    If my fiance saw his brother punch their gf in the face and acted like it didn't happen that's a MASSIVE RED FLAG! Leave him!

    I'm a military spouse of 9 years. Distance is hard, but your partner does have to be willing to make the conscious effort to make it work. We spent 3 years apart with him stationed over seas and that was really fricken hard, but we both had to work at it.

    I seriously love you guys!
    Here’s one note: Catholics are Christians. What you are referring to is Catholic VS Protestant… both are Christian. Different style of church (there are differences other than that) but fundamentally the belief is the same. Both believe Jesus to be the son of God.

      To be far, some people do not consider Catholics as Christian. I'm atheist so I think all of it is stupid, but...apparently that's what some people think.

    For HSV story, the guy was really in the wrong. HSV is actually incredibly common and there are many people who don’t even know they have it; its not commonly tested on STI panels, and unless there’s an breakout false negatives can occur. Source: I used to research HSV in grad school. In fact, HE might be a carrier and not know it. IMO, the lack of empathy from him was really telling and there’s no coming back.

      The lack of empathy, Alex said there was name calling (my guess he called her a whore). And the snitching to other coworkers. Three strikes, so fast yikes. By him telling the coworker’s he is trying to make her look in bad and a w at work and there is no coming back from that. Also never ever date coworkers bc of this shhh.

    Guys, he yelled at her. He YELLED AT HER for disclosing her STD status and called her names. I don't know how Jon or Alex can justify his behaviour in any way. That was abusive behavior even if he was "thrown off" - saying you feel weird and want to break up is okay. But, yelling at her? No, unacceptable.

      Right, and potentially in a public space too? They met up for lunch, doesn’t sound like either of their apartments since it wasn’t specified. The betrayal is real, just because you’re remorseful does t negate the reality of betraying someone and their trust and compromising their emotional comfortability around their workspace

    I think it may be a slippery slope for that couple, it may start with a baptism, then the grandparents will try to get them to do the other sacraments that Catholics do as kids/young adults.

We're debating on me being a SAHM once we have 2 kids just because we like to get out of the house almost every day and do activities and my job locks me to a computer during business hours. My income isn't needed but it sure is nice to have so much wiggle room in our budget

    I've only been through one rotation with my spouse and sure it was hard but both people have to make the effort. Stay in the military. If she's a real one, she'll support you and understand your decision. As the wife of a SFC in the army, I know that until he is retired, I am second. He never puts me on the back burner but his soldiers are his focus, his purpose. He is one of the few who are trying, actually trying to make the army better. He's going on 14 years and just got selected for drill sergeant duty so after just buying a house in Kansas last year, we now have to move in 7 months. We don't know where yet but I'm here for all of it and together, we'll figure it out. Rotation is the test. If you can make it through a rotation then you have a fighting chance as a couple, long term. Just be prepared!!

    They’re only talking about the money in the divorce, but look at it from the wife’s side. She was in a ten year relationship with a man, and trusted that they would be getting married and starting a family, and he just bows out?
    That’s ten years of her life, while you were coming to these conclusions. Totally get why she’s demanding half.

    Look, being a military spouse is not easy. I have seen some wives use their anger and picking of fights as a coping mechanism with separations. That being said, most of those relationships fail. If he was in before y'all got together, this is something you should have already known. That he would be gone a lot. This requires a lot of communication and talking. But definitely have this talk before you decide to get married.

And then when he calls me up, it’s him asking me “ okay so now tell me” and me replying to him saying “ no you tell me”. And then we both just start laughing. and then the fight comes back in the middle of our conversation And then we start fighting again. Just for reference where in a long distance relationship.

That would add some spice because it seems like the same 8 questions being asked, just with different people lol I hope I don’t sound like I’m complaining but I just want to know if JUST dating/ marriage questions is the point and I missed something or if we can get a wide variety of questions.

    Responding to the first question - I don't think charging your guests is appropriate, however I get that crab boils are a lot of work and usually contain lots and lots of food for everyone. So I think if you are going to charge, don't ask your guest to ALSO bring things too, that's incredibly rude and will likely turn guests away from your event. And YES Jon! I was raised in a home where whatever you bring to someone's house you leave for the host, unless (like Alex mentioned) the host flat out says please take leftovers or please take what you brought back home. Common courtesy & common sense are not so common :/

    • @ISAYWORDS1
      @ISAYWORDS1 10 місяців тому +4

      It's a subtle (not so subtle) way of saying Catholics aren't Christians that, in my experience, is exclusively used by protestant and usually Baptist/non-denominational/evangelical churches. It's a pretty low blow in my opinion, because both Catholics and protestants believe in the nicean creed, which is the foundational beliefs of all Christians pre schism and pre reformation. Only certain churches like Jehovah's witnesses or oriental Orthodox could be considered outside of the nicean creed so there's more justification there for calling them "not Christian" but I still think that's a needless division and frankly just rude. A lot of people forget that there has been a long history of anti Catholic persecution in the US. Groups like the KKK were established to oppose black people and Jews but also Catholics and a huge part of anti Irish and anti Italian discrimination was based on their predominantly Catholic beliefs. Now I'm not a Catholic or even Christian but I am interested in religion in general and have studied many including the many sects of Christianity. To me, it's such senseless infighting and rubs me the wrong way.

    • @ISAYWORDS1
      @ISAYWORDS1 10 місяців тому +1

      It refers to the "real" Christians, which is whatever sect the commenter's husband belongs to. Usually people who contrast Catholicism with Christianity are evangelical/Baptist and (especially in the south) have a long history of anti Catholic discrimination and persecution. One of the groups the KKK originally targeted was Catholic and a huge basis for anti-irish and anti-italian discrimination in America was anti-catholic sentiment. Not a Catholic or a Christian even btw, just annoyed by gatekeeping Christianity since that's kind of antithetical to the entire philosophy of Jesus

  • @tellaphon6718
    @tellaphon6718 10 місяців тому +1

    To the Christian family. Don't do any kind of religious ceremony that does not follow your actual beliefs. You are teaching your kids wrong and that your beliefs don't even matter if you don't hold them sacred yourself. She should follow her husband and if he is truly a Christian he will not allow this to happen. Also it is weird to hear to older adults talking this way about reality. Of course you should have integrity of course you should not just take the easy quote-unquote way out even though it's actually a lie. Of course it matters.

    15:38 do you guys realise catholics are christians? catholicism and orthodox and evangelicalism and anglicanism and calvinism and so many more are all types of christianity. I thought that was common knowledge, but it seems not. on top of that there is no reason to baptise a childe more than once because baptism is a part of faith that was never specific to any one denomination, if you are baptised as a protestant it applies in orthodox church or in catholic church or in any other church. in fact that is probably one of the few part of the christianity that never changed much throughout many splits in church during the history. I am not even religious in any way. Shouldn't christians know this kind of info?
