*That's* what I love about The Doctor and a 50% of what I watch the show for. The Doctor's ability to read people as easily as reading a simple book. He's done many other bangers on this show, but this was his peak. The episode that makes me say: 'If you only got to pick one episode to define each Doctor, which one would it be', this would be my pick for Ten
Ten’s flippancy is just so entertaining to watch. I replayed the ‘albeit a very big front room’ over and over again, just watching the mild confused impressed look on his face. Wonderful stuff.

Love Ross
'Looks like a potato. A baked potato, a talking baked potato'
I like that the sonic screwdriver isn't treated as a "magic wand" in this scene, and that its effects on technology can be fixed
I got really excited when I found out the channel had uploaded Ten !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so happyyy
I forgot how much I enjoyed the tenth Doctor. He was more than just a pretty face.
True, it's a depressing emo who is incapable of living without Rose Tyler.
@@mayotango1317 pretty much. That's one of the reasons why I still hate him and why I think Jodie Whittaker and Matt Smith are better.
@Noah If you think being an emo whiner baby is what makes a good character, then you must *love* Cyclops from X-Men.
@Noah 🙄
I’m not gonna lie; Staal “The-not-quite-undefeated-anymore-but-never-mind” sounds like an awesome band name.
This, to me, was one of David Tennant's finest episodes. His acting was on point here and his portrayal of the Tenth Doctor was on full display throughout this entire episode.
Watching this and I suddenly realize what inspired the background music for the Aperture testing chambers in Portal 2.
Ten had the greatest sense of humor. That kept him alive. A lot.
A talking baked potato😂
look how chill ten looks
“We have an intruder!”
“How’d he get in? In-tru-der window?”
Golden line lol
“That’s not a very good name. What if you do get defeated? ‘Staal the Not-Quite-So-Undefeated-Anymore-But-Nevermind?’”
Genius.
ok if you listen closely to the music at the point where the sontaron teleports, it sounds like music exactly played on the video game portal 2
fluorescent film studios I know right
"Aah, that's not a very good nickname, what if you do get defeated? Staal-the-not-quite-so-undefeated- anymore-but-never-mind?
"Oh that's not a very good nickname what if you do get defeated?
'Staal The Not Quite So Undefeated Anymore But Nevermind?'"
I loved this episode.
Firlow XD who didn't
Sean Hearne an idiot Person that's who 😂😂😂
Yeah you would have to be an idiot to think this episode was anything but a *RUTAN* tootin' good time.....
I'll just show myself out.
kopitarrules I'll hold the door
kopitarrules LMAO
-We have an intruder!
-How'd he get in? Intruder window? Buh-bye!
The Doctor meets Luke's ally: General Staal the-not-so-undefeated-anynore-but-never-mind.
"INTRUDER!"
"How did he get in? In-Tru-der window?"
Thats top tier comedy writing and nobody can change my mind
OHH I GET IT! Holy crap that took years!
I didn't initially get it because of his accent, and I'm an American. But knowing this, it's even funnier now.
love the scene where Luke finally does something useful aka blows up the entire Sontaran battle fleet "SONTAR..HA"
"Awh that's not a very good nickname, what if you do get defeated? Staal the not quite so undefeated anymore but never mind?" Brilliant, just brilliant
1:30 It took me 10 years to realise that was a pun
*Oofs in seventeen different dimensions*
Everything Staal says and does in this scene has me dying of laughter
1:28 'WE HAVE AN INTRUDER' 😂
2:23 Revealing his face 😂
2:29 'STAAL THE UNDEFEATED' 😂
2:36 His reaction to being roasted 😂
3:09 'WE STARE......INTO THE FACE...OF......DEATH' 😂😂😂
Someone puts his mask off
You: lmao so funny lol
@@BaronMartin 😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍
One of the best of series 4. Love this story.
1:30 for those like me that took someone spelling it out to realise this amazing pun.
Intruder window
Intru dah window
In through the window
Love it
"It's like a potato, baked potato..."
The only Tenth Doctor episodes I have yet to see, having been away on their original transmission dates!
SONTAR-HA!
SONTAR-HA!
SONTAR-HA!
SONTAR-HA!
SONTA-RAN
SONTAR-HA
1:30 “how did he get in, intruder window.” 😂
Jodie Whittaker will never be able to tell me to not forget to subscribe to the official doctor who youtube channel like Peter does
One of my favorite little episode series of David Tennant, and probably Doctor Who as a whole.
An entire fictional race concept... born from a moment when the writer randomly thought about a military helmet he'd seen, and "What if the alien's head was the same shape as their helmet?".
Classic Who had some great writers ^_^ .
Wait is that for real?
@@MotorcycleCheetah Yes. The chap who devised The Sontarans stated as much in the *Carnival of Monsters* documentary on *Dr Who BBC Night* , on BBC2 back in November 1999.
(incidentally: at the time very few, not even some of the past actors, thought Dr Who would ever return)
Used to have the whole of it on tape, until a mishap in 2019 -_- .
@@jimtaylor294 the production designer? or Robert Holmes?
David Tennent is the only one who could have pulled off that Intruda Window joke.
Eccleston and Smith could probably pull it off, Capaldi too
I miss David Tennant as The Doctor. Time for a marathon!
Hold up, was the background music originally from Doctor who and then used by Portal 2 later in 2011? Or did they coincidentally use the same "royalty free" music sample for the show and video game. Well this is interesting.
I miss this...so much. Not that I don't like 11 and 12 (I love these guys) but this Doctor Who, the Russell T. Davies and David Tennant era, this was just the best! I do hope Jodie can bring that feeling back...
Btw, has anyone got an idea why upload this now???
Alexa Gomez AlexaGomez
Jodie is a feminazi and has ruined the Doctor
Russell T Davies is coming back!!
This is a great Doctor moment. As soon as he picks up the tennis bat you know what he’s planning.
0:30 The Doctor meets Ben Sharpio 😂😂
"How did he get in? Intruder window? Bye-bye!" XD :D
Excuse me but how did the Portal 2 soundtrack get into this?
Huh I thought I was the only one who realised it, spent 5 mins scrolling through the comments looking for portal
"comedy = tragedy + time" sampled this
General Staal is played by Christopher Ryan. Also know as Mike from "The Young Ones".
