You could record the midi data from your performance in your daw, then send it out to different devices. For instance, you might do a basic performance on one keyboard and then send that performance data out to a range of different synths to find which one sounds best. Basically the data is playing the keyboard for you. You can also use midi control to sync your daw to things like drum machines.
@ hey, thanks for the answer. i learned a lot in the last 4 months, so it is obvious now for me for what that can be used. especially the midi clock out of the DAW is very useful to me.
Hi! If you want to connect two of them each other, you can plug both in and out on both keyboards with two midi cables. If it's to a computer, you can use one midi cable connecting one keyboard midi out to the other keyboard midi in and get a second midi cable out from the second keyboard to an interface midi in.

Hi, may i ask, i have an old Worksation with old round connection Midi in Midi out Mid through. How to connect it best to PC, if i want to use it as MIDI controller?

hi there. I have a question about setup, I'm trying to use gig performer as virtual instrument that is, my casio ctk3500 has a USB port connected to my laptop. How do I send the audio of the keyboard now to the PA system? The audio out of the keyboard is connected to the Soundcraft mixer via instrument cable connected to a DI then the DI is connected to the mixer via XLR. I hope you can help me on this.
Hi there! You pretty much got it. Although, if you want to send audio from gig performer to the PA, you gonna need to connect your laptop (the headphone plug) to a DI then the mixer. Hope this helps.
Oh ok yes you can. Make sure you have a separate output to adjust the volume and you are good. That's how we do at my church we do that and connect it straight to the iPad where we go live with the app called Switcher Studio.
hi goodnight i would like to know how to download different types of keyboards on my laptop and midi the keyboard that i download to my yamaha ypg535 to play different sounds
so I have an Akai Advance keyboard controller, focusrite scarlette 8I6 usb audio interface and macbook pro and a presonus digital mixer 16.4.2. how would I hook it up with my Yamaha Modx and roland fantom 6? Trying to connect everything together.
So one way to connect your Akai controller is with usb straight to your MacBook or midi & out with the Scarlett interface then to your MacBook. Now for the Yamaha and the Roland, it depends what your setup is going to be. If you want to get audio into your MacBook both the interface or the mixer will work the same. If it’s for a PA system you can plug your keyboards and the MacBook to the mixer for flexible mixing.
I can record my mix using MIDI USB? I’ve been searching on web different ways to record the sound of my interface, and I found this (MIDI TO USB) it will work? My interface doesn’t have USB support, only MIDI.
It's not possible to send audio through midi. I'm not familiar with the Kaoss pad but does it come with sounds? If so, you can use those with your Dubler.
@@IkeBeats thanks for the reply. Kaoss pad is a sound processor with xy pad n a very limited looper. It allows you to add delays ,reverbs etc. This way i could put fx on dubler on a hardware instead of twigging everything on the DAW.

Hi, how can i connect to keyboards, my motif xf that has midi+usb. My m audio oxygen that only has usb. I want to play sounds from my main keyboard the motif on the oxygen. The oxygen 61 does not have midi in or out. Can you help me
Hi! Thanks for the question! The only thing I can think of is for you to get a USB-A female to B male adapter, then plug it to plug A and see if that works.
So the Roland ed pc 300 has a usb port to connect it straight to your pc. Check the midi settings in whatever software you use and make sure that the keyboard is checked (activated).

hi buddy im from the philippines just want to ask., i have a CME uf6 midi controller but since they stop releasing it they also stop making drivers for it and it only has midi out it is possible to connect it to the computer DAW again using a midi interface?
So I have a midi comtroller (keyboard) with USB, and midi out/in, and I have an audio interface with midi in/out. Witch connection is better to use in order to avoid issues related to drivers, or OS vs ASIO driver incompabilities, latency and alike. Also, if I do connect my midi keyboard with midi cables to the audio interface, what use is for connection from audio interface OUT -> to midi keyboard IN?
The interface is better to use to avoid those situations. So the MIDI out from your interface is for your keyboard to receive MIDI notes from your computer. Sending back to your controller.
Yes you can. As long as your digital piano has midi out, and audio interface has midi in. Once connected, you can process sound through any available vst plugins and output it to monitors or headsets from your audio interface, or/and do recording in to your daw.
Thank you for your professional explanation!!🙏 I want to ask you if I can connect piano keyboard to PC without needing audio interface! How can I make a beat only (not necessarily audio song) by using computer connected to the piano keyboard by using USB keyboard? Thank you

