What a terrific idea!! I wish I had have seen this when I lived in the States. I used to make them the old fashioned way which was an all day affair. Now that I am back in Australia I love being able to go to the local pie shop, and get them any time I want:) Thank you for sharing!
Breville actually sell pie makers too, for two large or four small, can be used with tops or to do quiches without tops. You will need to rethink your seasoning, starting with s&p and worcestershire sauce, if you want to call it aussie. Those other flavours may be good, but though aussie made, are not the classic flavours. The top should be puff pastry. My brother used to put a raw egg in his sanger toaster with the deep dish version. Which only makes 2 at once. My nephew put fun size mars bars in his bun loaf. We used to go camping as kids and make "Jaffles," in a cast iron jaffle iron, with long handles, tucked into the open fire coals. They come in one or two dish styles. My sister used to cook scone dough in them, for dessert.
Every Aussie knows that Meat Pies are always shortcrust base and puff pastry tops. How much gravy and which spices to use for the filling is a personal preference, just like how much Vegemite you like to put on your toast (thick or thin, spread or in dabs). Also, you'd have to be really keen for a pie to muck around so much and likely the crust texture probably comes out wrong. For me, I'd probably still use the mince but just use bread to make toasties. Anyway, it was still a fun and creative idea......
Are you an Australian living in USA? At first you sounded Australian and then I could hear an American twang so couldn't work it out! Anyway, a nice twist on the Aussie pie. I like the idea of the herbs and paprika so will give it a go :)
It's easier and quicker to fold the pastry like a pasty and cook them in the oven, That's a lot of unnecessary fiddling about, I'd end up chucking the sandwich maker out the window....😁
A little pretentious with the jacket and nomenclature. A more casual approach to your video production may gain more views, especially making a meat pie sandwich.

Now we have the Sausage Roll maker. Best of both worlds meat pie sausage roll. Don't forget the. Dead Horse.. Cheers Mate 👍🤤
Are aussie tablespoons larger that US tablespoons? That liked like a good 3-4 tablespoons of bullion. 😅

Works a lot better with bread as intended.
I wish there was an Aussie version of Uncle Roger to roast this offence to all that is Australian.
Sorry mate, they looked very dry to me, more like pommie filling to me. Nice try though.
