Dmrc 61 this interview takes place in 2007 for the film I’m not there. The Dark Knight took place in 2008. He still didn’t play the Joker before this interview
stop saying that the cause of his death was the joker, it wasn’t true! he told in multiple interviews that the joker was the funniest character that he played and in the documentary ‘i am heath ledger’ his family and friends told that he was very happy and excited for that role. he started having problems after the separation with michelle and because he wasn’t able to see his daughter (Matilda) often. Matilda and Michelle were everything to him. After the separation he started suffering from a grave form of insomnia and the problem that he always had with anxiety got worse so he had the doctor prescribe some anxiolytics and some pills for insomnia (he slept only one, two hours per night). in the last period, while he was filming parnassus he had pneumonia so he was exhausted. he died from an accidentally mix of all these medicines prescribed by his doctor (cough medicine for the pneumonia that had not healed well, anxiolytics and pills for insomnia).
It’s insane to think that this soft talking, Australian and humble man could be such an insanely good villain (When all love you Heath, and will never forget you!!!)

thats funny cuz here he kinda sounds like Benedick Cumberbatch (who actually voiced Smaug) when he plays Doctor Strange sometimes
Random comment but ok
I miss Heath & Paul Walker. I can't believe my childhood crushes are gone 😭
They may be gone physically but they left this earth with footsteps for others to try to fit in, letting everyone know that you too can make it. Rip to both ❤️🙏💯
i feel you. just finished the fast and furious movies and i cried so much after the 7th. true legends🙏🏽❤️

Nope he is perfect for his role in batman but phoenix have a special way of representing joker
Choomah Lezly Imagine Phoenix being the joker in “The Dark Knight”
Lee 924 Just watched Joker I think everyone is perfect in it’s own role Phoenix in Joker and Ledger in Dark Knight
MyBb2000 it’s not out till tomorrow right?
alex marques Yes, that is true! I was fortunate enough being invited to see the Joker 2 weeks ago in Venice. I have a recommendation if your young don’t watch the movie now because everything will be downhill after seeing it, yes it was that good!
He was such a pure soul. We didn’t deserve him and all of his talent.
What the hell ? Was he God or what ? Yes i feel like he left so soon but we dont deserve him ? What a dumbass
What are you peoples problems? Shut up and stop being spastics. He was a good man. Don't disrespect eachother.
Okay like it’s sad and all that he is gonna and he’s an insane actor but “we didn’t deserve him”? Like what the hell?
The we don't deserve him part is probably a bit too much. And all these people who got triggered by our disagreement which is obviously not a big deal, these triggered kids can go cry in the corner.
Axzein honestly, I don’t mean “we don’t deserve him“ literally. I just thought it was a thing you say on the internet, like “OMG ShE iS sO AmAzinG wE dOn‘T dEserVE HeR!“ I miss Heath and he was an incredibly talented actor and it’s absolutely sad he isn’t alive anymore, but of course I was exaggerating with this comment
Once in a lifetime actor. What a time to be alive. RIP legend.
he was handsome.
So sad because he doesn't even know how much bigger he became than Nickleson and any other jokers
jordan langille Well he is the best Live Action Joker but Mark Hamill is the best Joker overall.
@@galacticalgalaxious2220 Not really,to me both hamil and ledger are legends as the joker.
Galactical Galaxious lmao dude you literally sound like an edge lord. I bet ya got ledgers why so serious poster on your walls and “relate” to him. Gtfoh mark hamill will always embody the most true to form joker as he was envisioned in the comics. Ledgers joker was more Nolan verse Esque as it sat in the realm of reality.
@@galacticalgalaxious2220 fuck off
I loved Jack Nicholson as the joker!
This man looks so calm and reserved. A handsome fella like him is someone I would have love to see in more movies. His talent will not go unnoticed. Thank you for being the joker.
