So much of the content online is like fast food for the mind - it exploits our impulses. Videos about gossip or drama get us to click, but after the video is over, we've gained nothing in exchange for our most valuable assets - our time and attention. I want After Skool to be resource that is educational, entertaining and when you leave this video you will feel like you have gained something. Be careful where you focus your attention. If you don't have a plan, you become a part of someone else's plan. Anyways, there's my little rant. I hope you enjoyed this video! limit my anger at things I have no control over. Thanks for doing your bit to help us.

Do you think thoughts to wear a way to think those thoughts again?

Great video and drawings as always! Last year I was out of balance but I learned some things to get out of my burnout.
    1. quit social media for at least 1 month.
    2. Stop looking at the news!
    3. Breathing excersize (wim hof breathing rounds).
    4. Listing to singing bowls while laying on bed.
    5. Connect with nature by walks and take a swim (especially the cold waters).
    6. And when I felt better, I started to get to my workouts again and feel great now :)

It works. After a car accident in 2017 I live with chronic pain & Fibromyalgia. After years of trying many meds one of them I reacted too gave me congestive heart failure. When I got that news almost one year ago I chose to change everything in my life. I got off all meds except heart meds. I thought it was worth a try. I left everyone and everything that wasn't healthy for me. Just like that. It was hard but my health is worth it. I wake up everyday early and meditate. I visualize my heart and pain healing. I eat very healthy. No alcohol or any substance. I am limited to exercise but I do what I can. I listen to my body. I went to the cardiologist last week and my heart has gotten 10 % better and my pain has lessened. I just have to pace myself. My heart is still low but my goal is to be up to 75% and it was at 33%. I can honestly say for anyone who doesn't believe this works. I didn't think so either. Everyday is a blessing for me and I know now the more positive I stay the better my quality of life is going to be. I am so happy and I will never look back. 😊 Thanks for sharing this Joe. I have felt that also. But then I realized believing that is the opposite of what is being taught here. I don't know anyone who hasn't made mistakes and has not caused life to be more complicated then it needed to be. But all our experiences and mistakes shaped us. We must have learned valuable life lessons along the way to have this message reach us now and want to apply it to improve our lives. There are a lot of people that would just brush it off and think it's nonsense, but we can be thankful that we discovered this teaching while we still have time to practice it. Dr dispenza teaches us so much. And most importantly God makes no mistakes, and created us as exactly as who we are supposed to be. Much love to you and enjoy your life manifesting health and happiness

Redirecting your thoughts to create better emotional states of being has nothing to do with science, its just a way of being.

    • @tzgaming207
      @tzgaming207 10 місяців тому

@@intentionaloutcome9068 Redirecting your thoughts to create a better emotional state is absolutely scientifically relevant, & factually true! Keeping a positive mindset does help promote better health, & there's nothing wrong with that way of being! But this is not what Dispenza claims.
The human brain has no magical ability to cause physiological processes to be more effective than they're going to be without your thinking about them, & definitely not going to affect any malady that has afflicted humankind for hundreds of thousands of years. If that's all it took to reverse Type 1 diabetes, leukemia, bipolar disorder, or any of thousands of other conditions, we'd already know about it; it would just be part of the natural order of things & we wouldn't need Dispenza to tell us. If there was anything legit about "alternative medicine", it would just simply be "medicine".
Anyone who claims that they have some new information that can significantly & quantifiably cure diseases that have been stumping people with actual relevant education & expertise for generations, _MUST_ back their claim up with evidence. Large scale, reproduceable studies. No exceptions! Otherwise, it's pseudoscience & magical thinking.
Dispaneza's claims that we can basically think ourselves well is bullshit on its face & potentially criminal. Remember, he's a chiropractor, who are not doctors & have no legitimate scientific backing. Ever notice they don't 'cure' anyone, & need to keep going back for more 'adjustments'? (Spoiler: nothing gets adjusted when they crack your back, it just feels good... for a little while)

Quit watching / listening any so called "news".
Don't watch any depressing movies, tv shows etc.
Is there anybody near you who needs any kind of help? Some elder whom you can bring groceries? Help them.
Pay attention to people you usually don't notice and be kind to them... clerks, sellers, cleaners etc.
Integrate at least some kind of physical activity every day, or /and walk.
Do at least 5min (increase as you get used) meditation every day.
Pay attention to what kind of food you're eating.
I wish you all the best!

    1. Stress throws the body out of balance.
    2. Anger, hatred, frustration, competition, control, judgement, envy, fear, powerlessness, and more are emotions which are all connected to emotional stress and lack of balance.
    3. Certain stimuli act as triggers which can throw us into a state of emotional balance.
    4. If thoughts can make us sick, they can also make as well and bring with them more energy - We need to manage our energy and focus. This means that we have to inhibit thoughts that throw us out of emotional balance and into fight or flight mode which is very taxing on our body. Our body can be addicted to being in fight or flight mode and the thoughts which trigger it since our bodies are ones of habit. The body attempts to keep us in the known and will fight change.
    5. Different thoughts come with different neurochemistry. Through being intentional with our thoughts and breath work, we can change our neurochemistry and return our bodies to homeostasis. If our bodies are conditioned to not be in emotional balance, it'll take a while for our thoughts to bring us back to emotional stasis.
    6. Focus on what the feeling of gratitude feels like for 15 minutes a day, and in 4 days there will be a 50% increase in critical chemicals which help the body fight disease. - Practice gratitude!
    7. When you are in a state of calm, the power of the prefrontal cortex (the part of the brain responsible for critical thinking and intentionality) becomes amplified.
    8. When you are in this state, your being changes, what you radiate out into the world changes, and what you attract changes as a result. This is when positive and abundant change takes place.

I think you tend to get caught up in 'trying' to think in a more balanced way & change the thoughts that keep you sick or stuck & you forget why your doing it, or, more, what your changing in your body. It was a great reminder for me! I really appreciate what you do! Thank you! 😊 🙌🫶

I went onto the veranda yesterday and sat down, and out the blue I realised how fortunate my hubby and I are. The table and chairs on the veranda is not ours. A friend asked us to keep it for her as she had no space for it. Then I looked at the garden, and how beautiful it is, but it is not our garden as we rent the apartment. I looked over the way and was in awe of the mountain in front of me, and of coarse it does not belong to me. I decided to go inside and make some coffee, put the kettle on, and o'h yes, the kettle is on permanent loan after ours broke. I have so much, even though nothing is truly mine. I am so grateful for all of it.

6:00 that‘a so true… growth and comfort cannot co-exist. That is what makes it so difficult 😮 I have learned from kids HOW DIFFICULT things can be the first time! Or even the first couple of times! Kids will throw a temper tantrum in a whim, but if you are firm and consistent, then they will see that you are the caregiver and will happily comply soon enough. We just want what is best for the kids 😊 but can I do it for myself?
