Finally, someone has the sense to show the fretboard from the player's perspective! No guessing as to what may or may not actually be fretted. Thank you.
I tried six, seven other tutorials of "oh brother". But this here is the only one that shows the notes and timing (of at least the intro) in a reproducable way. Thanks a lot!
Best guide I've found for this song so far. Too many others are missing notes, not strumming it right, or just plain playing it far from the way the song actually sounds on the recording. This is extremely close if not spot on. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome job man. Thank you. Great perspective. I got close with open tunings and different positions, but you nailed it. Also you can pretty much play that lick from the D shape (F chord) by throwing the middle finger at the 6th fret (true 6th fret) on strings 5 and 4.
I appreciate the detail you put into your videos especially the angles of the neck in the picking all at the same time sometimes people just go through it and say there it is, go ahead ,do it give you a few chords and that's it.!!!! it's an awesome video layout keep up the good work thank you again
I learnt this in regular tuning as e a b chords with a few embellishments and a bend on the low e every couple of bars...I like your version too, just about to give it a blast ☺
Thanks for this. I have just been faking it. I first heard Dan perform it live at the movie premier release party at IBMA that year. I still have the replica 45rpm gift they gave. You have helped me greatly. Thank you so much!
Very cool and useful lesson, inspired by the version I like best, byDan Kiminsky and Union Station. I just may check out the tab to see the shortened version of the riff, just to be sure but I think I've figured it out.
hello check in this video in which tone the guitar is tuned I do not understand English so I do not understand the video I wanted to ask. thank you in advance Cómo se pronuncia Comentarios translate.google.com.ar

Uncomfortable as fuck, right? You gotta practice it like every other chord, but remember how uncomfortable was a simple D minor for example when you started playing the guitar!
this is pretty damm close, i saw him play it before and hes sliding alot on e and a string in intro but your version is pretty damm good. Nice lesson. fair play. Have it nearly down.
I think he was just stating that it is rattling pretty badly and it detracts from the playing. I have a hummingbird set up nicely, low action but no rattle, even if you hammer it.
+Mark Jordan thx for clarifying my comment, i didn't intend to be so critical.. Great approach and tech really informative... I must have been running late getting to the shop or something... I've been fortunate enough to get to keep and maintain at least a couple of really punchy birds like yours...been I work in service, so at least for short periods of time I get ti play hundred's maybe thousand every yr. Every great player has preference on guitar setup based on style and tech they use the most. I got a strong impression the player in the video is a highly talented guitarist that can cover anything but his guitar is set-up with string height an suited for this style of flat picking or maybe he's a great blue grass player but couldn't play his own guitar.
Sounds to me like his bass side is set too low, or a couple of frets need dressing. Maybe his strings are a bit light and aren't tight enough on the bass side to stop the rattle.... who knows..... but it is a shame. I like to pound the bass but couldn't stand that rattle.
You can bury me in some deep valley, For many years where I may lay Then you may learn to love another, While I am sleeping in my grave (While he is sleeping in his grave)

Amen!
This song's title is not "oh brother". This tutorial didn't go in to anything about timing.
Agree

Great lesson ...no messin round! THIS IS FOR INTERMEDIATE PLAYERS NOT BEGINNERS!
Nice I will definitely be subscribing to your channel I like the way you give the top view of the guitar so you can really see where your fingers are
Well done

Easy but powerful
Great TuTO !!! Thx !!!
Great just great thanks = how much is it to subscribe = waiting for an answer. Thanks again
Cool lesson but I thought the tuning for this was DADGAD? Am I wrong with that?
You can play it in ou're DADGAD as well. You're mostly playing the bass line anyway, so DADGAD is perfectly fine if that's what youre used to.
Is that a 400ce you're playing?
Good lesson, what else ya got
So many tutorials only showcasing the drop s tuning , What about D A D G A D tuning

nice explanation! How in the world do you make that G?

Thanks man !! but too quick for strangers and "beginners" (of this style)
Can tell that Taylor not set up for bgrass! Great lesson though! Thanks for posting
How should a guitar be set up for bluegrass? And how can you tell?
I think he was just stating that it is rattling pretty badly and it detracts from the playing. I have a hummingbird set up nicely, low action but no rattle, even if you hammer it.

It would be a lot easier to learn if you showed tabs
You can get the tab here
centerstagetabs.com
@@CenterStageGuitar
I checked the tabs for sale.
They are incomplete. They do not show the strumming pattern. How do I know how to play the song?
You can bury me in some deep valley,
For many years where I may lay
Then you may learn to love another,
While I am sleeping in my grave
(While he is sleeping in his grave)
Good job but please fix the Fret buzz. Its extremely annoying
Does the damn song supposed to sound out of tune as hell bro .?
Great lesson anyhow .
Thanks for the lesson but your guitar sounds a little out of tune.
Your capo sucks like mine.
Doesn’t sound like the song. Crap
