I am so with Jon on every topic here. Team Jon. For the whole Bachelorette segment, I think when it's a huge moment in your friend's life, its very hard to say no. I wouldn't want to miss it but at the same time reality has me on a chokehold.

I think what the dad meant by his daughter losing weight for the breast reduction is if they do it now and she loses say 20 more pounds, her breast size will decrease with the weight loss and she may regret the surgery. Once she is closer to her final weight she may not want the surgery after all.
Agreed or maybe just concerned for the procedure overall. I believe loosing weight isn’t necessary for this type of surgery but obviously being in the best shape would maybe lessen anything going wrong.

I so relate to moving to NY near friends and family. My fiancé and I moved to Atlanta 2 years ago and we LOVE it here, but ultimately we miss being near family. Something about each time we see our family being this big to do, visit, figure out something to do, etc. vs just a quick pop in hang out makes me so sad. I’m going to miss ATL so much but I’m excited to be back

To the comment the woman’s dad made about her loosing weight before having a breast reduction surgery if she wants his money -- I don’t think he’s wrong or weird for saying it. As someone with the same body type - if you already have a really large chest and you gain weight - they get even bigger. And yes it’s uncomfortable and can be painful on your back/neck and they do get in the way. HOWEVER, I’m guessing he might be worried about the risks. If she were to continue loosing weight after her surgery - how would that affect your chest? It’s something I think about.
And when I’m at a healthier weight they are still big but they are manageable. And depending on how heavy she is, if she lost more weight it might be a breast lift she might want instead - since the years of weight makes them sag.
Again I don’t knew how it actually works, but I worry if I get a reduction now will I regret it if I end up back at my normal weight. Like what if they are too small and then I’m unhappy haha. I share my uneducated thoughts because I’m guessing the dad might be wondering the same things and coming from a place of lov. And that he should have communicated it in a better way.
And then back to the back and neck pain - the more I work out the less painful it is as I strengthen my entire body/back to carry the weight of them.
I’m not an expert but what her dad said is something I wonder for myself since I’ve gained weight and don’t want my chest as large as it is. They do get in the way when working out (but it’s not impossible to work through it). So I personally decided to not pursue something like a breast reduction as I’ve worked on the health issues that caused the weight gain and am getting back my stride.
So i threw out the 'tell me a story' tonight and my husband looked at me and dead seriously asked if I was high. 😂
So I have to say, I listen to bed time stories as an adult. Stephen Dalton on UA-cam is way better than the calm app. But yea I just have an extremely busy mind, it never stops so the stories help me focus on nonsense and drift off 😊 Also yayy for moving back to NY! Please do a live show here!

In regards to the girl wanting a breast reduction….maybe her father is concerned that his daughter will loose breast size if she also looses weight and then regret having her breast reduction ….so he wants her to loose the weight first, and then decide what she wants to do. They need to talk more and not conclude that he is trying to hurt his daughter.

It's common to hear women say that the first place they gain or lose weight is in their boobs. That's why her Dad said that. She should be close to her goal weight and then get the reduction...actually she should go to the dr as the dr will tell her if she is ready or not, taking her fitness journey into consideration. Love the cooking story 😂

37:00 the reason y he told his daughter to lose weight first is becuz you can lose breast fat from working out. Especially if you're doing a lot of chest exercises. She could change her mind once she reaches a certain weight, she can make the decision there before deciding to put money down on a reduction

I know this isn’t going to be read but I’m gonna put it out there, about the type changing. I think they boyfriend wrong for the way he presented the change to his girlfriend but I do think types can change. If I love glaze doughnuts and always crave one 6months in I might dream about a maple bar and start to crave one of those (not saying bounce or cheat) but it doesn’t me I don’t still love the glazed doughnuts the most. If that makes sense.

You do have to lose weight for breast reduction! *If* you are getting insurance to cover it and you are not within a normal BMI. My friend got it and she had to lose like 10 lbs, can’t remember the reason why

1) setting aside $1500 for a bach weekend is super generous to have a bride go over that knowingly and expect her to be able to go is wild

4) It would cost the others another $83... its not ideal but some people are probably understanding and can take the hit otherwise if not, then yeah the bride should be the one to cover it since she had to be in that area/ OFFERRED THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE..
It would suck to be the bride and get the curve ball but she did it to herself and she should take some responsibility. Also there should be no shame in saying no/ no one should guilt trip someone if they can't make it especially for financial limitations.
Like Alex said, the bride can do whatever she wants but if she wants everyone to be a part/ attend then she should consider peoples situations. Otherwise go to Greece, Bali, who cares! Just be ok when people have to set boundaries' and can't come for whatever the reason is.
