    Thanks very much for that. I will now be buying a 373 instead of a 363. Just taking up keyboards (at the age of 66) and it looks ideal to me. Looking forward to this new adventure in music.

    Thanks for the informative and concise summary! I ordered a 363 that's arriving today. Musician's Friend was backordered on the 373, and I have a pressing project that just can't wait. :-/ Hopefully, the 363 will be sufficient!

    No change.. everything is same with some additional options in e373. If you attach external speakers to e363 it will sound more better. The extra options are also useless as we are not going to use any. Reason to launch e373 is.. e363 has become famous so there may be chances of coming duplicate 363 models in market. Or slowly the sales may decrease. So company has to keep updating some products. E373 is 1 such products. So they have added some options in 373 to increase sales.👍

    Thanks for your videos, they are very interesting. I have a question. I am looking in buying the psr-e373 instead of the psr-e463 because I really don't need the groove and sampling features. The idea is using the keyboard as a MIDI controller and multichannel sound module with my DAW software. I only want to be sure that the acoustic voices quality is the same in the 373 as in the 463. I am not at all into synth sounds. I don't intend to use the speakers so that's not an issue. What do you think? Thanks from Mike in Quebec, Canada.

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  3 роки тому +2

      Sounds to me like the 373 would be an ideal choice for you. And if you'll only be using classic sounds, I think the effects system really is worthwhile and clearly superior to the effects on the 463. So there's another reason to choose the 373 in this particular instance :)

    Awesome video as always!! May you elaborate on the key bed comparison? You mentioned 373 is greatly improved. I'm just wondering how and in what ways. Are the keys more weighted or textured differently than the 363? thanks as always!!

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  3 роки тому +4

      Hello again, NH - Your question about the keys mentions exactly what the improvements have been! Beautiful surface texture, nice weight, and I always look for a sense of definite "up-ness" and "down-ness" in the keys. I don't like it when keys have the same resistance all the way up and down. Finally (and the 363 had this too, to be fair) you can set the velocity response to match your playing style. I choose a setting that I refer to as "Man playing like a gorilla kneading bread"

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Gracie. If you don't need effects then I wouldn't spend the extra on the EW310. The piano sounds on the EW300 are perfectly fine. Check the second hand market though, you might be able to find a proper 88-key piano with weighted keys for less money than a new PSR-EW300. That's what I'd really recommend if you are just using piano sounds. Good luck on your search!

      If it’s just to be used with a. Computer I’d be more included to look for a controller keyboard as it’ll probably cost less and certainly give you’ve more functionality. If you need the stand-alone option as well though, I really thing the 373 is worth the extra. If you’ve got a bit of extra budget, I’d choose the Casio Ct-x500 over any other them :)

A remark: both keyboards do have an integrated USB digital audio interface, i.e. instead of recording through the headphones socket, you can record digitally through connecting the keyboard to a computer (or iPad) with an USB cable. Very comcenient. And a question: can the sounds which have a timbre variation still be activated through velocity on the E373 as it was possible on the E363 or is it mandatory to use the Articulation button? Thanks.

      It only has a USB socket so it can't connect to oder instruments that have midi sockets UNLESS you use a computer with a MIDI/USB adapter.

      Thank you for inviting me. I do all my talking about keyboards right here on UA-cam. I keep email separate for other aspects of life. Hope you don't mind, it's just easier to stay organized that way :) :)
