as always, much to explore here.. only one I have here is the total art of percussion, great one. electric flowers looks like a winner as does the private percussion record. I've also been digging the east euro/Mediterranean sounds, another endless wormhole to explore. good to see you chris.

I figured you had that total art of percussion..nice stuff..oh ya electric flowers and the Christopher tree are definitely up your alley..
Cool you starting to dig that eastern European/Mediterranean stuff alot to explore and definitely a worthy journey..😀..much love chris

Always a pleasure watching your videos. I see that Martinho da vila record all the the time from Brazilian sellers, solid samba stuff. Hermeto is certainly a legend. Musical genius is definitely the right word. I have his debut solo album on US label as well, although its not as beloved as Salve Mass by most folks. It was nice to see a couple records I am familiar with haha. Thanks again for the video I hope you are doing well Chris. Cheers!

Hey brother hope all is good..nice to hear from you..of course I would think of you on the de vila and pascoal 😀..both fantastic records.
I think slaves mass was his only widely distributed lp sadly.
      Such a wonderful musician.
Well glad you recognized a few and enjoyed the video..lol..much love chris

So I watched your video, left comments and I guess I forgot to 'enter' the comments!
I enjoyed this one as it shows some albums a bit less obscure from your norm. "WE" looks really cool, have never heard of it.... Seeing it up on UA-cam so i'll be listening....
I didn't realize Hermento's albums were so scarce over here in the states.
I really like how that Joe Chambers looks-some interesting material and layers. I have solo/leader discs by most of those musicians including Masuo (who I know plays on Rollins recordings into the early 1980's). I'm thinking that I actually saw copies of that album in the record shops in the early 1980's, probably as imports (?)....
Quite a nice range of material here buddy. Great seeing you again-hope all is well with you!

Hey there brother..the we is a trip of that is your kinda thing..😀.
Outside of slaves mass and his first lp on Cobblestone I don't think much of his stuff got any distribution here unfortunately the grupo lp I showed is excellent well worth tracking down.
Well glad you recognized a few..lol.
Not everything has to be exotic 😉.
You would love that chambers there is a cd I am pretty sure.
Hope all is well there too brother.
      Much love chris

@@johncoltrane68 Yes, figures that Chambers is available on CD, but only a Japanese (expensive) one..figures, right? But looking up Chambers it seems in the 2000's he has done some very interesting albums. Great to see a veteran like him still being creative, similar to Jack Dejohnette...

Somehow I've only just seen this video now. So great to see you back Chris. I've added most of these to my list to check out and peruse. The Dobler is on there for sure and "added to cart" for now as I sit out buying for a bit. Most intrigued by Tcherepnin's Electric Flowers, always dig looking into the CRI Imprint. Love your thoughts on the Gonda Sextet, will be seeking that out for sure. Always dig your approach and thoughts on some truly deep LPs. Good to hear from you.

That Luis de Pablo record is indeed quite a trip, thanks for introducing it. I dont own any Hermeto Pascoal vinyls, but just bought one Pedro Santos lp from early 70s, I guess they might be in the same vein. Have you heard of one man project Lamp Of The Universe from New Zealand. Heru named album is very cool meditative Indian style recording.

Nice I like pedro's playing but don't have any of his stuff..but agree he is great.
I have heard of lamp of the universe but never really checked it..I guess I should though by your description 😀..much love chris

@@johncoltrane68 Yes I was indeed very aware of the Singing Dust and I have a copy coming soon. Very lovely ambient jazz indeed. Didn't know about Roundtable but James is connected like nobody's business. This dude has such access to archival stuff it's not funny.
