I saw an open box EW300 at Sam's club for 70 dollars. That's the best investment I've made this year. the sound is incredible and it seems easy for a beginner.
This is just superb, been searching for "can i learn to play piano on a midi keyboard?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Penaycer Rudimentary Preponderance - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering how to play the piano easily minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my brother in law got amazing success with it.
Sounds amazing. also nice that pitch bend and modulation can be controlled by an app. still yamaha could have left the pitch bent wheel on the ew300 since the ypg235 had one.
The piano is an acoustic instrument, obviously. Today, digital instruments have reached ridiculous levels of advancement, if that's what you're looking for.
Ok, I just bought the PSR EW 300. But I can’t figure out how to play “Strings” with the left hand, and “piano” on the right hand. The users manual doesn’t go into enough detail on page 17 where it talks about the split point. Any ideas?
How to function split point how much keys you want for your left hand. By hitting the plus button your see on the screen black pointer keys has move. To have split on press it once then hold it the split button it will pop up split voice and volume level setting.
Does this have a tuning option? I’m looking for a keyboard that can play at different frequencies and this seems pretty nice and I just want to know if it has such a feature.
Thank you. I’m actually now considering the Korg EK-50 mainly because of the increased polyphony and newer mode compared to the PSR out now. Even though it’s a shorter keyboard I think it might suffice especially with our limited space. Maybe upgrade in the future to a full 88 keys if I do progress beyond my skills now.
John Brian Silverio Cool. That Korg sounds great too, though it's $350 or so. For me I'm looking for a $200 or so compact digital piano, keyboard, or just a midi controller keyboard to use with an iPad/iPhone software as the sound engine/editor. Still haven't decided. But honestly, the PSR line is getting left in the dust. They just released a new one yesterday-the PSR-E 360. But it's just the same old tech in new colors. And just in general, unless you *need* a workstation or arranger type keyboard like that, it also makes sense to go the midi controller route. A lot of people do that these days. That said, personally I'm leaning toward just getting a Casio CTX700 or 800 arranger style keyboard and forgetting about those other options. It's just nice to have good onboard sounds that can be expanded by software if need be.
Hi my name is gallus I have a Yamaha ew300 and I wanted to know how do you mean new plate I cannot pronounce it right me I mean new plate I guess on my keyboard please help me how to use with the phone I have the USB and I don't know how to use it right please respond as soon as you can thank you very much
At this price point, Casio is beating yamaha in many categories. Casio CTK6200 has 700 sounds that you can edit in the machine(with no app needed). The Casio has a 16+1 track sequencer that you can edit at the song, track, and event level. Casio has USB and SDHC card storage. Yamaha is a fantastic company, but they're having trouble keeping up with the market demands. Casio wins on price and functionality, and the current Casio piano sounds at the same price point sound better than Yamaha. Come on Yamaha...an app just so you can pitch bend and do basic editing? That means you have to have a compatible phone or tablet, and the camera connection kit as well. The Casio WK6600 has 76 keys, in-box editing, capable sequencing 16+1 tracks, microphone input, great effects that you can edit and store for future use. All for $299.99. When was the last time you got an Ipad or Iphone with camera connection kit for $99.99 which is the difference in price between the PSR EW300 and the Casio WK6600? And yes, the Casio includes pitch bend... built in.

Would you have any suggestions,? So far my requests haven't vbeen answered,
Yamaha PSR-E363 and this one is basically the same, only difference is the number of keys. I've been using Yamaha for years now, and I can tell you that Yamaha is was better than Casio. I've started playing on piano on a Casio, but after some time I got my first and second Yamaha keyboard, and they are much better.
Who you listed are all practice piano or just have fun with it. E363 and ew300 are the same sound qaulity just ew has 76 vs 61 for if you want 2 play with 2 people or play song like chopstick. That ctk 800 I check is worser volume control I don't like it's still like the lk230 with cheap quality sound you get voice will be down and also worst you are not good at finding goos keyboard so I will tell you. If your just playing practicing piano as ND have fun playing then ew300
Is there a way to connect this keyboard to a tablet? Or is it ipad only? I have a Lenovo tablet and wanted to practice with headphones on yousician but I just can't do it. Thanks
I know that no one is going to respond but, my psr ew 300 is glitching out. I bought it at a goodwill store for 30 dollars. I've had it for 3 months prior. It is just now glitching out and won't work properly. Anyone know what's going on?

Oh, mine cost 3800 Norwegian krones, but I think that is around like 350 dollars or something😂

Mine cost 200 dollars but my family had a 50 dollar coupon from shopping there a lot or something.
I just figure out how ro program it.
This man sounds like Mr Yamaha was standing off behind the camera aiming a gun at him.
Hilarious!!! And true!!😝
He's using same teleprompter trump uses.🐸

5 years ago, I had no idea what this guy was talking about most of the video, now Im realizing just how much I missed with this keyboard 😢
Got this for my 26 birthday it is to replace my old psr 78 keyboard Happy Birthday to me 🥳!!!!
Sounds amazing. also nice that pitch bend and modulation can be controlled by an app. still yamaha could have left the pitch bent wheel on the ew300 since the ypg235 had one.
I tried a lot of PSR's and the piano's dynamic control & touch sensitivity is MUCH better than my upright piano wtf?!!
The piano is an acoustic instrument, obviously. Today, digital instruments have reached ridiculous levels of advancement, if that's what you're looking for.
What pedal do you recommend for this keyboard? Does it make sense to buy the more expensive FC4A or is it better to get the cheaper FC5?

John Brian Silverio There are a few options depending on what route you're taking. In terms of keyboards

just use an auxiliary cord, and if you have a phone 7 or newer you need an adapter. :)
The end of cord has a special fitting.

How to download sound controller app? For free?
How do you play piano voice???
Is this really the sound of the grand piano? Or you use a studio to get the that sound?
The piano sounds bad when you record it, but it sounds nice when you actually hear it.
