When they say they’re “silent zippers”, they don’t mean the zipper itself but the actual pulls. Because it’s paracord with the rubber shrink wrap instead of the metal tabs, it doesn’t have those *cling-clang* sounds you get walking around with other bags. Hella stealth on some Batman shit
I've observed something that made me reconsider buying a Goruck. Goruck promotes and show off physically demanding rucking, but surprisingly, their bags do not provide a way to hang a water bottle. This aspect caught my attention and made me question their design choice.
I enjoy watching EDC videos. Especially someone who is in an urban environment. And I've been eyeing that peak design organizer ever since your video on it. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet...Great video!

Excellent review. I just bought the CamelBak chute based on this review, used your link. Love your reviews, do you think you can do a review on the Knack Knackpack? Interested to see your thoughts on it.
Very nice review and thank you for the links. I also pack as much as possible into my bag as I need to have my things readily available. I love packs and bags and keep switching out.. but keep going back to my package 325. I had been eating this bag and still can't make up my mind.
Evergoods cpl 24 is so similar... Much cheaper and awesome! I picked up a grey on sale... Nice bag dump. That whole setup would be better in the cpl! Mainly because of the front pocket's usefulness...
Hey George- I edc a recycled fire fighter 24 hour pack no molle much better front pocket layout- orange for vis on main pocket and pack interior - but what really sold me was the removable stiff Velcro panel insert Sold separate to allow for modular pocket attachment. I don’t think the build quality is on par with GR but it’s still better than most and way less than GR but for some reason there is no warranty which lame
I actually did some research on them today but I ran into the same problem.. the warranty is non existent and they have a strange return policy.. 🤔 I sent Jake an email to ask to review a bag side by side with the GR1. I'll see if he responds?? See ya ✌🏾
You are the first person I’ve seen say something about the ventilation against the back. Every time I go out rucking, I come back drenched all up and down my back, even through my sweatshirt. Great review! Thanks.
Nice video. I love my GR1 26L, too. I have the 21L also which I bought first. Nice bag, just not big enough for my needs. The 26L is just right. I may wind up getting the Peak Design tech bag based on this video. Thanks. Good job.
pretty sure when they say silent zipper they mean the zipper pull. not the actual zipper. no metal zipper pull clanging together while the bag moves around
Does this have an easily accessible CCW pouch? If not, anybody know a bag that's close to this one that does? Preferably one with a similar laptop compartment?
The Antero has better features.. water bottle holders, back panel, organization pocket and GR1 better build, better shoulder straps and capacity, materials and colors. I like the GR1 a little better.. See ya ✌🏾

They had a few years back, it was a stealth model with no molle, and no patch. I still have mine, and it was made in USA. I am keeping mine, the value goes up for discontinued models that will probably never come back.

Yeah, the fist time I saw the price I said "no way." Then I bought one on a Christmas deal along with Vet discount. It is a bag like no other. It is simple with not the best organization but the quality is what blows away the ones that are pure China.
Too overpriced for me. As a commenter here said, why they didn't extend the number of PALS/MOLLE webbing up a bit more? Also it has no "structural integrity", can't stand on its own. And the padding on the shoulder is just too thin
Nice review and cool bag but can't justify spending $250+ for something so basic. Not very good value for money compared to well known brand such as North Face.

I love this breakdown. You explained things so concisely. Well done.
Ordered the Goruck 25 liter. Goruck has a closeout section on the site now so finally picked one up. Super excited to be getting one finally.

I think we need an updated version now that we're all going back to the office!
I believe the side molle is used for attaching their waist strap which they sell separately on their website. Along with the sternum strap.
I think your right! Thanks for the info! See ya ✌🏾
You can also put a water bottle pocket on the side. I do and it works very well.
