Kind Kyttocks i followed ur recipe to the T, but my shortbread is raw in the middle when I take it out of the oven, even tho the top and bottom is perfectly cooked! Where do u think I'm going wrong?
@@MelCupcakeUK Too thick, did you poke holes? or the oven much to hot. Those are my best guesses.

I wish I had found your channel a couple of days ago. I fancied some shortbread, but was relying on my memory and a recipe I found online, which wasn't quite how I remembered. Passable, but not great. Your recipe sounds much nearer my grandmother's version. I look forward to trying it.

I remember my mum making these first in Australia and then in Canada during my youth in the 1950’s/60’s. I live in SoCal now, though I remain true to my heritage and LOVE a good shortbread "bickie" with a cuppa. Could you please convert your recipe into American measuring standards and post?...would very much appreciate that. Ta!
