Thank you very much Jeremy, despite its old, I've bought the e363 last week and currently steadily learning on how to use it. Usually, I'd use the first option to record my audio, then I record it again using phone to be able to share it. I was also recorded things one by one and combine them manually using Sony Vegas. Now with your tutorial, I've learnt the 3rd and 4th option which I can use to replace the previous two methods that I used. So thank you again for being helpful

there is no option for line 2 digital keyboard - it's just microphone, do you know what the problem is?

OK, so Im a bit lost as I'm a MIDI port, kind of a guy. I'm guessing, from this lesson, that I can't hook either one of these keyboards to other MIDI port keyboards or am I missing something? Also, does Audacity do musical notation like either Cakewalk or Finale? Recording is fine as long as you don't any make mistakes. I have a chance to pick up a Yamaha PSR EW 300 but want to hook it up to my other MIDI keyboards. Is that possible?

1. Is it compatible with FL Studio and Ableton ?
2. Can i also record the keyboard in those softwares as audio and not midi ?
3. Can i record what i play as 'audio' file and not 'midi' with any keayboard that has USB connectivity ?
4. Will the re be any difference regarding the audio quality of the 'Audio' file if i record it via USB output versus a Line level output (Quarter inch or midi) ?
5. Also can you please recommend some keyboard that has line output with quarter inch jack ?

I find that when making a usb connection, using cakewalk software that there's a delay between the time that I hit the keys and when it plays on the computer. And the delay isn't steady. This makes it very difficult to record or even play when it's like that. Is it different with audacity?

I have psr-e353 and this process is only working for midi track, but when I want to do the audio track then it won't come, like the drop down option for changing the input and output.

First record the track/music on your keyboard. Then connect your keyboard to your PC via USB cable. Then just play the recorded track on your keyboard and start recording it with audacity. Then, in the audacity app, you'll have an option to save export it as a mp3 file

I downoaded PSR E343 USB MIDI drivers. It installed correctly, I can choose YAMAHA from ASIO drivers, but there are no inputs to choose from. The I downloaded Steinberg Yamaha USB driver and the same problem.
Can Yamaha PSR E343 play 1 finger chords? Haven't found it in manual..

Jeremy See: Question: I have the Yamaha PSR E423 Keyboard. I am trying to do what you show in this video by recording my keyboard's notes into Audacity. But, it seems that Yamaha no longer supports my keyboard because it is so incredibly old. Is this true? Is there a driver that I can download that will work? Which keyboard would you recommend , The PSR E363 or the Yamaha NP-12 ? The NP 12 has slightly smaller keys but apparently has a better piano sound but also less sounds overall compared to E363 . Thank you
Also is the key clicking sound loud on the E363?
If you use it as a piano, playing piano songs then NP-12 is better. E363 is an arranger keyboard.

Cheaper keyboards will always have a louder key sound. Watch my other videos on the E363 and you decide if it is loud.

Yes, she can play along with a pre-recorded left hand chords.

Hi mr.see, i own a PSR-E353. I've been recording mine's internal sound through the headphone out and into my computer, although I can just play piano VSTis through MIDI connection but the grand piano on the e353 sounds far better to pass up, I just discovered your video on the possibility of recording internal sound through midi, but the yamaha steinberg USB driver doesn't show on my keyboard's downloads page and i saw that the steinberg usb driver can be downloaded from their main software download page. Do you think the driver only supports a selected group? do you have any idea if it could run with mine? thanks so much for the video

Hello Jeremy, nice video. it's really helpful for me learn about recording that connected to personal computer. i want to ask you 1 question about the recorded songs in that 5 slot that you mentioned in this video. whern we record our plays in the keyboard, it become a song in user slot right, the question is, can we copy/send that songs to our Usb Flash Disk? if it can, may you show the tutorial video please?

I managed to get it working as a midi Input device In lmms, but the latency is high, I put it at the minimum in the settings menu of lmms. I think the issue is with the driver, because the device name shows up as "digital keyboard 1" . I also heard how other keyboards have a PC mode switch, is there something like this on the part e363. Thanks.

This was very helpful however can you please pretty please show us how to record multi tracks in Audacity?
