I've only seen Zach sing backing vocals before. He needs more time in lead. That was awesome.

Holy cow, that was much more beautiful than I thought it would be. Wow! That kid Zach's singing was spot on, and the young man on lead guitar with that slide, just wow! He made that guitar sing beautifully.

As a child of the 60s and 70s, I give my useless, but heartfelt seal of approval. I would pay to see them perform live a couple sets of classics. Super job by the lead singer. The girls are incredible as usual and the musicians are phenomenal.

Eleanor, Elysha did an amazing job on vocals for "midnight train to georgia" I also am a fan of S of R musicians and Singers, Lauren Frihauf on "California Dreaming" was also excellent. I wonder if they would take requests?
In my opinion, and even if the band did exactly the job expected from them, the vocal part is better than the original (if you read that, Anthony : sorry…); the three of you melt in a moving fusion, and the three of you having a magnificent vocal range…’brought me a few years in the past - were you even born when the album got released ? Your young age remind me two things : my own age 😅 and also the fact that we can be connected through out the generations by the love of the same musics. Midnight Train is my favorite as well. Eleanor has such a great voice. I can't get enough of her. Austin is the best School of Rock in the country. Such talent!

@@hybridwolf66 Totally agree that there is something very sort of raw and special about how Eleanor in particular approaches the few songs I’ve heard her on here. I hope she breaks out, she reminds me of some serious stars before they were stars. She fills the space she’s in when she is on the song, it’s a gift. But it should also be said that all three of these singers sort of blew the doors off in this particular session. Players were coming close to studio sideman level too. But yeah, Eleanor. Something pretty serious going on there at a different level.

Another fantastic cover by this trio of vocalists. Brilliant performance by Zach. Like all three of these singers, his performance is intense and emotional but the delivery is (or seems) effortless and relaxed. I literally have a playlist with nothing but school of rock performances by these three singers (and the fantastic instrumentalists who always seem to accompany them). it kind of amounts to a EP now and it gets a LOT of play. I don’t know if the songs are chosen by you or the school but whoever is making the choices is making fantastic choices. I realize you are All Stars and likely come from different corners of the world but man, I would pay to see you three in concert. And if you came out with an album of nursery rhyme covers I would buy it immediately and listen to it a LOT 😂. You complement each other so well and the three of you just ooze professionalism out of your pores.

@@julianbazanaguirre8439 Sadly, it's not a long list. I know of five performances involving all three of them. As usual with me, this has become much bigger than it needed to be but you got me started…
So the 5+1 are:
1. This one, Scar tissue, Red Hit Chili Peppers,s with Zach on lead vocal
2. Ziggy Stardust, Bowiez Zack on leads here as well*
(Love Zack's tone, expressiveness, complete immersion on the song and vocal control)
3. I Heard it Through the Grapevine, CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival). Elysha and Eleanor share the lead vocals (Zach doing backups) on this one. They share the stage with three awesome guitarists, including one of my all-time favorites, Gia (she hasn't really been given the opportunity to take center stage to my knowledge yet. Her playing is understated compared to a lot of guitarists her age but is highly skilled both technically and musically and absolutely filled with soul. She also plays on Ziggy and the two songs that follow this one.
4. Midnight Train to Georgia, Gladys Knight & the Pips. Eleanor has lead vocals and holy $&@/# %£@$! This in my opinion is the best vocal performance I've seen on SOR. There have been a lot of amazing SOR vocal performances, especially anything by the other two in this trio, so that is saying a LOT. She is so smooth, effortless, professional, technically sound and soulful. if anyone knows where her career is at today, please tell me. In fact the same thing goes for Zach and Elysha. Speaking of Elysha...
5. Middle of the Road, The Pretenders. Elysha does lead vocals here. Again. Just wow. Listening to it right now, it is actually right up there with Eleanor's Midnight Road to Georgia. Again, so smooth and effortless and just super highly professional. She has the phrasing and, um, emotiveness (?) -- the ability to convey the meaning and mood of the song -- that you expect of an elite vocalist with at least a decade of experience on her. Like Eleanor, there is absolutely nothing forced or stretched in her vocals.
6. "On TV", a really cool original by SOR peer Olivia. Elysha and Eleanor do the backup vocals.
I'm not adding links for all these here, but if you just google the song title + SOR + a singer's first name you should find them. There are duplicate performances of some of these songs by other SOR groups, so make sure you have the right one.
All the musicians on these recordings are just fantastic and loaded with professionalism. As a (former) drummer, I also have a special fondness for Keller who does drums on the first five recordings mentioned here. I keep using the word professionalism because to me, in the end that's what it all comes down to. As a drummer (very formerly) myself I know it when I see it and I appreciate it a lot more than hand speed and circus tricks. Keller has it in spades. I have no doubt that in the right circumstances he could blow us away with an awesome drum solo. But he doesn't need to do that to enhance the music and demonstrate his technical both skill and musicality. Another absolute pro.

Best group for vocals. They harmonize well. Really like them in Midnight Train to Georgia.
Lots support for Eleanor but wouldn't be my best pick, I know they're young and there's time to improve, but she comes over a little souless to me. If I had to choose one of the female singers, Megan on Voodoo child would be one of my favourites. That said, they are all talented.

I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Mostly because no matter how long they've been around and how the record companies manipulate their music, they still sound like a garage band. That is a VERY good thing in my book by the way, not an insult.
