Who out there when from a supersport to a naked? It's a better life right? If you want to get a free one the CB650R is one of the best of the best, and you can get entered on yammienoob.co for FREE!
Dropped down from an Aprilia RSV4 to a Duke 390 and have have more fun on the Duke then I have in a long time! Little bikes over liter bikes any day.
SUPERMOTO!!
Just bought a street triple rs 2020 xD triggering me not mentioning it though I haven't received it yet waiting on my build slot
I went from naked to faired - I can only really get away with one bike so my Tracer 700 (it’s a bigger, taller MT07 with a fairing, screen and bigger tank - not available in the USA) and when you live in a cold rainy country, that practicality takes precedent. It’s great
Felstriker damn I’d love a striple!
Finally, he's released the Yammie Nudes.
And doesn't mention the god tier street triple rs 2020
So a naked bike is just a Manscape’d sportsbike?

Getting triggered now...no mention of the Street or Speed Triples...
Damn it Yam! Great video though!
This is like the 5th video I thought he'd say at least street trips... Definitely triggered
I'd say the street triple is a sophisticated higher end intermediate bike, speed is balls to the wall but not panigale v4 level balls to the wall. They deserve a mention either way.
Indeed! I own a street and I love it! It is a lovely engine and imo a very good looking bike
I came here just to mention this. Mr triumph here doesn’t even mention the 2 best nakeds. Speed triple is where it at especially the 09 era bug eyes. Ah man I can’t wait to get one this summer
@Justin Voluck nope.
How did the 765 Street Triple not get featured!!!
I was more wondering about the speed triple 1050 honestly
That and the 1290 super Duke
Bad blood over daytona cancellation

There was a Hypermotard in the thumbnail for this vid, but zero 'Tard content. Tonight, we riot!
ya wtf lol
Brad Landers there's enough 'tard content in this comment for all of us my guy
I’ve finally decided that my next bike is going to be an FZ-07. I want a sport bike that can actually comfortably ride for awhile.
Check out xsr 700 first.
Great bike and value for money. Also you can mod the fz-07 really good so u can make it your own.
I started my riding experience with my FZ-07 and I have nothing but great things to say! It's my first bike and i've been riding it for a little over a year and a half now. Looking forward to switching it out later to something like the MT10 :)
Had an MT-07 and was such a great bike, now I'm on the MT-09. Yamaha nailed it with the two!
I still need to ride all 3 Yamaha’s but at the looks of it, you guys loveeeee them 🙏🏾
A video about naked bikes and you didn't even mentioned "The Beast". That's Sad. :(
I started on a Z400 and 100% would recommend it to anyone just starting out. It's got enough power to have fun, can keep up with pretty much anything, and long rides are still comfortable. The only big drawback I ever saw was at highway speeds you really do have to battle the wind. Tucking in helps but a strong enough gust will make you feel like you're at the mercy of the wind.
I've only had cruisers before (up to a 1600), but thinking nakeds are the next thing for me. For maybe a few track days a year, not sure if I should start out on the Z400, or jump into the MT-07 right off the bat.
How was your avg mpg?
@@StudyWithM3E46 a tank used to last me about a week commuting to work. So I'd say roughly 35. I know you can get better mpg if you keep the rpms low and don't push it as hard.
@@TheChillBison hands down the mt07 for the fun factor
@Cameron Croker I thought abt a mt07 but the low end torque scares me 😄.

No way your talking about naked bikes and the Mt07, Z900, or the beloved Street Tripple don't get a shout out or recommendation.
He left out a lot of great practical motorcycles to shoehorn in the wild exotic gorgeous models. Yammie is pretty much motorcycle buzzfeed so it makes sense.
@@outshimed I don't know why people include the Ducati in any list. No one can afford those freaking things. And the people who can already know how great it is.

I just bought the 2020 Kawasaki z900. Cant wait for spring.. specs on this is and price is what got me. I was on a 2017 ktm 390 duke loved it but i need a little more.
Going from a 390 to a 950 is more that "a little more" lol, not that's bad :)

