I get asked all the time what Ford diesel is the best to buy? So I have made a video that gives an overview of what to expect from each of these trucks.
I think I'll take the guy's advice who has 20 years working on powerstrokes than the youtube trolls in this comment section lol.
Thanks for all the honesty and the info. Its a shame that VW is getting in trouble for fibbing on the emissions, yet Ford can sell you a $40-$70k truck designed to fail after 160k miles. Keep up the good work!
7.3 99-03 is hands down the best Powerstroke. Can't kill them, easy to maintain, relatively cheaper parts now (except IDI). I got rid of all the other diesels from our ambulance fleet and only run the 7.3's and the 6.8 gas engines. Also those older bodies sure hold up far better too.

I disagree with you on the extended warranty if you get mercury when you buy the new truck it’s the best one and even Ford likes it
i am a diesel mechanic and this is a brutally honest video but also very true in the statements made my hats off to you for being honest its hard to find an honest shop that will give it to you straight not sugar coat it or blow smoke up someones ass
My '95 7.3 4x4 crewcab has 523,000 on it now and has never been apart. These trucks were freakin' awesome!
My dad gave me his old 7.3 powerstroke and it now has almost 297k miles and still runs strong

You've restored my faith in my 05 6.0. After FICM, HPOP, Dummy plugs, glow plug relay, TFT sensor and a few other "glitches". I shouldn't complain. All minor in comparison to the newer trucks. Great vids! Thanks!
452,432 on a 2003 7.3 and still a freight train
I did so much research on these trucks following your videos, I just pulled the trigger on a 2006 Lariat F250 with extremely low miles that I did a video on. Thank you for the confidence you have given me in the purchase of our new family Rig!!!
I’m not really much of a Ford guy but all of these videos are very informative. There’s always something new to learn in the automotive world.
