Great review! I live near the Equator. How’s your experience during summer or when it is hot & humid? Do you still recommend GoRuck as an EDC under those climate?
Excellent video I've been on the hunt for a perfect bag... 2 years later would you say this is your favorite backpack? I was torn between this and the evergoods CPL 24 I know very different but that's where I'm at.
Had this been a thicker canvas I would have kept this bag. Ended up selling it unfortunately. I have to admit the shoulder straps have been there most comfortable I've ever felt on any bag.
At 5:17 you made a funny material mix up :D The standard Gorucks are made of 1000D or 500D [Cordura], not G1000 as you said, which is Fjällrävens own fabric.
Nice video. I also have owned a metric fuck ton of backpacks, including the original GR1. I also have a Leica Q2. I recently bought a waxed canvas backpack from a local company called Bradley Mountain and it's probably the most stylish backpack I've ever had, but it is no GR1 in terms of function and comfort. This heritage edition seems like a great balance of all the features which makes the GR1 so legendary and combines it with a bag that will patina with time.
Always enjoy your vids. If you’ve seen a GoRuck vid, then you’ve seen them all! I still watch them, even though I have 4 different versions lol! I appreciate the manner in which you mix talking head with b-roll shots. Makes it conversational. I too have a 21 heritage, but I’m field tan. Love the top pocket! The waxes canvas will break in much faster than a 1000d and the fibers will relax more as well, making it fit just a bit more.
Thanks man, glad you like my videos! I've seen your 21 heritage on instagram and absolutely love the color. I was torn between the field tan and the olive 21 heritage and still sometimes wish I had gone with the tan version instead. Still very happy with the olive one though. Do you ever feel like the fabric loosens up to much and might get saggy over time? Hasn't happened yet, but thats one thing I am not sure about.
@@TobisTings I think it will begin to get a bit floppy. I have a 9yr old Filson tin cloth waxed canvas brief, and it’s very floppy. However, I think putting a stiffer frame sheet in may help. Not a concern for me.
Please don't make me buy things 😄 I've just bought this backpack based on your review. I was looking for a smaller everyday bacpack that can be used as camera bag and GR1 seemed to tick all the boxes. Great video. Thumbs up.
Do friends ask you about the GoRuck? I can’t imagine too many people know about the brand where you are. Also are they surprised when you tell them the price. ?
Excellent video! The camera insert/setup is next level good. And finally a EDC video where the presenter carries a cloth grocery bag! Now the big question for me. Green or Dark Oak? I'm budgeting now.
Whatˋs going on here with GoRuck and Leica Q2 users? After Ben Staleys „whatˋs in my bag“ and his GR1 which pointed me to this company the first time, you are the second Q2 UA-camr praising this backpack - which is crazy expensive to get the hands on to in Europe. Thanks for the video and the review.
haha, don't know about that but I guess I have to check out Ben Staleys video to find out. I have enjoyed my Goruck Rucker since 2018. Hands down one of the best backpacks I ever bought, even though it was expensive. I am a sucker for leather and waxed canvas though, so I just had to get the heritage GR1 when Goruck had it back in stock. Its pricey, but I am using the hell out of it right now. No regrets, couldn't ask for a better backpack :)
Hey, cool video. Tanks :). As i can't justify the price for the GORucks i've tried to find the next closest and it seem to be Tasmanian Tiger Tac Pack 22. Better in weight and capacity. Using internal frame to split the weight. And much cleaner look. Plus more pockets. Still Cordura 700D and YKK all around. So If anyone is looking for an alternative. The Tac Pac is the way to go.
Their prices are steep for sure. I have never tried the Tiger Tac Pack 22, but I have only had good experiences with TT backpacks so I can imagine it works great. I had the Tasmanian Tiger Medic Assault Pack Mk II (larger) for a good while a few years ago. Very similar style and layout to the Goruck but comes with internal Velcro and pouches to organizes your stuff. Great quality as well. Just felt a bit too small despite its capacity of 19L. Great value though and I would recommend it as a Goruck alternative.

Oh boy, i just said i didn't need a bag and here you go tempting me. Great video as always!
Thanks and you're welcome! ;)

I think a professional look paired with a goruck is ok/cool. It’s when one goes 100% tactical that it goes off the deep end (IMHO).

11:52 is this a flex in the edc world? I'm in awe
Great video! Nice to see someone from Europe review this bag
Have you tried the Evergoods backpacks? If yes, what do you think in therms of comfort comparison? Thanks!
The biggest reason i haven’t tried a GR1 is the pricetag, there’s not a chance that i spend that on a daypack.
But great video anyway!
We have very similar taste (Leica and CRK) and thanks to you, just ordered this bag! Great content- keep it up!

Which Bradley mountain bag did you buy? Still like it? Considering the Wilder
@@richardlucascronley5128 I had the wilder and it was very stylish but lacked some practicality. I still have my gr1 heritage

I’m currently deliberating between this and the Nutsac Rucksack. What made you move on to this one?

Great video. It always makes me smile to see a fellow German bag enthusiast and bag reviewer. Keep up the good work
Glad to see another vid from you, dang nice bag & edc I reckon.
Thanks! :)
Still holding up as your EDC?
Great Tobis !! Regards from Freiburg!! (From an Evergoods user)
That is the same thing I notice when I bought mine. Why did they use a thin material?
Love your content man. Also a Q2 user and now subscribed.
Do you new heritages come with the softer updated back that allows better breathability and less abrasion?
No, but its not the 1000D cordura anyway, so its fine.

Any cheaper alternatives? Great Video!
How disappointing to hear the canvas is on the thin side.
I treat my heritage like boo boo. Any idea on how to clean it?
Soap and warm water
is it 0.7 Mechanical Pencil? and what is the brand of the leather case?
Great review. I want one now
Great review! Looks like a good backpack choice.
Thanks! Yes, love it :)