Highly highly recommend the Triumph Street Triple. I’m my opinion one of the best naked bikes you can purchase. For the money you get a lot of bike. I went from the Duke 390 to the Street Triple RS and love the shit out of it.
Nice to hear how is the duke 390? I am thinking of purchasing it for my first bike but confused between the ninja300 r3 and duke390. What do you think?
@@vaishaligujar199 depends on your size. And what look you are going for. If you want to be a sport bike guy get the ninja. But if you want to be a little more comfortable and still have a fun ass bike, get the duke. It will be more fun for longer and prepare you better for your next bike. Only reason to get ninja over the duke is if you specifically want a 'sportbike'
@@freeman8r thanks mate will go for duke
When I bought the Duke 390 I was looking for a naked. I was 285lbs when I started riding it. Lost 40-50lbs since then, but I had no problem hauling me around. I was awesome! I never wanted a “sport” type starter cause I’m not really into super sports. Maybe if I start track riding. I test rode the Kawasaki z400, BMW G 310R, and the Duke 390. I chose the Duke over the BMW (close second) cause it has a snapper throttle which to me helps more with throttle control when you upgrade. I LOVED the 390. I was a blast to ride. Reason I traded it was because I live around a bunch of highways and interstates. At 70+ the bike is at its peak and I wanted more power to be able to pull my self out of situations if one arose. Other than that I absolutely loved riding it. Kinda wish I didn’t trade it in just to have and ride around.
How is the street triple in your opinion after riding the Duke 390? Just wondering as I also started on a KTM Duke 390 but I went to a Yamaha R6 after looking at both naked bikes and supersports, and it is an awesome bike! I was not used to the super sport's aggressive seating position but within a week it felt as comfortable as the duke. What i love about the R6 is being able to tuck in (also the insane power at 14K RPM)
I fully agree!
I got myself a naked bike because of this video!
*totally not sponsored by Yammie Noob ™*
I fell in love with the honda CB series while looking for my second bike. Found a killer deal on a 2011 CB1000R and its so comfortable that it has become my primary/commuter. Its still no slouch compared to modern bikes either
What about the 1290 superduke?
Okay, let's acknowledge the fact that dual-sports are the best class of bikes!
supermotos are the best handling
No..
No SuperDuke on your list?
I went from a Honda Invicta 2015 to a 2020 MT-09 and I feel I'm doing just fine. It's all about understanding physics and how motorcycles work plus studying technique without just pulling the throttle like crazy
Didn't mention Triumph's new Street Triples? Where is the Papa Yam we all know and love?
You forgot the wheelie machine of all times, the KTM 1290 SuperDuke R......That thing is pulling dank nooners wether you like it or not. In 5th gear.

"Naked bikes are THE BEST"....if you live in Yammie Noob territory, where the skies in almost every video are blue & sunny. Where there's such things as "clouds" & "cold weather" fully faired bikes are much better & if you travel long distances at speed you'll regret lacking the wind protection.
I recently picked up a 2016 Yamaha MT-03 with only 3000kms for a dank price, and I love it. I'm an experienced rider but it's my sole mode of transport, so it's super practical but still hoons on mountain roads like nobodies business. The power band is super linear, so theres ample low end torque and still feels great at high revs.
I was looking at getting a Duke 390, which definitely felt a tad faster, but was told by several mechanics that the plastic fuel/oil? pump is prone to fucking out and they see a lot that catastrophically overheat. That could be here-say, but here in Australia, Japanese bikes are definitely cheaper to maintain in general.
I can't recommend the MT-03 highly enough for absolutely any type of rider.
Love to see a grade list of these...have we done that? FZ07 (had) and FZ09 (have) are 2 of my favorites
Is the MT10 next on the list ?😂
swarnam verma actually YES!!!

Looks normal...
Feel like a cycle
Wind blast like a tornado..
Bad stability at high speed
My naked did not get damaged except a few scratches during an accident. A faired one would have damaged a lot worse

Skip the 650s and get a Z900! The power delivery is incredibly smooth, an intermediate rider will be able to control it just fine.

Can’t believe the yammie didn’t include the 1290 super duke 🤦
After many years of having to remove the left fairing (and slider) on my VFR for 2-3 oil & filter changes annually, I finally moved to a naked bike. So much easier to maintain, but much more time consuming to clean. Still, I like it.
One big point regarding naked vs. fairing bikes for lane splitting - While the naked bike itself is usually narrower, the handlebars are usually wider than a sportbike with clip-ons, negating the advantage of the narrower bike. Add to that the fact many naked bike owners install bar end mirrors that stick out even a little further, and you might have a bike too wide to lane split (or filter), not that it’s legal in most US states anyway.
One big advantage to a naked with it’s more upright ergonomics is being able to see around you more easily than in a sportbike crouch. Your more upright torso and head sticking up makes you easier for other motorists to see you, too.
Damn and no Super Duke 1290r......

I rode several naked bikes (Yamaha YBR 125, Honda CB500F and Yamaha MT07),and while they were fun to ride,I'm still more comfortable on cruiser bikes.
As for which naked bikes I like the most,at least when it comes to looks,I'd have to go with modern retro nakeds (like Bonneville T120, R Nine T, CB1100, W800, Z900RS and similar bikes) because they look cool,or older naked bikes from the 90s and 2000s (such as ER5, Hornet 600, SV650, GSX1400 , Monster 620, etc.) because of nostalgia, since I'd often see them riding around town back when I was a kid.