Nicely done.
I have Yamaha kx88 and kx76, tthis is new to me so what is the best way to connect to these keyboards and how?
Hi! If you want to connect two of them each other, you can plug both in and out on both keyboards with two midi cables. If it's to a computer, you can use one midi cable connecting one keyboard midi out to the other keyboard midi in and get a second midi cable out from the second keyboard to an interface midi in.
I'm not familiar with the keyboard but I can let you know how to set them up.
Hi I have a Yamaha MODX. The usb 2.0 plug that goes to my computer doesn’t work. I downloaded the driver and tested the cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks mike Herbert
Hi! Go to settings on your keyboard, then go to MIDI I/O. Now look at MIDI IN/OUT and make sure it's on USB.
To make this clear, The midi i want doesnt have a MIDI port. Only a USB. Does that mean i dont need a midi to use it on my laptop? for example an online piano game.
Correct. All you need is a USB A to B cable.
@@IkeBeats thanks, you helped alot. Def. Subscribing!
Anytime! 🙏🏻
I can't get my USB cable to work on my Millennium 850 drum kit to record audio in streaming software. obs and stream labs. anny ide i have windows 11 . no drives to downloade Millennium 850 drum
The USB on the 850 is only for midi not audio. You can use Output L/mono and R or Phones to get audio from the module.
@@IkeBeats do i ned baye more things ohhhhh sad ok thx for the answer this drum kit make me porr
Do you have an interface or something to record audio with?
My keyboard is a CST 3000 and i dont know if you need any driver for him. Can you help me?
I’m not sure. The best way to find out is to try it out to see if you get MIDI signal.
Im simply not getting a connection... I have a small key station keyboard that I've simply plugged my Mac book and was able to access and use it with my studio one setup.. I just got a keystaion 49 and Im getting nothing.. im stumped lol you have a video on this setup?

Or an an audio interface?..and yea I downloaded the drivers for this Yamaha...but no input from keyboard still...so my comections are correct because i can use my Casio CDP-135 and it recognizes input from keyboard
Hi, may i ask, i have an old Worksation with old round connection Midi in Midi out Mid through. How to connect it best to PC, if i want to use it as MIDI controller?
Hi there! You’re gonna need to get an midi interface, for an example I have a list of interfaces in the description box so feel free. Any interface with midi connections will do the job.
Hello br can we use usb cable for online meeting. I mean for live programs
Correct me if I'm wrong, you want to plug your interface to the livestream?
@@IkeBeats can we use without interface thank you for replying
So from the house mixer straight to a streaming platform?
@@IkeBeats yes
Oh ok yes you can. Make sure you have a separate output to adjust the volume and you are good. That's how we do at my church we do that and connect it straight to the iPad where we go live with the app called Switcher Studio.
hi goodnight i would like to know how to download different types of keyboards on my laptop and midi the keyboard that i download to my yamaha ypg535 to play different sounds
Hi there. You can check out Mainstage by Apple. That's what I'm using. They have a library of sounds.
so I have an Akai Advance keyboard controller, focusrite scarlette 8I6 usb audio interface and macbook pro and a presonus digital mixer 16.4.2. how would I hook it up with my Yamaha Modx and roland fantom 6? Trying to connect everything together.
So one way to connect your Akai controller is with usb straight to your MacBook or midi & out with the Scarlett interface then to your MacBook.
Now for the Yamaha and the Roland, it depends what your setup is going to be. If you want to get audio into your MacBook both the interface or the mixer will work the same. If it’s for a PA system you can plug your keyboards and the MacBook to the mixer for flexible mixing.
Jak podlaczyc 2 uzradzenia z USB B do PC , chodzi mi o AKAI mp3 i pioneer ddj sb
I can't connect my Roland A-37 to my flstudio please 🥺 any help
Try this. Since your keyboard doesn’t have a usb, it’s the same thing for the midi plugs.

