Not a mom and not ever planning to be one, but watched this entire video! I so appreciate your logical, science-based take on everything, and how you and your kids are all healthy as vegans ❤ So inspiring! Keep spreading this amazing message!!! And congrats on completing your family!
This 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️❤️❤️❤️
Yesss this! I got sterilized at 26, so none for me. But I love watching this cool family :)
@@mdoublehb4434 It is not abusive to feed your children cooked food.

Welcome back and congratulations on finally completing your family! I hope you have a good recovery and a baby that feeds well and rests welll!

@@UnnaturalVegan You had great mommy milkers even before pregnancy
I don’t care for pregnancies or babies (at all), but I watched every second of this video and loved hearing you talk again. Didn’t realize the withdrawal was real! 😂 Looking forward to your upcoming videos, whatever they’re about ❤️
Same!!!!
Right I thought I was the only one
@stella Mason because they're being brainwashed into thinking families are terrible for the planet. A lot of young vegans I know have sterilized themselves. Very sad.
@stella Mason I’m most certainly not gen Z 😅 Neither was I trying to push an antinatalist agenda, or anything. I simply have no interest in the topics of pregnancies or babies, and have decided not to become a parent myself, but I’m not ‘opposed’ to it. Was just my way of saying that Swayze can make any topic interesting, especially after being away for a while.
As a long time fan and a NICU nurse, I LOVED hearing this, and all of your birth stories! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It’s so important to hear the Momma’s perspective first hand. A super congrats toy you and your family 🥰❤️
Finally, you are back. I really missed you. Congratulations, I hope you have a very good recovery and I wish nothing but the best for your family!
Fun fact relating to what you said about the epidural: Your peripheral nervous system has 2 kind of inputs that it delivers to the brain - nociceptive stimuli which refers to dull, pressure sensations and noxious stimuli which refers to sharp, painful sensations (and temperature sensation). So each of those kinds of stimuli travel differently along the spinal cord to the brain which is how the epidural can just target and block the noxious (painful) stimuli) while maintaining your ability to feel pressure!
Welcome back! And thanks for sharing your story! :)
Eeek! I wasn't expecting to you pop up on my notifications yet. So excited! And happy for you!
Congrats and welcome back! Missed your videos for sure, I have a hard time folding my laundry without your videos in the background!
We are a big vegan family, too! My birth experiences were all really similar to yours... those third babies just walk out. 😂 Baby #3 and #4 for us were both early social smilers. I think all the kids around help them learn faster. Glad everyone is happy and healthy!
I was just thinking about you yesterday. Figured it’d still be awhile. Thanks for the video and Congratulations 🎉🎈
So happy to see you back 😃😃😃 and congratulations 🎊 . Much love from Namibia 🇳🇦
there she is! congratulations!
Congratulations on your newest edition! Well wishes for you and baby!
Congratulations! I'm glad to hear you and baby are doing well. Best wishes for your recovery and the newborn stage.
I have missed youuuuuuu😭 You are my fav vegan youtuber😭😍😍😍 but I absolutely get you need time with your new baby!! So happy for you. ♥much love to you and your family
I ended up with a c section with my last birth, and I also got SO ITCHY. A nurse came in and I was scratching my skin raw, and she was like, oh we have some meds for that! And she gave me something and it helped so much, it was great. Congratulations on baby #3, and yay for a fairly easy delivery!
She s back ! welcome tiny baby n.3 💜🧸Wishing you and youre familly all the best things you can think of...and tons of love .
Congratulations and welcome back! I wonder if going off the anti depressants had anything to do with your extreme exhaustion at the end. Obviously pregnancy alone is exhausting but going off those dang meds can be TOUGH. Hugs, I'm glad that you are happily on the other side now!
Congratulations, and welcome back! I hope you have a smooth and speedy recovery, and my best wishes to baby 3 as well.
Video suggestion: veganism in third-world countries. How to approach the topic when so many live below the poverty line? Is it as much of a moral obligation for them? How does animal agriculture affect those who live in low-income countries? I’d love to hear your take on all of it.
Welcome back and congratulations!!!
I am 6 months along with my last baby and I can't wait to be done too! Congratulations!!!
I started an incredible job and you've uploeaded a new video, this day is blessed
Yay congrats!

Congratulations!! As for video suggestions, I would really like to see a video on adequate sodium intake, maximum recommended daily dose and its relationship with hypertension, morbidity and mortality!
