    One way to manage migraine by relieving stress, plus balancing the autonomic nervous system - the sympathetic “fight or flight” vs the parasympathetic “rest and digest” pathways - is to do meditative breathing.
    One simple meditative breathing technique I love for migraine is the routine daily practice of box breathing 📦.
    To do box breathing, you:
    1. Inhale for a count of four
    2. Hold for a count of four
    3. Exhale for a count of four and
    4. Hold again for a count of 4.
    Then repeat for multiple cycles for several minutes.
    If you’re more comfortable with longer breaths, you can modify the technique for 5, 6, or 7 second increments.
