In fact, durable EDCs like GR1 have strong protection capabilities. The packaging carried inside can be divided into thin and light bags. A waterproof bag similar to lightweight hiking. This keeps things properly protected even in the pouring rain
My favorite backpack. I have a 21L Slick, 26L regular, and 26L Carryology Collaboration.

I was deciding between this and the 26L GR2. It was close but decided on the latter for the organisation. Went with it in heritage waxed canvas.
If you want to know what it means for something to be overbuilt, grab yourself one of these.
I did actually have some heritage bags previously, I had a 26L GR1 as well as a 26L GR2 but ended up trading them but they were some extremely well built bags!
you can never say over built on the field which is the purpose for those ones to serve.
