These kids need to be highlighted on The Grammy's As Future Stars of Rock
Couldn't agree more!
never happen, all about the money, besides the grammys are a joke
Good bad
The Grammys couldn't care less about rock or musicanship.
Future rock stars will only be stars if they've created OG music Respectfully, musicians playing covers are referred to as "Cover bands"
When the rhythm guitarist is shredding, you know you're in the middle of something epic.
It would be unfair of me to point out one or two over the others. They were all truly fantastic in their execution!
That's not an easy song for this 52 year old drummer to play. That kid on drums not only nailed it but took it a step further! They all nailed it! Great job, kids! Most adult cover bands couldn't have played it that well.
I agree
The keyboard player is the same from "The Final Countdown" - she is amazing
I knew it! That young lady throws pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!
John Lord is a monster to cover.
These kids are great, but Erin on keyboards is the most enthusiastic
She's awesome but she needs to smile more to show that she's enjoying it. The rest of them seem to be having more fun than her.
@@monteyoung7126 You can tell she's enjoying it by the way she's dancing and singing along.
As a 63 year old, I must say I'm very impressed...Great job you guys, all of you were outstanding. I obviously grew up with this band and many others, had most of them on 8-track at one time or another...love watching you guys cover the music I am still in love with...Rock ON!
I'm 62, this was my first rock album. Yes they nailed it!
That girl on the keyboard, rocks!!!
That Keyboard/Guitar solo is KILLIN IT
Jesus, Joseph and Mary, I lack the words to describe how good these kids are! What a fantastic job by everyone here. Just a great rendition of a Deep Purple hard rock classic song from way back in 1972. Thank you for helping to keep hard rock alive ! Somewhere, Jon Lord is looking down and smiling! Peace !
I would like to see a version of "Smoke On the Water" done by these kids. Ritchie Blackmore is still alive and I hope he sees this video.
the solos swap was just AWESOME.
nailed it.
I must add that Erin on the keyboards is really jammin’! Deep Purple was one of the legendary bands (and arguably the first heavy metal band) to incorporate smoking keyboard parts into their best songs. Keep on Rockin kids! You’re living your best lives!
Jon Lord was insanely good, noone plays like him. Very original.
I wonder if she has ever played a real Hammond M3
Never underestimate the drummer! This kid is incredible! These kids are amazing!
Now go watch Ian Paice... Then you'll know.
Gen "Z" rock & roll UNLOCK✅
That lass in the keyboard is crazy good omg 🫶👊
I am 69 and started playing in bands at 14. These young ladies and gentlemen are killing it. This is an amazing version of Highway Star. I remember when this song came out on "Machine Head" by Deep Purple. Great work gang. Hope to see you do another song in the future.
i also am in my mid sixties and played in a garage band in my teens. i can't get over how well this school of rock puts together all these fantastic covers with such talented young people.
Refreshing how the young people interpret "Highway Star". Respect !
100%
Great job, 🤘
As a 68 year old who listened to the Machinehead cassette in my van back when this came out....all I can say is u guys were fan freakin tastic.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING IN THEIR DELIVERY, VOCALS AND PERFORMANCE. 110% AUDIO OCTANE!
Normally when I hear Highway Star I think of the great sounds from the instruments but I love the way the two girls brought the vocals to the forefront…well done👍👍👍
Can't wait to see this one
I got one criticism.
You only did one song. I want to see more of you kids, this is awesome.
Erin (keyboards) always plays with so much passion!
Great job! Drummer is an ace!!!
ROCKING-N-ROLL is in good hands for sure with young talented people like this ,and a big thank you to there teachers .. out ...
These kids are barely 18 and sound like they have been around for a long time...Great performance...Loved it.
I’m 63 sure wish I would i picked up the guitar when I in grade school and learned it. Ole well live and learn. These kids are very talented.
Everybody was on point. Kristen and Michelle sing great together, the back and forth really added something to it!
JP and Witt, you had a tough assignment, playing Roger Glover and Ian Paice isn't easy, and you made it look easy!