I can record my mix using MIDI USB?
I’ve been searching on web different ways to record the sound of my interface, and I found this (MIDI TO USB) it will work?
My interface doesn’t have USB support, only MIDI.
Is it possible to send audio signal through a midi interface?
I'd like to send audio from Dubler on my laptop to kaoss pad 3. Would that be possible?
It's not possible to send audio through midi. I'm not familiar with the Kaoss pad but does it come with sounds? If so, you can use those with your Dubler.
It's crazy that you brought up the Dubler bc I just discovered it last night!! So cool!!
@@IkeBeats thanks for the reply.
Kaoss pad is a sound processor with xy pad n a very limited looper. It allows you to add delays ,reverbs etc. This way i could put fx on dubler on a hardware instead of twigging everything on the DAW.
@@IkeBeats hahah. We're all connected in some way, therefore we share the ideas😊
Oh ok that's cool! So yeah just the line in of the Kaoss will do the job.
Hi! Hope you can help me. I have a digital piano Yamaha P-115 with USB 2.0 output that i need to connect in an old sound module with 5 pins MIDI ports. Is there an adaptor USB 2.0 to MIDI 5 pins?
Did you fit the slide out drawer for your midi keyboard yourself? If so what one is it… got a link?
And thanks for the vid.
It’s just a separate keyboard stand that I just sneak under the desk and pull it out. 👍🏻
Can i connect two keyboard through midi cable and then one of them through usb midi to a computer and use them both?
Yes you can! Set your second keyboard midi to channel 2 and do the same thing on your computer to channel 2.
So connect your second keyboard from midi out to your main keys midi in then set the channel on the second one.
Ok thanks
Can we connect two keyboards using usb host

Hey man I have an Arturia mk 2 midi keyboard but I also have a Pianoled light that also uses midi how do I connect both of them to my midi keyboard so it can send signals to my computer and my midi LEd Device ?

Hi, i have a mod8x + synthesizer and a psr s670. The psr s670 does not have midi port. How do i connect the two? If i used a midi interface, how do i connect from the interface to the psr s670 @IkeBeats
Not all keyboards have usb or midi...for example the Korg B1 does not have anything but a headphone out
so my keyboard only has a usb a port and ive been trying to figure out how to connect it to a computer
Hmm interesting. Is it for midi or for something else? If it's for midi you can try both usb a ends.
Can someone help me? can yamaha ydp 145/144 send midi to computer? It does have midi to usb port, but im not sure
Yes you can! Just like other pianos.
whats the name of your keyboard, thanks for the info.
I want to use my midi keyboard for sounds but I have just bought 3 hardware synths as well. Would I plug the 3 of them into an audio interface then the midi keyboard into pc with usb? Obviously I need an interface with with lots of midi outputs?
You can daisy chain your hardware synths. You don’t need multiple midi outputs but you do have to have enough audio inputs to hear your synths in your computer.
help i have a roland piano not yamaha.
What Roland piano do you have?
@@IkeBeats do you mean like the number? this is my first time actually owning a piano
Ok. If you look at the back of the piano (where it has all the connections), there should be some big numbers/letters.

how can i connect roland ed pc 300 on windows 10
So the Roland ed pc 300 has a usb port to connect it straight to your pc. Check the midi settings in whatever software you use and make sure that the keyboard is checked (activated).
THANK YOU!
is that also for transfers? so i have pa4x and kronos i mean when i connect both together and change the transfers from pa4x. will transfers also change at kronos?

hi buddy im from the philippines just want to ask., i have a CME uf6 midi controller but since they stop releasing it they also stop making drivers for it and it only has midi out it is possible to connect it to the computer DAW again using a midi interface?
So I have a midi comtroller (keyboard) with USB, and midi out/in, and I have an audio interface with midi in/out. Witch connection is better to use in order to avoid issues related to drivers, or OS vs ASIO driver incompabilities, latency and alike. Also, if I do connect my midi keyboard with midi cables to the audio interface, what use is for connection from audio interface OUT -> to midi keyboard IN?
The interface is better to use to avoid those situations.
So the MIDI out from your interface is for your keyboard to receive MIDI notes from your computer. Sending back to your controller.
useful, thank you
Can you use the 5pin midi to connect a piano to speakers or an interface to bring out sound to speakers via the interface ?
Yes you can. As long as your digital piano has midi out, and audio interface has midi in. Once connected, you can process sound through any available vst plugins and output it to monitors or headsets from your audio interface, or/and do recording in to your daw.
I need work whit 2 controller midi I need 2 interface or only one
If you have midi ports on them and able to change midi channels you'll only need one.
Big help vro
Super sir 🙏
Thank you for your professional explanation!!🙏
I want to ask you if I can connect piano keyboard to PC without needing audio interface!
How can I make a beat only (not necessarily audio song) by using computer connected to the piano keyboard by using USB keyboard?
Thank you
🙏🏻 If your keyboard has a USB port you can connect it straight to you computer without an audio interface.
Thanks
Nice. And how I plug my audio monitors on a mac without audio interface? Is it directly on headphone jacket with a 3.5mm cable?
Correct. If your monitors have L & R plugs you can use a 3.5mm to L & R Cable. That's what I have.
