - Charming track dragged down by a lame layout. 13 - 3DS Neo Bowser City - Booooo slippery physics suck booooo (but it gets extra points for being, graphically, the BEST looking course in the entire series; if it didn't have that then Animal Crossing would go above it). 12 - Wild Woods - 11 - GCN Yoshi Circuit - One of the few tracks in the series that I would 100% consider my dislike for it to be a "skill issue" lol. 10 - GCN Baby Park - Aight here's the cutoff between the negative and the positive tracks! A much better remake than DS, but doesn't quite reach the heights of the original for me. 9 - Mute City - I definitely don't like this track as much as I used to, but it's still pretty solid. The music and aesthetics are definitely doing some heavy lifting, but unlike some of other tracks (**cough** Neo Bowser City **cough**) the actual track itself is good. 8 - GBA Cheese Land - If it wasn't for the butchered aesthetics from the original, this honestly could have been a top 3 track in the GAME. Certainly up there as 7 - SNES Rainbow Road - I don't know what it is about this track that's so appealing to me, but this is just one of the most satisfying tracks to drive on in the game! 6 - Dragon Driftway - There's definitely some changes I'd make to it in the visuals department, but besides that this track is excellent! 5 - Excitebike Arena - Yeah my dumb monkey brain just finds pressing the trick button over and over fun and satisfying, sue me 4 - Big Blue - This track absolutely blows Mute City out of the water (pun indented)! Honestly, even if it didn't have my favorite music in the entire game (Booster Course Pass included) I'd still be left with an excellent track with cool visuals and a great layout. 3 - Wii Wario's Gold Mine - I already loved this track in Wii but I think the remake is even better! The aesthetics are excellent and much better than the original, especially the skybox, and I also just think that hitting the spin boosts on the minecarts is more satisfying than trying to avoid them. 2 - Super Bell Subway - Should absolutely be the highest priority track to bring back as a retro course, along with Electrodrome. 1 - GBA Ribbon Road - Literally my favorite retro remake in the entire series.
Glad you looked at Cheese Land for what it is rather than what it isn’t. A lot of people tend to write it off because “desert level bad” while getting stuck up on the thematic changes. Cheese Land isn’t the best track, but I’d never call it a bad track.
My ranking if anyone cares: Big Blue Ribbon Road Wild Woods (soso underrated) Mute City Wario’s Gold Mine Hyrule Circuit Excitebike Arena Yoshi Circuit Baby Park Super Bell Subway Cheese Land (bagging ruins this track) Animal Crossing (gimmick is cool but the layout is horrible) Rainbow Road (SNES) Dragon Driftway Ice Ice Outpost Neo Bowser City
My least favourite is SNES Rainbow Road because IT WAS ALREADY REMADE IN MARIO KART 7! I have no idea why they decided to bring back a retro that they just remade in the previous game especially because they were clearly willing to do a lot with these DLC tracks, like if they had to remake a Rainbow Road why not GCN Rainbow Road? What makes the flat and most boring Rainbow Road worthy of two remakes one after another?
It's also just annoying how it's not the ending of a cup. If they wanted to end the cups with the crossover tracks, WHY WAS A RAINBOW ROAD CHOSEN?!?!?!?
Your takes can sometimes be divisive but fun video all the same!

@@ZombieManF Ice Ice Outpost has much better music and I like racing on an iceberg. The main thing I like is two separate sides of the track as one, making it unique. Otherwise it would be a 7.
My ranking:
16. Excitebike arena
15. Baby park
14. Neo bowser city
13. Wario's gold mine
12. Snes rainbow road
11. Animal crossing
10. Ice ice outpost
9. Mute city
8. Cheese land
7. Yoshi circuit
6. Ribbon road
5. Dragon driftaway
4. Hyrul circuit
3. Wild woods
2. Super bell subway
1. Big blue
Mk64 and DS when the original dlc came out and not a single one of there tracks to remade: 😐😑😐
Finally some more Cheese Land love. Its sad how much hate desert tracks get, sure they aren't that good visually, but tracks like Cheese Land have a fun and complex layout. I miss when tracks were rated based on how they played, not how they look.
finally someone who sees the prefection of super bell subway
2:22
And yet I always felt like there was only 2 or 3.