It's crazy that his voice, his actions have ZERO resemblence to the joker
Like, if you show this man to a newbie to the dark knight movie. The newbie would've never guessed that this man played joker
That's a testament to his acting also the make up was done by himself I believe so that probably helped as well.
Omg he’s so beautiful
The gruffness in his voice is so sexy. *sigh*
ikr 😍
yesss
definitely 😭💓
*facepalm* omg
@@totterdell LOOK. AT. ME.
What a handsome and an amazing actor Heath Ledger was. I loved him in A Knight's Tale. Rip, Heath
@GreenSlushyBoxx / , me, too. I loved Heath Ledger
A Knights Tale is one of my favorite movies of all time!
Oh How Handsome I Look Without Make Up
I love you 💕💕💕 so hot
Are you in heaven now
You need help..
Wow you're so cool, keep it up
Tf stop....
Heath Ledger was the best Joker. Joaquin Phoenix played the part of becoming joker the best.
Ionut Makz no shit. The way he played the part no one can beat it.
@Ferbințeanu Ionuț Cosmin No shit
100%.
@iMakz Um no?
yeah both of them portrayed differently Joaquin Phoenix are more on emotional side than Heath Legder's menace and fun.
What a beautiful man he was
Just imagine we got a solo heath joker..... that would’ve been one of the best movies ever
Phoenix did more than an amazing job though.
@@eafanboyssuck Phoenix was great but nobody can complete heath ledgers joker imo
@@Pinned.by.Yourself amen
Random Comment is there any action in the new joker or is it boring
@@cesar2934 IMO its not boring - Arthur Fleck's story as the Joker in this film is chillingly realistic
Am I the only one who didn’t know he was Australian?
Because now I feel stupid but also happy to be Australian...
Oi m8
nope not the only one!
No offense but if i was Australian i would've known he's Australian.
Justus O'Connor no offence taken I must not be a huge Heath Ledger fan 😂
if you're Australian youre stupid for not knowing
UA-cam purposely “recommended” this.
He still had the "Joker" inside him in this interview.
UnraisedSwine 7 rediculious
Awesome! I never knew Heath was a fan of Tom Hanks Ioved Heath as The Joker, and in Brokeback Mountain
UnraisedSwine 7 absolutely! I felt it at the first moment and it’s little bit scary.. Still I’m sorry for him.. RIP
Iya benar seperti joker
Stop fantasizing stuff, fucking douchebag.
rip the world was robbed of a very talented actor and a good human being
Did someone notice that he still does the thing with his tongue like joker
Dmrc 61 well he always licked his lips and they added that to the character it wasn’t on purpose.
@@mishereee624 Apparently he did it because his lips would dry out because of the voice he did for the joker.
Sam Percival yeah i heard that too
Dmrc 61 this interview takes place in 2007 for the film I’m not there. The Dark Knight took place in 2008. He still didn’t play the Joker before this interview
@@hsuyangshin5034 They filmed the dark Knight ages before this interview though, it just hadn't been released.
stop saying that the cause of his death was the joker, it wasn’t true! he told in multiple interviews that the joker was the funniest character that he played and in the documentary ‘i am heath ledger’ his family and friends told that he was very happy and excited for that role. he started having problems after the separation with michelle and because he wasn’t able to see his daughter (Matilda) often.
There's a part of me that still hasn't gotten over his death. What a legend and what a nice, nice guy... Makes me so sad.
Nobody can play THE JOKER betther than him, he is the real OG JOKER
Asad Riaz I’m sorry but Joaquin Phoenix played the role better than him
Asad Riaz Joaquin phoenix's acting was unreal and incredible
Heath's Joker will always be special but Joaquin's portrayal was better in my opinion as well.
Ledger played a real maniac. He was better.
Ledger was way better..
It’s insane to think that this soft talking, Australian and humble man could be such an insanely good villain
(When all love you Heath, and will never forget you!!!)
Such a tragedy at only 28 years of age it’s nuts. He’s so calm in this but also seems jittery and distant, he literally screams of anxiety to me. What a loss & such a talent.