Guitars: Great job, just too many of you for this song. Which is why the guitar duel. Fantastically done, but it robbed Erin of one of the shining moments in the song. She did a fantastic job with what was left of the keyboards. I say give her a B3 and let her ROCK it! (Literally, like Jon did)
Wow, these kid knocked this song out of the stadium............... great performance
That girl on the keyboard, I'm like "Go girl!" Well done, all of them.
Being an entertainer and stage performer is a giant step up from being a musician. If you're having fun, the audience will have fun. Great job team!
You guys and gals knocked that out of the park.
WOW WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VOICE SHE HAS
Absolutely outstanding. Made me miss my old 1972 Monte Carlo. ....sigh....
I gotta say the first girl nailed it. What a voice and what a little cutie. Great job
Another great job by these kids and I gotta say the kid on the drums man he’s following Ian pace just about to the letter. Great job, One and all.
That's the best vocal cover from "amateurs" EVER! Rock on!!!!!!!!!
Oh God! This is awesome! The keybord girl killed it AGAIN! Fantastic, thank you all for this video.
Same keyboardist (Erin) from The Final Countdown video. That girl knows what she's doing. Glad you gave her a shout out!
Great Job AllStars. Awesome talent all around. Congrats Michelle. Love the rings...
he
We love Michelle!
Thank you for Rockin’ this classic. You all kicked butt! The guitars were SHREDDING! 🤘🤘
Soooo good!
Amazing cover. Better than the original. I’m 65 and it’s great to see young folks play classic rock.
Holy......... fantastic all around!!!
The fact that these teens chose a 50 year old song to play tells a lot about today’s music. I won’t be around to find out but I’d be surprised if 50 years from now someone is this passionate about any song from today’s catalogue of music. Well done and both girls were awesome singers👍👍
There is always good music being produced, but you won't find it on commercial radio anymore. Also, these kids tore this song up! Good job.
You could drive 85 in a lot of states when this was written. The vocalists are fantastic and the sound quality is dynamite.
Done in the true spirit of Deep Purple. Well done!!
Got goosebumps with this one, what a great cover of this classic!
Best played with headphones on full
Incredible but man that's some fantastic riffs coming from the guitarist. I was really taken aback!
Return of The Keyboard Queen Erin B!! Great job everyone!
That was a solid performance, each and every one of them.
Wow...I had to put this on repeat. Guitarists are phenomenal as well as keys ..drums and vocals. That girl on guitar is Bad Ass.
Nice to see the young ones perform and appreciate our old time rock and roll!!!
Awesome job too, I might add!!!
Awesome. I think you really appreciate the great songs once you see (up close) them performed live and the complexity of the songs. This song and "Carry on Wayward Son" has so many moving parts, guitar harmonization along with the keyboard. You really appreciate the talent of the original artists more along with those that can superbly cover those songs.
I have seen many groups do this song. This group is the best!
Love this , Those vocals are killing it. God Bless these kids and their talent.
That's cooool!! Bravo!!
Every single performer involved pulled this off spectacularly. Has I can be sure many have replied this is hope for our future.
Holy cow, what a performance......................outstanding
I am absolutely blown away by the IMMENSE TALENT I just watched! As a Deep Purple fan since the 70’s, this is the best cover I have ever seen…rock on! More talent on this stage than 99% of today’s “artists” 😊
this is so good!!! the singers were fantastic. so much hope for the future of music!!!!!!!!!!
There's no doubt. You are all stars!.
So this is a great version of this song. You have my admiration.
Great song! Fantastic musicians!
How CUTE are they!!!
😀
Come on kids! The future of Rock'n'roll are guaranteed!
Vocals, absolutely incredible!!
I lOVE what the bass player does!
Yes, thank you for saying so. That kid is killing the bass in this song. It sounds amazing!
Folks understand you took on what I consider to be the finest classic rock song ever. Huge shoes to fill. Good job. 👍
The Guitars and Keys exchanged solos. No worries. Beautifully played by the guys and girls. Effect of the song was still retained. it's amazing talent y'all. I enjoy your videos. When i thought rock was dead, i am so glad to see y'all performing this way. thank you.