I would like to see how you would rank all 32 of the courses in Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U aside from the DLC
Ed is singing happy birthday to Jane
ive been sayin for years that super bell is the best track im so glad you agree
okey dokey ranking time
(tracks in my top 10 and wild woods)
1. neo bowser city (yes its the correct way lol). i didn’t like this track until like a year ago and now i don’ know why i ever disliked it. i have a night city track bias, and when paired with a difficult track, rain, the most flawless vibe on a track ever, a few cheeky shortcuts, and a track most people are bad at on 200cc but i took the time to get decent at it, you get what might be my favorite track in the game.
2. dragon driftway- flawless. based off gobblegut from galaxy 2 which is a game that’s always been close to my heart. really cool track design, asian inspiration, really interesting and banger music, and a surprisingly tricky gap cut. this might be a top 3 track in the game for me
3. big blue- just wow. this track still blows me away. interchangeable between 1 through 4 on my list of the whole game honestly.
4. super bell subway- this is like 8 or 9 on my top 10 and this track did not need to go so hard lol. the music is amazing. the vibe is amazing. the concept is so basic yet so well executed. i’ve always loved this track, and i’m happy you put it at 1.
5. wild woods- this ones like #11 or something but i’ll let it slide. this track is just super forgettable and overlooked by most people, but i’ve always thought it was a gem in terms of everything. only mariokart track in 5/8 too which is fun
(i pick these online sometimes)
6. cheese land- cheese land.
7. mute city- the detailing on this track is soooo insane, and it just plays super well. executing the shortcut and just gliding down is very satisfying too
8. wario’s gold mine- i get what you said about liveliness being taken away, but i still think the track and concept is a lot of fun. the shy guys are still there too!
9. rainbow road- i just enjoy this one a lot, idk why. great soundtrack
(I think these are not bad and do generally enjoy them)
10. ice ice outpost- i really really like the vibe and music of the track. yes youre confined to a split path, but it really feels like you’re driving through a polar research station or something. plus the shortcuts are cool and add some needed difficulty into the track
11. ribbon road- i get why people are gassed up about this track, but I personally don’t enjoy playing it much for whatever reason. plus the music is just unenjoyable imo
12. yoshi circuit- it’s a fun and simplistic yet kinda tricky course. i like the shortcuts a lot, even though they removed the tunnel
13. animal crossing- i completely agree with everything you said about the track lol
(Below here i dislike the tracks)
14. hyrule circuit- i am the only person i know who dislikes this track. i’ve never gotten into zelda, so that may be part of it, but the track honestly just feels like another boring circuit course to me. yeah the antigrav shorcut is cool, but it’s faster to just take the turn tight. plus that section is completely flat anyway so
15. baby park- the fact that youre able to see the park now shows how cool the track could’ve been racing in the park instead of on the loop for 7 laps
16. excitebike arena- i actually enjoyed this a lot when i first played it but it just feels bland and unfun whenever it shows up. Bottom 3 track in the game for me
damn this is the most effort ive put into a comment in a while, it could be used as a video lmao. great vid btw!
nice vid mate. are you upset that Boston building still isn't in the game
We got it as a battle course, so it’s close enough.
Agree with you 100% with the F Zero tracks not a big fan of either but # 2 super bell subway and Dragon Driftway #1 for me
My ranking would look like this:
16. Wario's Gold Mine
15. Ice Ice Outpost
14. Animal Crossing
13. SNES Rainbow Road
12. Yoshi Circuit
11. Hyrule Circuit
10. Super Bell Subway
9. Baby Park
8. Wild Woods
7. Cheese Land
6. Ribbon Road
5. Koopa City
4. Excitebike Arena
3. Dragon Driftway
2. Mute City
1. Big Blue
So here is my Ranking:
1. Big Blue
2. Warios Goldmine
3. Mute City
4. Cheese Land
5. Dragon Driftway
6. Ribbon Road
7. Wild Woods
8. Yoshi Circuit
9. Superbell Subway
10. Hyrule Circuit
11. Excitebike Arena
12. Animal Crossing
13. SNES Rainbow Road
14. Neo Bowser City
15. Baby Park
16. Ice Ice Outpost
Ice ice outpost in last!!! That course is great!