Congratulations on Baby 🍼 enjoyed hearing about your your birth and the week's leading up to it. I always enjoy your content 🌹
So so happy for you and your family! All the love to you FIVE! 🤩 Thanks for sharing! ✨☀️🧡🔆
Felicidades! So happy you are back and all went well!
I love that you were reading Discworld during labour.
The breastfeeding and sleep point. I was informed that it's because breast milk digests quicker so it goes through baby quicker, and then sleep less because they would be hungry sooner.
Congratulations! We had a baby girl 3 months ago and life couldn’t be better. Lots of love
Yay! Congratulations! All the best to you and yours!
Again, I will NEVER tire of your what I eat in a day.
My sister was scheduled for a c-section with her second.
Her second came so quickly they couldn’t even get a pee sample.
She screamed so loud she apologized to the nurses after.
Her body was in such shock she had severe vertigo for a few months. Like stand up and vomit bad.
There was one nurse who didn’t get the memo, and was berating her for not being up out of bed.
I had an unsuccessful ecv and it was more painful than labor. I was bruised all over afterwards. I'm glad you didn't have to go through that! Thank you for sharing your story!
Congrats and glad to hear that you and baby are doing well🧡 And I say yes to another vegan news video - love those😊
Congratulations! Wishing your family the best!
Welcome back I missed you
Congratulations on baby number 3!
Two was enough for me. Birth was horrendous with my last baby. It is not for thr faint of heart. PPD is horrible too.
The epidural blocks pain, not pressure. Your nerves will signal all the damn pressing, yet not the actuarl sheering pain. Its amazing! I felt the nurses pushing and pulling my baby through my stomach yet not painfull at all.
congrats!!! Much love to your whole family!!!
Wonderful! Congratulations to you and your family!
Welcome back Swayze, congrats!
I would love a review about the vegan children nutrition book that you have mentioned on some videos :)
Yes, I second this!!
I got it recently and it's awesome!
what book is that? thank you

Amazing! Congratulatioooons 🎉🎉 good job 👏👏
Thank you for sharing your story!
Welcome back!!! Happy you had a trouble free birth xo
Love hearing your birth story. You’re such a different personality than many who post birth stories. Still amazes me the difference between American and Canadian “standards”, e.g., with a no complications vaginal birth you can go home 4 hours after delivery and you definitely wouldn’t stay two nights.
I doubt they would send someone who had an epidural home after 4hrs though
Nice to to see you!
Yeah, chronic fatigue sucks but the best part is you can lie down all the time and not feel bad, lighten your chore load, and such.
Also, yeah, your kids are definitely in the age where the fascination is with daddy and you are chopped liver. I love this stage. Send him off with my bf. It seems to start as soon as they realize who is willing to roughhouse and who is interested in grosser things.
Basically unless we are cooking, reading, playing cards, or outside to play you could take me or leave me. That's what I want to do anyway. There is a pair of woodpeckers we have been spotting regularly, his favorite and genuinely a joy to see. We both have binoculars, we look in my field guide.
Congratulations, happy it all went well. 🙏
congrats Swayze and Partner 🥰🥰
Welcome back. Congrats on baby, I’ve missed your videos. I had the same issue with my babies as far as them not opening their mouths enough. BF was super painful for me I hated it, I pumped for a couple months but stopped when I went back to work.
I was wondering if it could be a tongue or lip tie...
@@MiriamA766 I had both my babies checked for one and I was told they didn’t have any.
@@amandakitubu4672 ah, I was just guessing as I've read that on the breast feeding group I'm in. Wondering how it'll go for me...
@@MiriamA766 yeah a lot of the times that is the case but idk I guess mine are just lazy.
@@amandakitubu4672 hehe, it happens...
Currently 8 mos pregnant with my first. I’m trying to get pumped for it all. Really hoping to breastfeed but I’m also very annoyed by the pro breastfeed propaganda and all of the promises. It’s definitely cheaper than buying formula and I do believe it has the awesome benefits, but I don’t buy that it promises longer sleep, combats all of the infections known to man, etc etc. with that said I am hoping to breastfeed but im not gonna let everyone shame me for not being able to. I’m finding that people are relentless in trying to give you unsolicited advice, and that definitely brings an unwelcome amount of guilt.
Thank you for the update and sharing! I’m so happy to hear you can deliver babies in lightning speed 😀
Dude, when you said, "not that it matters." I absolutely lost it. Literally laughed aloud.