I dang near fell out my chair with that into scream. You NAILED IT!! Awesome job everyone.
We had to pick our jaw up off the ground after that scream!
The Infamous Ian Gillian Scream. Often Imitated but never Duplicated. Until Now. f****N AWESOME.
On point! I felt the energy through the performance this song requires. Having fun when performing and using each other to drive it to the next level is what it's all about! GREAT JOB!!!
Year after year the School of Rock Allstars get better and better. Jon Anderson of YES is touring with Paul Green's Academy of Rock. How cool is that⁉️Awesome job by everyone on this Deep Purple classic❗
HOLY CRAP!!! Outstanding all the way around. I knew it was going to kick when the first singer hit all of Gillian’s intro notes. Then was totally blown away by the solo switch. It is totally something Deep Purple would have done. The drummer hit all of Paice’s licks smoothly- it didn’t sound forced. The guitar players nailed the solo just like Satriani does with Cicken Foot. And the vocals were just butt kicking amazing. This long time Deep Purple fan can’t say enough about how great this was! BRAVO ZULU!!!
Great cover by a Great band that brought us the original heavy-metal sound. This heavy metal was fun to listen to
What great artists! Thank you, School of Rock, for producing quality musicians
Just... Wow!
Again. Amazed at the clean production and talent. Putting a soul stirring spin on a rock classic. Just wow.
Plus it looked like a ton of fun! Nice work.
Not only a killer performance but I’m very excited to see the Warren DeMartini guitar being used to great effect.
What a great group ! Love the girl on the keyboard !
Love the dueling leads on vocals and guitar.
Awesome Cover by these Young Stars! 🎶🤘🙌✨🎤🎸🥁
These kids are something else. Love how they played and sang this...
wow the keyboardist in this video is on fire. i hope she has a successful career in music she has mad talent.
Yo the singer with the rings high key nailed this song respect
She sure did!
Your all STARS! Great job keep it going young ROCKERS
The secret to this song is the driving bass and drums which they nailed big time. I love the theatrical vocals too, brilliant.
the girl on keyboards is a superstar! \m/
Hell yeah! Great job students. Wish they would have showed more of the bass player, that kid was rippin'
Thank you for pointing that out. I also was blown away by the awesome riffs he was playing on the bass. That dude rocked it.
Awesome job to all! Michelle, you are amazing! ❤️
She is amazing!
Thank you! ❤️🖤
Never cared that much for this song but this version is awesome. So much talent. The guitarists in particular are killing it, but there are o weak links here - everybody performs to pro standards.
Just listened to some of the cool old originals that SOR Allstars cover, including this one. It’s truly amazing how much objectively better the School of Rock Allstars’ versions are, this song but so many others too. Much better vocals of course, but quite often better arrangements and tighter, cleaner instrumental work too. Major kudos to the kids but also to the instructors and the music director(s).
Every time I listen to this I pick up more. This time I really keyed in on the keyboardist, drummer and bassist, and man are they killing it. Not a lot of new eight piece rock bands today but these kids would be huge as a band, just so much talent.
What a great performance I got chills throughout my body.
WOWWWW!!!!! You guys really killed it!!!!!! So so so Great!!!!!! Instrumentals incredible and you two ladies are mesmerizing!!!!! All I can say is just WOWWWW!!!!!!! 🧡✌️
Thank you for the great feedback!
Doing a purple cover, everyone have their eyes on the keyboardist, no pressure at all! But you did great Erin, very good performance! I could see you where very focused!
Epic... great vocals and musicianship... astounding
I like how the unassuming Michael Kay guitar kid who was apparently stuck in a closet for some reason smokes the hardest solo of the lot without breaking a sweat.
Clever switching of the organ and guitar solos.
You moved me to tears! You guys played it better than the original! Very good.
The guitarist with the Charvel plays like a rock star.🤘
Bravo 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 woooooooo absolutely awesome
Damn this rocks & those vocalists are bringing it
Freakin' awesome!
I love that they are pulling off the studio version live to this degree of accuracy. No way they could do this if they weren't actually feeling the music. Even the snarky lead guitarist me being one of them for way too long.
