Great video love it when creators make videos giving warnings back in the 90s when we first all got our Hondas after watching fast and the furious went on a spree of trying to customize them in every way possible with very little knowledge and no UA-cam. You have definitely changed my view on the D series motors. Back in the day they were the butt end of a joke. And some guys were making power with them and they were probably knowledgeable like you. If my wife would ever let me get another Honda Civic I would enjoy getting back to doing this. I don’t know if we ever gotten this far in fabrication and understanding as you have. But we sure could’ve used you back in the 90s lol keep up the good work man God bless
Instead of having another T use that block off vacuum port ,just use a reducer to get it to fit the line size or just run an auxiliary vacuum port bar. They help simply things exp when you have to find a vacuum leak
From the top of your wastegate run the vacuum line to the outlet of your turbo to a tapped brass fitting. If you dont have one there should be a provision to install one. Where you have the line though is fine. Be sure to put zip ties on all your vacuum lines. Boost can blow them off. 👍
2:28 was enjoying this up until this point in the video. It will NOT spin your turbo backwards lol. All it will do is just slow the turbine wheel down a bit but thats all and create a nice flutter sound. If you have a good turbo it will be able to handle it.
Can I make my 2005 Honda Civic lx special edition manual transmission like that and if so what do I need or can I drive it to Texas so you can convert it into a monster turbo
Hey dude how does the vacuum line work Off the top of the wastegate ? My wastegate was one of the bottom and top but just been using the bottom one. Looked on eBay and there is one with jsut the top port
If you ever get a ssqv bov I can make you some. Different inserts. If you knew the threading and size of that one I could make you one for the one you have
No, your Turbo will NOT reverse direction without a BOV. I don't know who started that rediculous rumor. BUT, do run a BOV unless you love turbo lag....
DO NOT run a ball bearing turbo without a TurboSmart OPR as well. Very important. If your running a journal bearing Turbo a OPR is not needed. Don't use an oil restrictor either on a journal bearing Turbo.
Man, I am kinda scared of running no oil pressure restrictor on my journal bearing turbo. I did have a smaller t25 turbo before I bought a t28 57 trim. If you are comfortable without running a restrictor, I'll take your word on it.
do NOT block off the pcv system like this guy, it is needed to correctly vent the crankcase via vacuum from the intake manifold and is likely to cause engine failure especially when turbocharged

360CEA725 You are welcome!
Hey man you said in the comments that you’d put links in the description, if you could that’d be great. Thanks- love the build btw
Awesome video! What oil viscosity should I use when turboing my Civic? 5w40? 10w40? 20w50?
I can vouch for the rod knock issue after using Royal Purple. Had to get my crank cut because of that.
Good video. What happened to the DSM turbo you have before?
Good video buddy 👍
Cody Smith Thank you 🙏🏻

Rotells t6 is good stuff and is jaso certified so it works in motorcycles. Much cheaper than paying high prices for motorcycle oil.
Mann your awesome!

Finally got my turbo y7y8 done

Can you show a vacuum hose route on the z6 intake but the fuel nipple I have a catch can hose going there not sure if that’s correct
What is you have a turbo w 4 psi and internal wastegate is there a real need to upgrade the map and run stock.
What weight of super tech oil should I use in Nc summer time

What would I gap those plugs to?
Can I run it with fmu with automatic with tranmission cooler will it hold 🤔
So we should keep the automatic ecu ? I’m doing the swap and was thinking of using the manual ecu ?? I shouldn’t ?
Hey do you daily the turbo y7 if so is it a nice daily do you make long drives with no issues?
Never had a issue with long drives and yes it was my daily when i had it.
Whats the plug gap??
what turbo are you using?
👌
Search compressor surge myth, air going back through the turbo won’t damage it
what about the power brake booster ...doesnt boost affect it?
Acc3l3ratoR It don’t affect anything.
ok...if you say so. Thanks
Supertech FTW all I run in my modded 04 mcs
Put links in description, fornthe stuff you a talk about
Natch Belltaddeo I will do that.
Ok respect
If you ever get a ssqv bov I can make you some. Different inserts. If you knew the threading and size of that one I could make you one for the one you have
hmm i might just send you the current insert and let you make some out of it!
Amsoil 👌
How power do you get out of a sohc turbo? Like 180 hp? 😆
It’ll Forsure whoop your weak ass Beamer that can’t last more than 65k miles 😂😂😂😂
Can I add a turbo to the car while the air conditioner is still there 🥰
turbo doesnt spin backwards

My Hondas do not like Royal Purple either

I'm a deuche nozzle
Should gut it all and put it all in a 2door