Congratulations!!
Topic suggestion: Natural Cycles App
Congratulations:)
Just wanted to say one thing it’s totally totally normal when a baby cluster feeds at the start, they are turning on your milk ducts in your breast and telling them how much to produce. To advocate giving a bottle then is bad information as this interferes with milk production. (The first two weeks are vital to turn on milk ducts)
What you do is absolutely up to you, no judgment! But just be careful what you are advising as I imagine there’s lots of potential mothers watching this.. cheers :)
Yes exactly.
"what you do is absolutely up to you! But I'm still gonna give you my opinion, despite the fact you didn't ask for it"
@@DrCoxHugeNews what? like she said, there’s lots of potential mothers that are watching that could benefit from this information. you’re dense
Congratulations, I’m so glad that things went smoothly with your delivery. A video suggestion that I have is talking about service dogs and whether it’s possible to have one within the ethical confines of veganism.
Yes I have very mixed feelings about dogs for the blind it's a tricky subject
My cousin was paralysed after an accident and her service dog has given her her life back in so many ways. He is also much loved and enjoys having a job.
@@katie8325 i’m so glad to hear that. I’m blind and I got my guide dog two months ago and the freedom and greater independence I have to go new places by myself is astounding. I consider myself to be an animal rights add the kit and I’ve gotten some pushback in the community though, I’m interested to see if most vegans share this view or not.
Yay she’s back!
congratulations. and thanks for not being selfish/self-centered
I literally had the exact same situation with the IV, a random nurse screwed up twice and a new nurse came in and did it the first time. I feel like they send in someone who needs to practice and then sends in the one who knows what they are doing.
Welcome back. it's been 18 years since I gave birth, but surprised by how much I could identify with your hospital experience.
Congrats on a safe delivery
So happy for you, take care!
Yay! So happy for you!
Congrats on your new baby 🍼
we missed you! 💚
Congrats on your baby. Just had my second at home for a planned home birth. I was also gbs + but declined abx and did expectant management for my baby. Infection is rare, my water broke 5 minute before she was born and she was born in the tub so her exposure was very low. She was also breech late but my midwife got her transverse and I did spinning babies and got her head down.
I'm so glad you and baby are doing well! 🙂As someone who also takes an ssri, I have been thinking about your experience with mental health meds and pregnancy. Did you have to switch meds to ensure you were on a safe med before pregnancy? What were your withdrawal symptoms like during this pregnancy and after? What have your doctors recommended or not recommended with MH meds during pregnancy and postpartum? Would love to see you discuss this more in depth, especially since I appreciate your honest, no-bs takes about postpartum and pregnancy!
Congrats! I watched a great video on breastfeeding and how the more important thing when bottle feeding is to make sure you switch sides everytime they feed. I forget the video! Yay no more pregnancies!
I always enjoy birth stories 😊 seriously can you share how you find time to work and work out with three little kids? Who looks after your kids while you work etc? Would love to hear the details of how you organise things. I have two kids and can't get anything done 😅
She does have a partner. Also it's a lot to do with how you organise your life. For some it's easier than for others.
Yay! Congratulations for littlest baby
Congratulations Swayze and family! Glad to see you back. 😊
It's not mean to only feed baby colostrum until your milk comes in, a one day old's stomach is only the size of a cherry. So a full feed for them is only about 2 - 5ml.
Welcome back 🙂
I just have to say that breastfeeding can be a good thing, in case anyone is wondering. I nursed my first child for nearly 3 years. I didn’t have latching issues and it was never painful. It was a quiet and peaceful time I got to have with my baby. The first couple months were tough because they were big and needed to nurse frequently. Pumping at work can be annoying, but I think I only did that until they were established on solid food. Try it and see if it’s a fit for you. Again, it can be a very special time with your baby. Unfortunately it’s not a fit for everyone.
When I had my third my 2 year old and 5 year old wanted me home asap, cried for hours every time I called, and when I got home were both obsessed with the baby. My 2 year old still says it's her baby, not mine.
Congratulations! 🎊🎈💐
Congratulations 🎉💙💙
When did you have your baby? I had mine at almost 41 weeks a month ago. It happened sooo quickly!
I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on Metabolic Reds.
Welcome back and congrats!
