Thanks so much for watching everyone! Hope you enjoyed this mini update on my beloved tree monitors! Basil is making normal progress and is as shy as most tree monitors usually are. I am patiently working with him every few days and pleased with the results I am seeing. I wanted to share the clip of him choosing not to eat in this video because it shows how they can be really shy and that's okay! He ended up eating all those crickets later on when I took the camera away lol. Take care all and see you in tonight's (Feb 2/21) livestream @7:30pmEST or on Friday!
Hey dayyan you should try using fish and crustaceans in your monitors diet these will live in mangroves and scavenge whatever gets beached on the shore
Gorgeous animals! I enjoy watching you interact with them. My most interactive reptile is my Cuban False Chameleon. He waits for me at his door every morning. I may spoil him a bit with lots of hand feeding and watering lol.

My argentine tegu is by far the most interactive reptile I've ever had. He is genuinely excited to hang out with me. It's literally the best part of my day.
I think my most interactive reptile is my California Kingsnake. Cal is not your typical kingsnake that bites everything thinking it's food. He's super mellow and very inquisitive. I walk in the room and he comes up to the front. I'll open his terrarium, and he'll let me give him chin rubs. Love seeing Sabzi and Basil. 😍 They're so beautiful.

Both of our male caiman lizards are extremely interactive, but the slightly smaller one is more "puppy dog tame". The larger one isn't a biter, but he'll take off if he gets spooked by something. The littler one, I can pretty much do anything to and nothing phases him. The only negative is they have extremely sharp claws and they'll only get bigger when the lizards reach 5 feet long. They love to crawl on my arms and shoulders, so I'm using covered in scratches. Small price to pay for such amazing interactions. 🦎👍
I think it's possible that she tore her claws digging crickets out of the upper corners? When she was trying to get them out she's using the hand with the missing claws to do it. ANYWAY, SABZI is SO GORGEOUS. I love watching your videos of her so much~

The most beautiful monitor lizard, possibly the coolest lizard there is. Really hoping to own one or two some time this or next year. Already planning to have a custom 6 feet high terrarium to be build.
My blue tailed monitor lost it’s nails like that as well. I saw him hanging by his nails caught in the screening on the top of the terrarium. The screen is very tight knit and their small nails go in freely but do not come out as easy. My friends chameleon lost some nails in the same way.
To answer your question of the day... my leopard gecko is the animal I can interact with quite a lot but the animal I interact with the most is my baby parrotlet pixel!! He needs and gets almost all of my attention every day and at least 4-6 hours of playtime outside his cage! He’s amazingly tame and cuddly!! And my leopard gecko Nazboo is extremely tame too he gets lots of out of the cage time and lots of play time and loves to explore!!
My ackie monitor George is very interactive. He is a red ackie male and I’ve been taming him for about two years now and we hang out for like an hour a day
My biggest eastern long neck turtle, Ben, swims as fast as he can to come and see me for food, he sometimes does backflips from swimming so high out of the water and fall backwards

The prey thrash she does reminds me of water monitors and how they smash snake heads and necks when they eat snakes.
