This is the league of legends equivalent of dbz games. And on a side note idk about other consoles but ps5 the dlc goes on sale pretty often so definitely wait and get them all at once
you can now play Sparking Zero, Xenoverse 2, Kakarot, and Fighterz on ps5 I can't think of a single time dragonball ever had that great of a line up on a single system
Even after Sparking Zero, I still find a lot of value in Xenoverse 2 (mainly due to the abundance of stages, more obscure characters, etc.)... and yes, I have all the DLCs except for Chapter 1 of the Future Saga...................... because I've only started the game and wished to have access to characters missing from Sparking as well as more structure beyond simply fighting.
The biggest problem with the game is how much it’s still missing despite how long the game has been out. No SS-Rosè, no legendary super sayian, no customizable auras for cacs outside of conton city. Still missing sayian tails unless you’re wearing an accessory…. And you can only wear one accessory. There hasn’t been a single new race introduced into the game, and All transformations except for the sayian transformations need buffs, stop glazing the game and get real, the game is missing a massive amount of customization and quality of life changes that should’ve been in the game since year one, and to this day is still not in the game. We never even got rage trunks (his rage form during the goku black arc) as a playable character. As much as I love this game I wish people would be more critical of it, it’s supposed to be an mmo experience and yet it lacks most of the basic shit that’s in most mmos and on top of that they haven’t had a real update for the game in a long time all they keep doing is money grubbing releasing half assed DLCs with characters that should’ve been out years ago. Bandais handling of xenoverse has been shameful the game had so much potential, and they ruined it by choosing to squeeze money out of the player base with with tiny content packs that shouldn’t even be considered DLC most if not all of those characters should’ve already been in the game. If they really wanted to make a good game for fans of dragon ball they would’ve focused on the story and gameplay more rather than relying on implementing cut content from the game. A real DLC actually adds more story and typically it’s a few hours long but every xenoverse dlc has basically been putting in maybe 3 new characters and some new PQs. But they don’t care about the fans they only want your money that’s why there’s the bare minimum in xenoverse when you compare it to a lot of other mmos. If im being honest unless some huge quality of life update comes out and adds in everything that the game should’ve already had I wouldn’t recomend xenoverse id just tell you to get sparkling zero.
For official music they have to sell it. Licensing doesn’t allow them to just throw it in game. It’s all different studios that have to be in contact with each other. Rights, legal, royalties, it’s insane with these anime studios. As for the actual audio, that’s different, but the music itself (the good stuff) is never gonna be free
all the modes are nice but the problem is getting any match making when solo even with some popular things for players to do like the later emergency missions for tp farming
i bought the game on sale but actually never played it, gonna try it now since sparking zero came out and actually sparked some interest in the series and started watching the show finally
I re-downloaded the game when the PS5 version dropped just to get the free upgrade. I forgot how fun the game is. I already got 2 characters to lvl 140. Im qorking on my Majin character now.
When it lets me change my characters name I’ll play again. I’d realllllly prefer if they let you change your race but i understand if that’s too complicated to do, but they really need to at least let you change your characters name. Besides that they should make it so all the CAC hair is actually effected by the transformations like super Saiyan, like for example if you have the trunks hair style on your character and go super Saiyan the hair will turn gold but it just stays down the hair doesn’t stand up or change at all. I think they should make that a feature before adding a bunch more transformations just cuz this is something that’s slightly bothered me and all my friends since the game came out

The dual ultimates have been in the game for years. I can't remember exactly when. It may have been 2-3 years in they added that. It think around the time of SSB and hero coloseum.
The game is 100% worth it, but you'll be grinding a LOT. Hopefully, the devs make the new STP Medals alleviate much of the grinding process. Getting to level 140 is a monumental task as it is, and it seems level 199 is gonna be the permanent cap by the end of the Future Sage DLC.
I wish that for the last 3rd of the newest dlc story, had villainous Vegeta kill Frieza in resurrection F, and go on a rampage too spice things up, leading up to tournament of power and ending with goku, then finally tag teaming beerus. Also instead of just one Broly why not both. The second story was the best out of the 3 for me.Why isn't the new Zamasu Goku dlc.
@kevinfightsbears is the DLC transferable? Meaning is it cross platform? I’ve purchased all the DLC currently. Would I need to re-buy all the DLC again if I upgrade to the PS5 version?
I didn't have to have the PS4 version of the game to download my save file to the PS5 version. The game reads the data and ask you if you want to use it for PS5.
As someone who has been playing the game since the beginning I’d say it’s definitely worth getting into. I’m not saying that just because I’m a fan. It’s an old game but there are plenty of updates made to it so you know it’s still people playing it. It may seem a lot to get into but if you start off with the base game then it’s not really complicated; everything else like online lobby or DLC is for when you finished the base game and looking for more content. The game is often on sale, right now it’s 50% off on XBox. The worst case scenario is spending $10 which really isn’t bad.
Yea, but the only problem is the dam services and the broken ass build issues you might face with some players because they rarely update to Nerf the op moves or skills or broken z souls, but it does offer a lot of content especially with dlc addeding even more content to grind. I've been playing since the beta days in 2018 and still in 2024, so if you are a dragon ball, give it a try overall it not perfect, but it has it moments.
