- Learn how to play Man Of Constant Sorrow by Soggy Bottom Boys on the acoustic guitar. See chord charts and strum patterns in real time so you can play along.

My goal is to make popular songs playable for beginners. For this to be possible, I may make minor adjustments to the original chords of a song.
Also, keep in mind that l don't go over the entire song for the tutorial. This is to keep things short & easy to follow for you guys. The same chord progressions are simply repeated for the remaining verses and chorus’s. Download the chord chart to get the full song with all the words & chords.
I hope you enjoy!

thanks. But a tip for all youtube guitar teachers - ALWAYS DEMO THE SONG BEFORE STARTING THE LESSON!
Dude! You are awesome!! I been watching, trying to play for literally 35 years and I just now have seen the path and you are the light.. Already learn 4 songs in 30 minutes of not even really trying. It's actually FUN to play now!! Thank you, thank you!
You're welcome, Jose. I'm so excited to hear that! Keep it up!
Thank you Jonathan for being a blessing to all who follow your simplified guitar videos, you've been a great help with hymns of praise that I play in my local, and sister churches. GOD bless you!
Excellent lesson! Thank you for giving the details on how to add some flair to it as well. I like the bluesy E/G with the pinky.

Anyone, THIS is the best lesson I found after seeing... numbers of them. All too complicated. This guy is showing it simple and clear - as they would have shown't tuya ages ago. No extensions, pretensions, compli fuckn -cations. Excuse me French😔
'Cause back in the days, grits had no time for fancy-movements- learning . Only time they had was n the jail. Thing is, there is no guitar in jail....
Loving this tutorial - thank you so much. Your take on this song is great. Just wondering re the B chord - is the high E string (thinnest string) to be played or to be muted? Normally I play a B as a barre chord and haven't seen this B with open B and E
Dude are theses your own vocals? If so dayum like amazing. Any tips for singing in general . And also playing guitar and singing ?
Thanks!
You're welcome!

Man Of Constant Sorrow by Alison Krauss & Union Station Band
I prefer the B7 but the B works well too! Great video..
Yes, the B7 is a great choice as well
Nice voice
Thanks!
Glad for video but sad about ordering.
Tried to order chords but interface wouldn't let me.
A bit surprising since I taught computers for 20 years. Perhaps it was my error...
But nice video.
its by Dan Tyminski
Excellent
Make something complex accessible to gumbies like myself.
Double drop D tuning I think is necessary.
Lol so it’s in drop D with a capo at 3rd fret
If you don't want to re-tune and add a capo this version will work...But the Dan Tymanski version is far different.....
How many BPM to this?
Not exactly sure, but if you practice it around 180 BPM that's a good starting point.
Thanks for the quick reply! I'll practice slower and ramp up to that speed :-)
He's not playing it the way it's played the way it's wrote but it's Cool never the less without drop D Capo it's Cool Bud 😎👍🇺🇸🍺⛏️💯
I thought this song was played in the key of D?...
Hey Bryan. I transpose the songs into a key that's comfortable for me to sing in. If you'd like to play it in D, it's easy enough to transpose it. I have a transposing cheat sheet that'll help if you need. It's free. You can get it at this link: simplifiedguitar.com/3-step-guide/
Also, this tutorial will help learning how to transpose. ua-cam.com/video/rTFS98ls8FQ/v-deo.html
Marty who?
G Loyd Marty fucking music bitch. Recognize
@@coolkidscarclub farty quartz?
Voice is not in key with guitar
Doesn't sound anything like it!
Completely wrong.
Research it.
The song is in drop D tuning capo'd at the third fret.
If you at least understood how music actually works, you would know that there is more than one way to play the same series of notes/chords.
But I guess not everyone can, like, not be an asshole to a guy who just wanted to make an E standard version for easy playing
@@chrismcpherson7582 BURN! lol
my pinky is useless
No where close to the song
play a demo first dude, what the hell
And this was easy how? None of what you said was easy to follow with all the jargan you added. Just confusing.
That’s not even close to the song
Tip most good players play the song through first to show how the song sounds.lm out i like others versons better sorry
Horrible
Stop singing...pls
