Be careful I was doing keto and started having issues and my doctor suggested carnivore. I'm a diabetic and my A1C went bad on Keto and worse on carnivore. Gram negative bacteria in the gut feeds on saturated fat, and keto and carnivore have no resistant starch that feeds the good bacteria. My microbiome was destroyed and now I have 2 new autoimmune diseases: autoimmune gastritis and pernicious anemia. I was a bodybuilder with a 5.3 A1C before Keto and carnivore destroyed my body. There is no data for these diets long term, and a lot of bad data from UA-camrs.

I have celiac disease and have been trying to tell people with autoimmune diseases to change their diet!!! Most doctors are quick to prescribe meds...that's how they are trained and taught. I listened to a naturopath and changed my diet. It worked!!! Many doctors think gluten is the only problems with celiac disease, and that's not so. Many foods cause inflammation and trigger the autoimmune flare ups.

My rheumatoid arthritis is in sustained remission with anti inflammatory protocol. I have eliminated all my food intolerances and allergies from my diet.
Everyone reacts to different foods and plant based is not working for me due to fodmaps, lectins etc. Most veggies make me flare. Nightshades, legumes, corn, soy... I am doing great with carnivorous diet without dairy. It doesn't work for everyone.

Have you tried it personally? I have had experience with fasting to aid my weight loss and it has worked wonders when nothing else did.. I was so comfortable with OMAD but lost track of it..
I have started fasting again but anything more than 24 hours makes me so weak..I have tried 36 hours once and it made me dizzy the next day.. I could barely stand up..
I am sticking to 16:8 and OMAD for now as per my cycle but I have heard prolonged fasting especially 3 days is the most helpful in reversing autoimmune condition but I'm too scared to go that far..especially when my family believes that not my autoimmune condition but my fasting is the reason why I get dizzy and lightheaded so often
My rheumatologist has prescribed me a lifelong medicine but I havent started it yet.. I am trying to focus more on fasting, walking and eating somewhat clean.. I still get a bit dizzy or lightheaded while standing up or after walking but I want to stay consistent

I also ride a bicycle for the joy of it as I believe that if your not exercising diet won't be of nearly as much benefit which is actually backed up by science.

I was diagnosed with Lupus 12 years ago and I have been in medication since then.
This year I changed my diet to All Natural Food and No Refined Sugar.
I reduced my salt intake and stopped coffee.
I noticed my body quickly adjusted and I even lost weight gradually, losing 7kg in 8 months without exercises.
I have never been sick this year despite my WBC at a low level because of the medication.
The doctors are telling me to be careful to catch an infection and I told them I never got sick and never felt healthier than ever.
Thanks to God and to good and pure food and right way of living.

I'm glad it worked for her, but....
"Autoimmune diseases are on the rise at an alarming rate in other parts of the world that have taken on our western diet, high animal products, meat, dairy"
Do they think people just started eating meat and dairy recently? 😂 People have been eating those foods for millennia. More anti-meat propaganda. Why casually group together meat, a natural part of our diet for thousands of years, to a potato chip out of a factory? Makes no sense.
Also beef organs (liver, heart, kidney) have far more minerals and nutrients than vegetables, and it's not even close. Go look up the nutrition facts yourself.

Totally AB. I think the biggest benefit is simply in the exclusion of processed and man-made foods, and man-made contaminants like glyphosate, micro plastics, etc. Whether an effective "cure" is found in meat, vegetables, or a combination of the two will certainly depend on the individual, and in large part the individual's tolerance to various plant poisons like lectins, oxalates, phytates, etc, etc. Sourcing of the meat or vegetables may also play a profound role in the result. Farmed fish, feed lot cattle, and chickens raised in boxes eating glyphosate coated corn and soybeans will have a much different profile than animals that are pasture raised on organic grass. Same with organic veg v. stuff sprayed with herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, fertilizers, etc.

I just don’t believe a heavily plant based and especially a grain based diet is helpful long term. I won’t argue with her success but looking at people like Mikhaila Peterson who is 99.9% carnivore, I’ll take a ribeye over a salad all day long. I’m guessing this doctor takes boat loads of supplements where Ms. Peterson doesn’t supplement and is perfectly healthy after suffering much more severe autoimmune issues since childhood.

Long term veganism is not good you are right but it definitely helps inflammation that’s why lupus goes away, once she starts adding cookies, chips, pasta breads they go back having lupus

    • @Sewcial_Mayhem

@@Orangexcounty my concern is she is trading lupus for pre diabetes. Those are terrible carbs. And I absolutely agree with you that long term veganism is detrimental. I personally believe her vegan efforts were not what helped. If she was eating whole, unprocessed foods, that was more likely the key. But long term lack of animal proteins is a manmade choice and not a natural way for humans to eat. This is just my opinion.