Video idea, or at least a point of discussion. You mentioned you ate a lot of peanut butter and I noticed Kroger on your big jars. They have a fair amount of hydrogenated oils on them which I have come to believe are bad. You once said you don’t care if you’re eating “natural” peanut butter. You’ve always been well informed by dietitian sources. So what do you know about partially, fully hydrogenated oils and whether or not to be concerned.
I know that Lead Safe Mama says on her website not to eat peanut butter that is in plastic jars, because the peanut butter must be heated in order to be put in the jars, and it heats the plastic, so the plastic gets into the peanut butter. So, you're eating plastic. This is why she recommends that if people eat peanut butter, they get it in glass jars. Hopefully the glass doesn't contain lead/plumbum, a neurotoxin! Also, I heard that valencia peanuts are grown in a drier climate, so they are less likely to have bad mold, which is aflatoxin, which is unhealthy for humans to ingest.
She doesn't care. She gives her children cheap canola oil in added to drinks. She doesn't seem to care about oxidation.
'Considered a chemically refined oil, canola goes through stages - such as bleaching and deodorizing - that involve chemical treatment'
'Several animal studies link canola oil to increased inflammation and oxidative stress.'
'A study in mice found that chronic exposure to a canola-rich diet resulted in significant harm to memory and substantial increases in body weight '
I was really hoping someone was going to address specifically hydrogenated vegetable oil. I mean, if she doesn’t care, fine.
@@deidredeutsche Yes but to deliberately feed it to her kids every day, they don't even know better.. I cant agree with that.
Glad to see someone mentioned aflatoxin and trying to source Valencia peanuts to avoid this. I haven’t been able to as I live in the UK and just can’t stomach the thought of eating peanuts (even organic ones in a glass jar with no added ingredients) that have a mould that has been shown to cause cancer.
Congratulations Swazy!!!!
I also have 3 kids and I am done. Everyone of my pregnancies was high risk and barely made it alive. My oldest son is now 22 yeare old. I have been meat free since 1994
I'm due halloween!!! Congrats! 🧡🧡
Congratulations!
Congratulations!!!
Congrats! Do they do internal exams all through pregnancy in America? I hated them during labour so I can't imagine having them any earlier 😬 I feel like the hospital promotes breastfeeding so much to counteract any negativity mothers get when they're so vulnerable, as it feels like most of the negativity comes from people they know rather than society generally.
Apparently I'm just an awkward sod with IVs and cannulas. My body rejects them after a couple of hours and finding a vein is nearly impossible. My veins are tiny and go off in weird directions.
Since you're looking for video ideas, I'd really love more meal service reviews!
When they put the iv in your arm….and tell you it doesn’t hurt (after they pull the needle out but leave the plastic tube in your arm)….it still hurts with that plastic tube and I hate moving my arm when that is in it. They just don’t seem to understand.
Congratulations 🥳
Congrats!!
I actually had a non dairy cheese from Trader Joe’s that has actually cheese in it. Finished it but was quite a bit disappointed. Maybe products that are advertise as vegan but are not… or what you eat in a day as a mom of 3?
Congratulations 🎉
Congratulations!!! :)
Congrats! I'm the youngest of four and am now just imagining my oldest brother being like yeah whatever I've seen two of these before (and the fact that I was sister #3 prob didn't help) 😅 30 years later he is glad to see me now 🤣
e
they should call the non dairy creamer casein dairy creamer. I’ve also seen on labels that coconut milk contains milk but there is no mention of milk solids or whey or casein.
Re: the breastfeeding and sleeping thing. Breastfeeding is protective against SIDS...because breastfeeding babies constantly wake up overnight and never sleep deeply!
Congrats! 😊
Hey I was scheduled for an ECV, also went in and got alllll ready, and yeah mine was already head down too! Such a waste of resources, they should do the ultrasound first -_-
Woo! 🎉So glad you’re doing well and healthy.
I have an interesting question for you (if you ever do a q&a): I love kimchi, but my local Korean market only sells non-fish oil ones in small plastic jars, while giant bulk portions with fish oil are sold in big plastic jars. I buy the big jars to save plastic and gas. Do you think there are times when the environmental implications of a purchase outweigh animal welfare? Especially when it comes to a trace amount of a trace product, like the fish oil
Is there really only one grocery store near you that sells kimchi? Where I live, many non-Korean grocery stores sell kimchi.
@@moondog7694 there probably are, I haven’t looked, but nothing in that bulk size. It’s literally the size of my torso
