Hey, on the topic of the wanting the cutscenes to have different music I've actually edited all but one (Didn't feel it needed any changes), Stuff that I fixed were - changing and or removing certain lines the dub added that make no sense, don't need, or didn't match what the original japanese scene entailed (i.e Vegitos iconic ALRIGHT, dub made it a dull "alright now" so I've replaced it with the proper line and cadence from his FighterZ line) - Making the lines being said match the characters lips more closely (They didn't try to match them, they just slapped the dub voicelines where the jp ones were and called it a day) - and obviously changed music, to fit the moments more appropriately mostly taking inspiration from Teamfourstars DBZA but if you like the falconer score you'll like my ssj3 cutscene - and SFX, in the cases where I've replaced the music I have had to replace the SFX from scratch because the audio track for SFX and music are one in the same. So while doing so I took the liberty of improving certain SFX or adding SFX that should have been present (i.e Goku going ssj2 but the sfx of lightning isn't present) heres a playlist of all my cutscenes, link to download them will be ink the description leading you to Nexusmods :) ua-cam.com/play/PL14DL6C40ov5C7kbJVtr4eg0DEd5oW6Bs.html
I know this game wasn't the be-all-and-end-all for a lot of fans, but I am still grateful it exists. I grew up a die hard DB & DBZ fan in the 90s-early 2000s. I remember being a kid and wishing for an open world DBZ game forever. The Legacy of Goku series was the closest thing I ever got to that, and I cherished those dearly when growing up. DBZ Kakorot more or less felt like the big gen version of those when I played it. It's not perfect, but it was still a satisfying experience simply because it was the closest to giving me what I wished for as a kid.
Sparking zero, it's the BT4 we have all(ps1 and on kids) have been waiting for. Should be here q4 24.. but there is a 3rd season pass for dbz kakarot planned
Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games except of Dragon Ball Z Evolution are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective.🤷🏻♂️✌️
I loved this game so much but I felt there was a lot of missed potential. The biggest annoyance for me was how boring most of the dialogue was. Some big moments were fantastic but for most scenes, the developers didn't even try to implement any movement or physical acting for the character models. Everyone just stands completely still as they speak their lines. Thank goodness for the superb voice acting but it can feel disconnected when the characters being portrayed are statues
Not sure if the mechanic has changed but eventually you will upgrade the dragon from two to three wishes. At this point, possibly before idr, once u summon shenron and makebur wish and travel out the area, the balls are reset instantly to collect again its ike within seconds bulma is hitting us up to go get them again lol
The game’s great and if you get it at a discount it’s worth it. If you get all the DLCs at a discount too, then you’re spending as much as paying for the full game and you can play quite a lot of hours in it. I come back to it once a year ever since it was released. I play for 2/3 weeks and I uninstall it. Every time, it feels great The only part that gets repetitive are 1 and 2 DLC where you have to level them up. Honestly it gets pretty boring but then you get some sort of accomplishment after you beat Beerus at both
Got the ultimate edition in an Xbox sale a while back and it’s great! Although I’m glad personally I didn’t pay the full price. The DLCS are also great, apart from the Beerus ones as you mentioned. They barely even add anything except for farming waters to boost your characters levels.
With beam struggles, best way to counter is to use the slow motion that happens when you go to use a super. The moment you see a large line appear aiming at you, quickly use a beam attack. You can do this infinitely as the slow motion doesn't sto so you can easily counter attacks.

the point you made at around 21:00 about following different character's points of view, is interesting. One piece has a game called "one piece burning blood" where it takes you through only one of the arcs, but you play through it about 3 times through 3 characters' point of view playing AS different characters as well as against different characters, but it all tells the same story. I feel like that could have worked as a dlc, but i also don't feel like content like "chasing bubbles and gregory around" would be good as the base game nor content I have to pay for instead of what we got. I'd like it as a side mission better.
I wasn’t interested in Kakarot as I feel like a lot of Dragon Ball games I played kept reliving the DBZ saga but I do love the open world exploration and the graphics are fantastic. Makes me wish Xenoverse 2’s Conton City was more bigger and more mini conents for my characters to feel more alive and take screenshots. Also, I think this game could work for a gamer who never grew up with Dragon Ball and wanted to get into it without watching the anime.
I love it when you play without healing items it really forces you to learn the combat and enemy patterns. I also like playing it with DLC. I always go about this: Bardock > World Tournament > Saiyan > Frieza > Android > Cell > Future Trunks > Buu > Uub and then i also play the power awakening dlc's if i feel like it. But i just love starting out with bardock it makes frieza feel like so much of a threat right at the start. You really hate him a lot more.

I really liked this game, I just finished it and I really had a great time, I really don't understand the bashing behind this game after yes the game and not perfect especially in terms of non-mission combat which they very repetitive and there is a lot of filling for nothing, for example picking up objects that are of no use. I would just like something that they put in Dragon Ball, but when Kid Goku.
