I've been dealing with lupus for 30 years, and my life has completely changed on the carnivore diet. My inflammation is completely gone. However, I am stuck with issues from degenerated joints from too many years of eating omega-6 fatty acids, sugar, and anti-nutrients in plants such as oxalates, lectins, and phytates. I only eat beef and wild caught fish because omega-6 fatty acids are too high in chicken and pork. For anyone out there with auto immune disease, I would look into doing the carnivore diet first for at least 3 months. Then, if you want, start slowly adding in things from the AIP diet.
