May Sabzi and Basil, in their own good time, repay all your care with generations of beautiful, thriving hatchlings. There need to be more of these wonderful animals in the world and you are helping it happen.
That was totally worth the wait. What an amazing end result. Nothing is better than building large environments within your own home. This is what the hobby is all about. The blending of the cork and using it to mask where you connected the branches was brilliant. Well done my friend, well done. ❤
WOW! Ok, I have two 4x2x2 Evolution enclosures from Custom Reptile Habitats. Pictures and video don’t do the size justice so…WOW! Sabzi & Basil’s enclosure(s) is HUGE! I’ve been waiting for this video and it does NOT disappoint! I have tears of happiness for them as I’m watching them in their new digs. Beautiful, just beautiful! 🦎❤️🦎
Thoroughly enjoyed watching from start to finish! You did a superb job, as always. Sabzi and Basil are so blessed to have you looking after them like you do.
That enclosure is magnificent!! I remember when you got sabzi and basil, their journey thus far has been amazing. Mr B has come such a long way which is a testament to your care and effort. I love hearing how excited you get when you discover new behaviors now that they are in a more natural and conducive environment. Thank you for bringing us along on this journey with you 💜
Dayyan, hope you read this but I remember about 4 years ago on the 29th of February, 2020; it was a gecko feeding video. I commented on that video that I noticed an emerald monitor book and asked you about it. Ever since that day, I have been WAITING for this exact video.... Four years later, and you have DELIVERED. I remember when you got Sabz in as a tiny little baby.😭 Haven't been in the best of spaces, but the upload of this video just made me feel so sentimental and nostalgic. It sounds like such a trivial thing, but honestly THANK you Dayyan for your content... Your channel is one of those that helped me keep my passions alive. Can't wait for more Sabzi and Basil content!
Hi Tristan, thank you so much for this thoughtful comment! You are so observant and considerate! I’m sorry that things have been difficult for you lately! For what it’s worth, I know the feeling. It makes me happy to know that my content helps! Thank you so much for your continued support over years! Warm regards
The reward of seeing your animal’s natural behaviors as a result of keeping them in the best possible, most naturalist enclosure is the MOST rewarding part keeping reptiles for me. This enclosure does a great job achieving that. And go Dr. Alex Brown!!!!!
Thanks so much, bro! That means so much coming from YOU! Everyone reading this, if you haven’t already, you absolutely need to checkout and follow Brad’s channel! 🙌🏼
I’m bingeing your enclosure videos in the background while building an ackie enclosure. I’ve always dreamt of having a monitor and now when it’s finally time I’m going all out. It really inspires me to think of all the fun details, watching all your videos ❤
What beautiful new homes you built for Sabzi and Basil!! I'd never be in front of another screen. I'd want to just sit and watch them!! Great job Dayyan!!
Thank you Paul! I’m so appreciative of this beautiful, high quality enclosure! The way my animals behave and interact with their new space is a night/day difference. Thank you for your incredible level of patience and trust in my creative process 🙏🏼! Collaborating with you was such a pleasure! My animals and I are thoroughly enjoying this Custom Reptile Habitat!
You've done such a good job, it looks gorgeous and they are clearly loving and thriving in their new home 😊 I am currently working on a huge 6ft by 6ft by 3ft enclosure for my Ackie Monitor, its been far more work than I anticipated but I truly cannot wait to see him in the new space. Monitors are so deserving of as much space and enrichment we can offer them 💜
Thank you so much! This means a lot! Wow, that'll be such a nice build! Haha, yes these builds always are more work than we expect but its totally worth it!
it makes me so happy to see this enclosure finished, it looks so good!! im also so excited that you fixed the error i see in so many monitor enclosures by making 3 sides completely accessible to them with the cork! congratulations on this huge project being done, i can't wait to see how they grow in, and what you do with those two left over exo terras :)!!