14:09 Oh, so you like the Kung-Fu Panda movies too?
Another W Albert Boris video
How are you able to get that increbile view from that perspective at 5:58
Looking forward to the ranking video of all 96.
In Cheese land in Mario kart 8 I wish they kept the outer space sky and the mice because now I feel like it’s just another desert course
Edit: OG cheese land is goated
I'm european too but come on, Neo Bowser City just sounds cooler than just "Koopa" City 👀
remember when Nintendo had passion for dlc even though they wasn't making any money I am done with 8 deluxe
Why would you put an oval over excite Bike? It's fun each time you race. You even said it has over 200 combinations. I didn't even know that. If there was literally nothing in the background but the sky box, where would you rank Baby Park?
“Driving on just a road!”
*Puts Koopa city in top 5*
This dude bringing the hot takes with mute city and wario's gold mine. And you never played Zelda!?!?!?! XD My bottom 2 are the horrible dragon stage and neo bowser city since i exclusively play on 200cc with 4 local players
14:28 Me when I remember that I one considered DS Rainbow Road to be mediocre & my love for it to be nostalgia biased:
Mario Kart fans try not to make a nitpicking complaint: challenge impossible 😂🤣
Right now I'm a bit tired to write a full description for each of my rankings, but here's the list with a few brief thoughts:
16 - Ice Ice Outpost - I don't understand how they managed to fix the main problem I have with most ice tracks (the slippery physics) and STILL create the single WORST ice track in the series.
12 - Wild Woods -
11 - GCN Yoshi Circuit - One of the few tracks in the series that I would 100% consider my dislike for it to be a "skill issue" lol.
Certainly up there as
7 - SNES Rainbow Road - I don't know what it is about this track that's so appealing to me, but this is just one of the most satisfying tracks to drive on in the game!
6 - Dragon Driftway - There's definitely some changes I'd make to it in the visuals department, but besides that this track is excellent!
5 - Excitebike Arena - Yeah my dumb monkey brain just finds pressing the trick button over and over fun and satisfying, sue me
4 - Big Blue - This track absolutely blows Mute City out of the water (pun indented)!
This one was okay in my opinion, I think the Triforce cup was the best one
FR the mk8 dlc neeeeeeds more loveeee
Also what is you’r dlc character ranking??
Cheeseland was one of the most disappointing remakes in the dlc. I guess it is fun, but do jot call it a gba course.
I love Super Bell Subway too!
Glad you looked at Cheese Land for what it is rather than what it isn’t. A lot of people tend to write it off because “desert level bad” while getting stuck up on the thematic changes. Cheese Land isn’t the best track, but I’d never call it a bad track.
As a 200cc player, I can safely say that Koopa City is the worst track in the series by a mile.
Nah Neo Bowser city is Dark and Hard and epic!
I think I speak for many when I say I don't like neo bowser city because of that... *one* *turn* we all know and hate.
My favorites are Animal Crossing and Wild Woods
Wait Shy Guy Bazaar Was scrapped? SOURCE?????
It was, And I don't think we know what replaced it.
@@MooSaysHi what source?
@@LandonEmma IDK, Datamines?
Ice ice outpost should definitely be beneath original rainbow road. Its so lame
My ranking if anyone cares:
Big Blue
Ribbon Road
Wild Woods (soso underrated)
Mute City
Wario’s Gold Mine
Hyrule Circuit
Excitebike Arena
Yoshi Circuit
Baby Park
Super Bell Subway
Cheese Land (bagging ruins this track)
Animal Crossing (gimmick is cool but the layout is horrible)
Rainbow Road (SNES)
Dragon Driftway
Ice Ice Outpost
Neo Bowser City
Hold on?? You have never played a Zelda game.. These DLC courses are by far the best cups in the game..
Albert, you’ve got to try warios goldmine on 200cc, it is really fun!
8:21-8:24 NOOOOOOO, SOMEBODY WAKE ME UP!!!
