Jordan has such a knack for hearing and repeating abstract phrases. There's no way I'd remember how to say happy mothers day in another language without repeating it 30 times, and even then I'd forget it a minute later.

Love this video so much. I think your mother in law would've loved you without you speaking Canto because of you! I know you said it's because of the person she is but also because of your personality. My husband who I've been with for 20yrs only knows food his likes and doesn't speak a word of Canto and my mum loves him and always takes his side no matter what (I'm close to my mum and the eldest). To be honest, my husband never learnt Canto because he never saw me as being different. He sees a Londoner. In fact he says that I'm just me, he doesn't see colour. As for the speaking Canto to a Mandarin speaking mum. I'd say find out what dialect your bf speaks! I know when people have said "knee how" it pisses me right off just as when people try and guess where I from and go through the whole of Asia, it's just rude but then that's just my take. No one can place me and I particularly enjoy saying "East London" when people ask where I'm from 😂😉
