What an amazing collection. We have very similar tastes. One you should try out (if you haven’t already) is the Whiteriver Ursus Cub in Magnacut. I really like that one!
Lots of nice blades there. Glad to see the Mako, I was going to recommend it if you didn't have one, they're pretty rare. I've carried a knife pretty much constantly since my first cub scout folder in 1971 and the Mako is by far my favorite edc knife. I can't speak highly enough about that weird looking little knife. It gets daily use on a small ranch in the four corners for the last 2 years, other than an ill advised day trimming steel mesh fencing because I was too lazy to hike back to the barn for tin snips, it's only needed a monthly stropping. Had to buff out a couple of dings after the fencing but it holds an edge like nothing I've used before. I was hesitant about that pocket sheath, never used one like that before but I love it. I'm afraid I've become one of those magnacut fanboi's as well. I only have two magnacut blades so far, the Mako and an Axial Shift, but I can't speak highly enough about that steel for daily use, keeps an edge for a very long time. I do use a couple of Esee 1095 blades as beaters and a Tkell Bushman in AEB-L as a backup, another great blade. Tkell skews more towards the self defense blades but has some very good edc options available. Like you, I'm not partial to ring blades, but Tkell makes some that just work for edc and self defense.
Thanks for the videos love this one. Can you do one like this for your medium camp knives or 5" - 6.5" lg knives. I just got the Circadia By Rieff, love it. Have not used it yet but looking forward to that. Feel awesome in the hand.
Hey Brother what are your thoughts on Grail knives and Safe Queens a few months ago I got a Trc Apocalypse in Elmax and I really can’t bring myself to use it. To me it’s such a beautiful knife.
@zackaryschmidt5161 i had the same thing happen than started using it and the trc apocolypse is still almost brand new trust me.it can take anything let alone normal use. Trust me.
Okay appreciate the video with that being said here's my two cents!!! From a single dad of 2 American!!! Every fixed blade you showed was 330.00 dollars plus!!? Now I don't know many knife nuts pay over a 100 bucks for a fixed blade I don't care what steel you use!!! 🧐 Especially magna cut when I see that I add $200 to the blade without even looking at it!!! And that's weak to me ... And leather is a rust corrosion magnet which also I hate if you store the knives long enough you'll see unless they're coated blades!!! I'm just saying not all of us are going to buy the $300 knives I'm sure as hell not I don't care how great it is for everyday cutting 👀🧐🤔 USA has gotten stupid with their prices for a fixed blades and folding knives blows my mind!!!! Have a great day 💥💥💥💥💥
Why the Magnacut craze lately? It's all marketing from what I've actually witnessed. 3V or M4 are just as good or better than Magnacut on both Toughness and Edge retention. I have a Benchmade Freek in M4 that I've literally cut barbwire staples in half with, without any damage,. and then I sent an "un-named" brand Magnacut back to the maker for replacement, because I literally chipped a 1/8 x 1/8 chunk out of a Production blade. They're replacing it, but I won't be buying anymore Magnacut. It'a Fad metal, and I'm a TRUE Hard Use user on my Farm 6 days a week / 10 hours a day.
@@HeavySetTactical409 Yeah, I don't have a lot of experience with Elmax, but I do like the looks of the Fallkniven R2 . I might have to grab one up this year.
Got a couple Creely makos myself also the scout 2.5 with an oak city sheath. Check out the dauntless manuf. dogbone K with their pocket sheath that comes with it, subd good vid

Awesome knives, which steel do you prefer the AEB-L or magnacut? Which steel would you choose between ELMAX, AEB-L and magnacut?
It depends alot on the knife. I gree to really love elmax man for survival knives. For folders and edc stuff magnacut for sure
@@HeavySetTactical409how do you figure elmax is better in a survival knife? Magnacut is more tough
The Dauntless is it AEB-L , I’ve been eyeing it, would you mind doing a review of it! Thanks
Yeah I should do a full review of just the dauntless it's in aebl

Impressive. Why is it, there's always another knife that MUST be acquired? Have you thought of starting a support group? :)
Preciosos cuchillos Me gustan casi todos 👏👏👏👏👏
Heavy set and tactical go together about as well as oil and water.

Yeah I agree magnacut is simply elmax and m390 amd 20cv level steel just more rust resistant.

Rust resistance for me living in a hot humid area of Australia . My 3V gets spots on it very quickly
@A.D.D.O.C.D.T yes as I said it's slightly better not ten times better than any other steel. It's hype over the name.
Almost like your unnamed company didn’t do a proper heat treat. Supposedly Magnacut is tougher than m4