Brutal honesty: if you just want to fight Ai go for it. However this game has some of the worst online I have seen, don’t get me wrong when it works, it works. But it only works 1/50 times 💀
Thats probably why I like it. I dont care about playing agaisnt tryhards spamming some OP moves. I like playing agaisnt AI and fact that I Can make my own character.
As someone who finished all of Xenoverse 1 and had a sufficient amount of time with Xenoverse 2, I need to say it isn't worth it what with the pretty much guaranteed incomplete package due to the overwhelming amount of dlc and prices as well as necessity to grind for countless expensive in game items and moves. This is one of if not the most repetitive game I've ever played in my life. I will choose Tenkaichi 2 or 3 any day over this. Unless you're a diehard fan of DBZ that doesn't care if Battle of Z or even Ultimate Tenkaichi or Jump Force sucked (though I like them) then I would say this will not be worth it for you. This is my least recommended game and what I would genuinely classify as a waste of time unless you're asking for it as a diehard because there are much better dbz games out there and unless you didn't know them first for yourself then you might get fooled into loving this game.
@@junior8239 When I first saw the trailers before the 1st one came out I was thinking it was going to be like how Kakarot turned out to be. Instead it felt kinda like a cheap and plastic version of Tenkaichi with RPG elements. I say this because the moves felt stiff and like hitting a barrier over and over again and it felt like a spam fest of special moves was necessary since they were more effective which is what people were known to do more than ever and got used to because of the grind. I also didn't like the look of the character models and felt like they were a downgrade from Raging Blast. I would've taken a Raging Blast 3 instead any day.
Saying this game is incomplete isn’t exactly like considering the game came out right at the beginning of the goku black anime all the most of the dlc is warrented we all wanted the new stuff after seeing it on the anime
@@snow6644 Not worth it and likely incomplete meaning in 2024 as a response to the title of the video, but even as literally how difficult it is to obtain all the dlc now. Also... when Xenoverse 2 came out it was basically a rehash of 1 with some minor additions for the most part. If I'm not mistaken there wasn't much content to differentiate itself and it was mostly treading on old ground as if it was a standalone expansion. I remember working towards the new content and asking myself "why does this feel like the same stuff, and why does it feel like I have to fish for new content" That game needed dlc and now that it has it, it's overwhelming and not easy to obtain. On top of that it's being milked soo hard it hurts.
You forget about the aspect you can create your own character. I see your points but no other dragonball game lets you create your dragonball avatar in the way xenoverse does. If thats something you love, xenoverse is your game. Thats what brings me back everytime.

(i've been away from the game for years). Also, they should really add crossplay from PS4/5 and Xbox (not pc because of cheaters/modders)
It 1000% is, although you’ll definitely have to buy dlc for the best experience but if you’re smart you can almost always get dlc packs for half the price with sales
So I starting playing xenoverse 2 (never played 1) and I've gotta say, holy fuck have I missed out. Sparking zero is fun and all but very bland. Yes you got basically the whole roster to fight with but you are the same old same old. But xenoverse... Might just be because I'm new but the amount of content to play and powers and story's plus the online makes it worth far more the sparking zero.

This was an amazing video and a welcome surprise!! Thanks so much dude for all your hard work and great content :)
It's just so expensive if you want all the dlc's with it
all the modes are nice but the problem is getting any match making when solo even with some popular things for players to do like the later emergency missions for tp farming
Personally, I was never very engaged when I tried playing xv2. Could never really put my finger on why but I simply bounced off.
Definitely making a return buying all the dlc and starting the story from scratch
Absolutely worth it
It's Soo great on PC
The modding scene is pretty damn good too
Closest thing to Sparking Zero that ill have unless they port it to switch
i bought the game on sale but actually never played it, gonna try it now since sparking zero came out and actually sparked some interest in the series and started watching the show finally
I re-downloaded the game when the PS5 version dropped just to get the free upgrade. I forgot how fun the game is. I already got 2 characters to lvl 140. Im qorking on my Majin character now.
I used to play it and mastered it, but then Kakarot came out, got used to the simpler controls and now I'm lazy to relearn xenoverse.
Currently reading through the DBZ manga before playing these games.
I think they should make that a feature before adding a bunch more transformations just cuz this is something that’s slightly bothered me and all my friends since the game came out
Man I love this game but we have to move on to 3. The game is is now JANK personified.
I don’t have PlayStation online and it seems really boring on my first impressions of playing 😢
Can we play with 2 players ? Like 2 controllers 1v1 ?
It would be if I could actualy play, getting nothing but errors the last few days.
Love DBZ but these games always felt like a mountain to climb. Not for me
Is it worth it if you don’t get any of the dlc? Serious question
Not really, there’s barely any content after the story mode
@@bobby_ironman Wrong, there's masters to train with and unlock different skills, theres over a 100 Parallel Quests in the base game, there's also Time Rifts and Expert Missions as well. Plenty to do in the base game
Well it's fun however the best stuff comes from the dlc's honestly
@@GhostNishikiThis. I sometimes believe that those who say that X2 has little content just didn’t finish the game.
