Assassin's Creed Nexus VR Gameplay Is Simply STUNNING On Quest 3! - Ian's VR Corner

- #Assassinscreednexus #eurogamer As much as Ian Higton enjoys the Quest headsets for wired PC VR gaming, he's never been much of a fan of its standalone Quest titles due to the fact that they're often a little bit basic compared to PC VR or PSVR2. Well all that is set to change with Assassin's Creed Nexus VR Gameplay because this is quite simply one of, if not THE best looking native running Quest game he's ever played! Ian's put the first 90 minutes of Assasins Creed Nexus gameplay through its paces on the Quest 3 for this week's VR Corner episode and it really does have to be seen to be believed. It seems like Assassin's Creed Nexus Quest 3 gameplay really is the apple (of Eden) of Ian's eye!

When I saw a skull I thought- here it comes, a Hamlet moment...but no... that was pure Ian's moment - skull eating lemon. I love it.
Genuinely looks incredible
I find joy when I see how far VR has come. Even though I can't afford one.
Quest 2 is currently $250. It's awesome value and running Nexus perfectly fine.
@@VRnamek thanks man! I buy it! Or maybe I'll wait till quest 3 is on sale. 🤷
Phrasing !!! on the job that was done in constructing the hands.
I thought the jumper said Greggs on it 😂
Fingers crossed it comes to PSVR2. Thanks to the Quest/ PCVR, we are slowly getting some decent choice and improvements in quality in VR.
This is such a no brainer for a VR game, I was stunned that today was the first I'd ever even heard of it. And that was as a clip in another VR video here on UA-cam. Then I found out why I had not heard of it...
I HATE exclusive games. Having just recently purchased a PSVR2, I am finding it so bothersome that so much of VR, an already niche market, is even further segregated by these exclusive games. Same thing happened with the Hitman announcement a few months back. I was considering the VR purchase and they announced a new H3 VR experience, only to tie it to one singular platform. If Meta released these titles on a store on PC too, I'd happily grab them and play once the adapter arrives and I can use my headset on my PC too. But why are companies so intent on keeping people who've spent significant amounts of money in search of experiences like these out of their potential purchasing pool? Ubisoft said they've basically not interested in VR now coz this didn't sell well enough... Do they not see the flaw in the logic? So frustrating.
Great video, but where is a scored review for this game on Eurogamer?
I play this standing up and the parkour works way better that way. I had issues with the sword combat seeming a bit janky. A dodge left and right function would work well in this. I am sure the more i play the better i will get at the swordplay
yes, both parkour and melee get way better with practice. And yes, playing VR standing is way better, especially no need to ever turn with analog stick
I'm impressed overall, but the game has micro stuttering/frame pacing issues that really bother me.
I’m assuming no pc support for this game?
No which is a massive shame
How did he get passed the part you have to launch yourself upwards? I’m finding it impossible to do
Looks like you need to aim higher than you think, but I'm just guessing.
Id like to know how this compares to quest 3 on my pro
Nice gameplay
I would love to see more. :)
What headstrap is Ian using?
Looks like a Bobovr m3 not worn correctly (he should attach the black strap at the front, used like that is not holding the weight properly)
11:22 Oh Ian 🤡
I can't figure out how to to save the damn game
it auto saves
Looks good but I don't have a Quest headset.. oh well I'll wait for a PSVR2 port
Won’t happen. Meta payed for the game they won’t put in the effort to port it to a competitor
Meta paid to have this game made so that won't happen
We'll see..
@@DevVRARI think they paid for timed exclusivity but didn't want to stump up the full whack for full exclusivity so it'll possibly appear on PSVR2 and PC at a later date.
@@chrishackwood No, they paid for the full production of the game. That’s why I am almost fully certain it won‘t come to other platforms at all. Please don’t get you hopes up or except anything as it is very unlikely.
Does this runs at 60 or 90?
45 reprojected to 90. The artifacting and frame stuttering are pretty bad.
@@CorporalDanLives whikes.. tks
Sword combat is dreadful
Looks boring af ngl
Looking forward to AC Hex though