I really, REALLY, Dislike the combat, and is not like I can't enjoy a good RPG with unsatisfiying combat, I love F3 and New Vegas, but the RPG part is lacking for me at least as well. With unsatisfying in fallout I mean shooting, the gore is top notch
Personally It shouldn't have been a dbz game tbh Should've been a dragon quest rpg or some other open world rpg that uses the akira toriyama art style But its whatevs
the combat is absolute booty cheeks. Enemies will facetank attacks that are supposed to be planet destroying and kick you in your face after. You cant even chain attacks like normal attacks -> super attack because apparently there's a hidden cooldown system so you end up just standing still and staring at the enemy like an idiot after doing your normal attacks waiting to be able to pull off a melee super. literally the worst combat system in a dbz game i've ever seen.
Gotta respond to your last few points as they seem rather unfair : 1) Playing as too many characters rather than having it be a DLC They probably made it to keep the gameplay interesting and not stale as you learn to play with multiple characters and their different attacks rather than wait till you get new attack for Goku. Also WTF dude, you WANT them to MILK the playerbase ? finally a developer gives you more than you asked for and you complain... 2) No Ultrawide support - if you talk about the black side bars there's a solution to that I found which is just turning the game to Borderless Window 3) I agree with you on the rest, fk the food and community systems they're so convulted I never even bothered with them
@@DudiReviews yeah I'm from Brisbane. Good friends with Danny from Geekdom101. Watch Kai with the Yamamoto score voice actors have straight up said it's superior work. Or watch the sub.
21:09 is such a bad take imo. Like full games from piccilos side? Boring. Even vegetas.
Each their own mate
But this review was made last year…
Is it better then dbzfighters?
@@markojagar6658 it's kinda a completely different kind of fighting game. That'd like say marvel v Capcom
yea I'll take 2 please!!!
Really good game I’ve enjoyed it a lot I play the game with my 5 year old she lovessss to play it 😊
Is it just me or is dbz the breakers (newest dbz game) isnt actually that good
I really, REALLY, Dislike the combat, and is not like I can't enjoy a good RPG with unsatisfiying combat, I love F3 and New Vegas, but the RPG part is lacking for me at least as well.
With unsatisfying in fallout I mean shooting, the gore is top notch
I think it's great to relive the saga again and playthrough
Can't wait for sparking zero in October
You and me both my dude!
Personally
It shouldn't have been a dbz game tbh
Should've been a dragon quest rpg or some other open world rpg that uses the akira toriyama art style
But its whatevs
Sounds like You'll enjoy Sandland then, which is basically this but made by Akira as well
I like garlic jr…
Good news is he's in Sparking Zero
RB2 will always be the GOAT for me.
Play with each other and play with yourself💀
@@Treetreett haha I end all my videos with that
the combat is absolute booty cheeks. Enemies will facetank attacks that are supposed to be planet destroying and kick you in your face after. You cant even chain attacks like normal attacks -> super attack because apparently there's a hidden cooldown system so you end up just standing still and staring at the enemy like an idiot after doing your normal attacks waiting to be able to pull off a melee super. literally the worst combat system in a dbz game i've ever seen.
sorry to hear you didn't like it mate
Them ps2 games ages very poorly people, dont cry a new one is coming soon
Gotta respond to your last few points as they seem rather unfair :
1) Playing as too many characters rather than having it be a DLC
They probably made it to keep the gameplay interesting and not stale as you learn to play with multiple characters and their different attacks rather than wait till you get new attack for Goku.
Also WTF dude, you WANT them to MILK the playerbase ? finally a developer gives you more than you asked for and you complain...
2) No Ultrawide support - if you talk about the black side bars there's a solution to that I found which is just turning the game to Borderless Window
3) I agree with you on the rest, fk the food and community systems they're so convulted I never even bothered with them
fair enough my dude
❤❤❤❤facts
Cheers my dude
this game could have been alot better
kameyameya
Kakarot was a major disappointment.. flying was mid, music was mid. Legacy of goku 1/2 was better
Didn't know opposite day was a thing
Let’s be real your comparing a gameboy game to ps5 Xbox and pc game😌good luck with that…
You say Kaio-ken incorrectly. Definitely an old english dub fan with the crap music.
That's what we had in the 90's/2000's in Australia mate
@@DudiReviews yeah I'm from Brisbane. Good friends with Danny from Geekdom101. Watch Kai with the Yamamoto score voice actors have straight up said it's superior work. Or watch the sub. Get the cliches I don't like Goku's female voice actor yet will listen to Stephanie Nadolny voice Goku and Gohan. There's always an excuse.
I love everything about this game except the way too long cutscenes and the two pack of ass that is the combat
@@zed54 yeah fair my dude
This game fucking sucks
@@maskingtables sorry you didn't like it