@@GhostNishikisorry, I should have been more specific and said there there is barely any non-repetive content after the story mode, everything you listed is repetitive and becomes boring after a single run, the only thing left after the story is just a meaningless grind
i love this game and i still have it tell this day 👍!
it depends on the person I still play this 8 years later and still very popular and i have 2,229 hours.yeah i played it a lot now 1 to 3 times i play it a week for 3 hours max.
I thank you for making this videos you are a cool honest person 😎
Your one of the devs if so thank you for keeping the game alive
The dual ultimates have been in the game for years. I can't remember exactly when. It may have been 2-3 years in they added that. It think around the time of SSB and hero coloseum.
great game for dragon ball fans in the meantime while we wait for sparking zero
Xenoverse 2 will always be worth it for its fans. I frequently go back to it starting from zero again
They need to bundle all the dlc together now for a better price
The game is 100% worth it, but you'll be grinding a LOT. Hopefully, the devs make the new STP Medals alleviate much of the grinding process. Getting to level 140 is a monumental task as it is, and it seems level 199 is gonna be the permanent cap by the end of the Future Sage DLC.
Lvl What?! Since when ?!
Matty!? you have a second channel 😮😮❤
wowwww a smiteee shout out! nice
Haven't played in 5 years and I'm lost ASF.. just running around learning moves🤣🤣
If you actually buy the physical version of the game on PS5 does it have all the dlc downloaded on it?
At the very least it should have some of the dlc's on the disc. Still aint had any comfirmation on it though
No, you still have to buy the dlc's from the store
Wow....thats bullshit@@kevinfightsbears
@kevinfightsbears is the DLC transferable? Meaning is it cross platform? I’ve purchased all the DLC currently. Would I need to re-buy all the DLC again if I upgrade to the PS5 version?
@@spenserbeckerszsI think they'll transfer
Christ bless you, I'm close to getting it ngl
This is one of the few Games that almost has all Characters beside Sparking Zero
One of the only good anime games so definitely. You can’t be too picky. I wish people weren’t so scared of pvp tho
Its still printing DLC. Its the only Dragon Ball game that is worth it.
Was thinking of getting the base game on PS5 after playing Sparking Zero. Is it still good without PS Plus?
I mean they did say they wanted Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 to last longer than the first game.
I played xenoverse 2 this year it was fun and very interesting in my opinion.
The worst case scenario is spending $10 which really isn’t bad.
is it still worth to play on Steam? i used to play it when it first released on ps4 and want to play it again but on steam
I just downloaded last night! I'm hooked! I'm a Frieza Race main! What's your favorite race!?
Little boo girl ❤️
Brutal honesty: if you just want to fight Ai go for it. However this game has some of the worst online I have seen, don’t get me wrong when it works, it works. But it only works 1/50 times 💀
Thats probably why I like it. I dont care about playing agaisnt tryhards spamming some OP moves. I like playing agaisnt AI and fact that I Can make my own character.
I completed it, overall it was good but I really dislike the art style, kakarot and sparking zero look 100x better
Thank you I'm going to play it didn't know it had a ps5 upgrade
I genuinely don’t know how people still enjoy this game. To each their own I suppose.
Heads up the PlayStation servers are currently broken and can’t be used at the very moment so if you plan on playing wait a few more weeks until the servers are back up
Never mind they are back up
I'm still going to wait for Xenoverse 3 lmao, but i appreciate the video :) i'm on pc currently, but i feel like the game is kinda dead on this platform? do you think i should buy it on ps5 and redo everything?
If you haven't played it at all then yeah but if you have then maybe not bother worrying about it.
I played a few seconds of it and then I deleted it and I probably won’t ever touch this game ever in my lifetime but I will be touching that new Dragon Ball game that’s coming out.
Man i still find this game fun im not great at it so i get bullied online when i choose to play it but the game is great even though to get the full game your gonna have to drop a pretty penny for all the dlc
The PVE is amazing with friends
It's great but it sucks for new players cause they have to buy all dlc's and unlock all the skills and costumes on their own 😂
Is it worth it getting it for switch? I just catched up a good offer in nintendo eshop and i have enough to buy it
The game released when I was 22, now I'm fucking 30 lol, i'm getting way too old for this franchise (and so are all of you) but im still sticking around to see if we get SSJ4😂
Does it comes with all the dlc that was released on the old systems ?
Thought this guy was Game Grumps for a minute with that thumbnail character Lol
STP Medals: Allow us to introduce ourselves and ruin our game.
This game is 7 years old but at the public library they have it and it said 2024. I play offline. Still worth it or am i missing out by not playing online?
Damn time to buy all the dlc on sale and get cookin
Simple it's worth it especially if you are a deagon ball fan.
Is there any difference between ps4 and ps5 versions?
No
This game is like a MMO Budokai 3
Horrible comparison
@@rein3417 Not really, they are two different games from different times. I like both equally!
