    I'm not "bitching" at anyone... only making a statement/suggestion... I'm noticing that there's 6.5K views on this particular video but only less than 600 likes.... PLEASE, give these videos a "thumbs up 👍🏼" and just at least a short comment. If you love what Hollywood and Smokey are bringing you, do them these small favors that would take you literally less than 15 seconds and it tremendously not only helps their channel but lets them know what they bring is appreciated! Much love everyone! 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼

    Corey states that this song was the embodiment of being bullied. He suffered relentless bullying and this song was him telling you a story through his eyes of what he experienced. That kind of pain and suffering only comes from extreme and intense emotional trauma. Corey does an excellent job recreating those emotions in this song.

    • @Nightdominia
      @Nightdominia Рік тому +8

      And there's plenty of us that have thought similar shit with similar experiences. Corey just gets paid the big bucks to say that shit out loud and not be put on some "threat watch" list because of it.

      I ran into my childhood bully about 5 years ago. The first thing I wanted to do was pop him in his nose, but he looked horrible. Looked homeless. So I put my hate aside and we talked for a few minutes. Apparently his father would beat him and sexual assault him every night and he took it out on me. He became a massive drunk and drug addict. We kept in touch up until his overdose 2 years ago. Didn't die but he did what I did when I sobered up almost 11 years ago. Avoid my past and concentrate on the present and future. Avoid my old crowd and all my past triggers. It's funny how 20 years after the fact I still had that pent up rage against him.

    • @Delboy219
      @Delboy219 Рік тому +2

      We moved around a lot so I had a few childhood bullies. They are all died horrible deaths and one is in jail. If someone tried to bully me today I'd be telling them they should maybe rethink that shit because it brings some fucked up bad karma.

    • @Nightmare_Texas
      @Nightmare_Texas Рік тому +1

      @@Delboy219 It’s funny how the people who pick on you for being you, turn out to be some of the most terrible people and put themselves in horrible situations that cause their demise. I’ve had a few of those myself. We are better for it. We came out the other side better stronger people. They did not. Honestly sucks to be them. I spent many years of my life trying to become un bullyable after years of constant torment. I joined the army, lifted weights, went through extensive training and took up martial arts to get over that shit all while blaring Iowa lol. I feel I’m over that stuff now but it’s strange to look back and think that people were that narrow minded to cause someone so much mental anguish. Now I pretty much bully the bullies so to speak and do it for a living. It’s fun putting them in their place.

    This is about a bully that he had in his life, and how he felt and what he kept thinking of doing to him and to others, so that line I wanna slit your throat and fuck the wound, is basically killing his bully #IOWAKICKSASS
    I’m not supposed to be here = probably has to do with how nearly he died from drugs and also being bullied and his depression and suicidal thoughts, this song is very DEEP

    Ya gotta love Corey and Slipknot . Ive played in local bands as a singer and your vocal chords get calloused over time so it dont hurt much and in some cases make ya sound better ! But we rehearsed 3 times a week for six or so hours or so but only had a gig maybe 6 or 8 times a month . So yeah ...respect to any metal vocalist that not only screams night in and night out on long tours but sing too . Like I said ..RESPECT .

    I've heard / read that a big inspiration behind this song was a childhood bully Corey faced who would beat the shit out of him on a regular basis while of course shouting obscenities at him. This song was apparently at least partly fueled by Corey's sheer HATRED of that bully and the concept of bullying in general. "People make noises when they're sick" at least to me means that the most fucked up people...killers, thieves, even child bullies, etc. make a lot of "noise" because they are "sick."

Live versions are hard to follow if you don’t have the bass studio version already known inside your mind… plus the studio version will always be the best version available for consumption just because. You guys do you, but whenever I see a reaction channel starting off with a live version first I don’t watch it and wait until y’all have posted the studio version first. My son is a guitarist in Slipknot. I don't think, in their wildest imagination, that they ever thought they would be where they are today. They have such appreciation for their fans...that is why they make the music. Being in a successful band is not all fun and games. There are many sacrifices. I haven't seen my son in over two years. It is a hard life being on the road so much. There is also a good side, putting out great music and being able to see the people at concerts enjoy it.
