      Now we just need to stop seeing 59-60hrc m390 in excellent designs... Let's start seeing 62+HRC m390 in premium models with excellent designs, give the user a premium steel that performs as a premium steel should.

    The Watchman WF221 in 14C28N has been treating me very well so far. For $25 it's hard to go wrong.

    Didn't see anything id really use.
    My favorite small fixed blades.
    Watchman we222 14c28n $31
    BPS Aura N690 limited edition nolonger available $45 shipped
    BPS FinLite 1066 $21
    Coldsteel mini pendleton hunter Aus10 $13
    JeaBrother 14c28n $29
    Coldsteel SRK-C sk5 $35
    Anyone of these knives i would consider a real survival knife.
    In my opinion after many years of survival training and classes.
    Survival is when all your regular equipment is lost or missing. So all you have is what's on you. In those cases your most likely to have your most carried knife.
    I always choose my pocket knives to be able to accomplish certain tasks.
    Carving, being able to clean fish and game. Easy to sharpen. Comfortable to use making fire.
    I usually cross baton very hard wood. Great test.
    Anyone of those knives will do anything needed. Id put those steels against any expensive knife.

    Nice video. These were all awesome picks but I think one knife was missing the Schwarz overland sport.

    I love the Dacian design, but the jimping all the way to the tip seems like a lot of fracture points if you push it far enough.

    Benchmade and its pricing is no longer a friend to the common consumer.

  • @NZComfort

    The Dacian would be great if it was priced around the $150-$175 mark. The fact that you have to custom make a better sheath with a price of over $250 makes this a resounding ______ no! And yes, I do own Benchmade knives, and no, I do not recommend paying full price. They not worth the extra expense. I was able to snag an Intersect for about $150.00, and at that price, it’s nice! Keep your eyes peeled for deals, trades, or used ones at pawn shops. Good hunting my fellow knife addicts!!!

    Not a single decent custom blade, not even 1! I thought the title was a joke at first… a few average at best production blades, and literally one of the worst cheapest piece of junk production blades on the market. Calling middle of the road unmentionables and some legit trash “the best”. I was gonna say good one and throw in a laugh but I watched about 30 seconds of the video and you guys are actually serious with this 🤯 Depressing. The state of our community in this day and age, just sad!

      what blades would you recommend?

    • @BoneTactical
      @BoneTactical 6 днів тому

      @ if I’m going to call a knife the “best” then it should at least be a good knife and the rest is opinion. In order for a fixed blade to even qualify as being the “best” it should contain high quality materials, have unique/individual characteristics, great ergonomics for the intended purpose, solid sheath/carry system, and be 100% made in-house by someone who knows metallurgy - heat treat - and a good bit about whatever the knife is intended to do. Thought this was common sense, but I often forget not everyone knows the basics! This review took almost nothing of importance into account

      @@BoneTactical What are your thoughts on Chris Reeve knives?

    • @BoneTactical
      @BoneTactical 6 днів тому

      @ they’re not bad from what I’ve seen, haven’t tested any personally though. I don’t know that they’ve actually ever been tested anywhere. As a designer he’s good for sure… as a bladesmith? Does he know his metallurgy? How’s his heat treat? Does he do everything in house and maintain 100% quality control? I can’t answer those questions so I’m not going to say that his knives are some of the best in the world since I don’t have enough information.