Thank you so much! That really means a lot! I know there will be lots of learning, growing and improvements to ID and make as time goes by and they live in here but that’s the beauty of the hobby! Haha, yes those tanks are going to be repurposed for upgrades for existing pets!
Dayyan, I don't know HOW ya do it, but you keep 'besting' every video you make. I learned a bunch of new stuff...even about your monitors! Hanging upside-down clearly is not uncomfortable for those with a prehensile tail! And doing so in the 'rain' to easily drink is pretty clever, no? What fun the new vid is!!! Thanks for sharing. It WAS worth the wait.
This was totally worth the wait! I found your channel while researching green tree monitors, and seeing this enclosure is so inspiring for how ill eventually set mine up. The divider and tunnel is genius! Can't wait to see when they finally get to meet each other 😊
Thank you so much! I'm so appreciative of your continued support! I'm happy you learned lots (I've been learning lots in practice, myself 😅)! Right?! So fascinating! Can't wait to see what else they'll do next!
You are too kind! I have so much to learn and improve on! I try my best and continue to learn and improve day to day! That’s what it’s all about but I’m touched by your compliment 🙏🏼! Thanks for watching!
Absolutely incredible build collab and animals. Well done 👍 and very cool take on using non supported branches and climbing opportunities in order to force more physicality and muscle development. Very cool!!
The video doesn't show justice to what time and cost this enclosure took to come into fruituon. You did an excellent job and I'm sure they are absolutely loving it 😊❤
There always such an amazing joy when you get to upgrade your reptiles into new enclosures watching them grow and being able to build them beautiful big homes I just truly find it as pure happiness
Amazing way to start my day thank you dayyan, you’ve inspired me so much as not just as a reptile and amphibian keeper but as a person overall, and for that my friend you have my thanks 🙏🏽❤️
I have seen bird's nest plants in the wild and oh boy do they get massive! Like, an adult human could easily sit in the center of some of those Tabacon. If you want to simulate their natural environment even better, you can allow those big funnel shaped leaves to do their job and collect some leaf litter. In the wild the falling leaves from trees will get caught by the big leaves of the tabacon where they form this big compost pile in the center of the air plant. The Tabacon's roots will then grow into the center of that pile to access the nitrogen being released through the decomposition. Thanks for the great video. your lizards look so happy!
Beautiful setups! This is a ‘similar’ journey to what I’m on, upgrading and improving over buying new and chasing that new animal high! That’s not to say I haven’t got plans and ideas, but for the meantime, it’s all about upgrading and improving. Love these setups dude, incredible stuff. Prasinus is my #1 dream species
Had to leave a comment and say this is awesome, you did amazing and I'm so stoked on your two lovely lizards. The vivarium looks amazing, I'm sure it took a ton of hours to get it looking amazing. I'm so excited to see the future of the project!
You know what- I have a corky bark tabebuia tree, which the birds and squirrels love! I started adding logs and branching ramps all around the tree and then the agama lizards came! So I added more! I’m going to add rocks and sand around the base of this lizard playground soon. An agama colony comes and goes from this tree- a large male, 3-4 females and a few tiny babies! It’s great! Then I added logs around the planting beds with occasional vertical logs. The anoles and agamas are everywhere now! Paradise! It’s all in the logs!
Nice enclosure, though I would add much more leaf litter until its a really thick layer and you will have to dig to get to the substrate, it will just as the tropical environment.
This two reptiles are the main reason why I'm following the channel, your first video was the first one you've shooted with Sabzi, and daaaaamn I really want to have one tree monitor tooo... Sad fact: in Italy the law forbids keeping monitors T_T

Not having a drainage layer in a bioactive setup is not recommended but can be done in the right circumstances. However not having a drain in a setup that has a misting system that will spray daily, is probably a mistake. Particularly in a cage with wall panels made of this kind of material. Hopefully you don't but I'm guessing you will have problems with leaking and then mold.
