I gotta say, seeing Ian struggle with the spatulas really feels like taskmaster
Making Alex uncomfortable will almost guarantee you get 5 points!
To be fair all the Alex touching was extremely on brand for Taskmaster. 😅
I’ve played the first “episode” so far and as a fan of the show, really enjoyed it. Felt surreal to be in the Taskmaster house. As you said, not exactly a technical masterpiece but great fun if you love Taskmaster. I’d love to see them bring out a party mode to pass the headset around.
Ian for series 19, please Alex?
Might have to be 20. 19 is partly filmed
Alex after the sandwich: I really enjoyed it. 😜
Ian absolutely needs to be on the TV show.
Did Ian select Rhod Gilbert as his character because his mission to try and make Little Alex uncomfortable was on point.
Ian thinking he is about to smash the last melon just to find more was extremely taskmaster.
That's some impressive sandwich-making, Ian. Make some for us on stream sometime! 🥪
One day a developer is going to get wise to Ian's bs to npc in VR, and I cannot wait for that day.
As always, great job.
This looks far better than I was expecting!
I’m a massive fan of TM, so here’s hoping they improve on framerate and object collision.
The only thing missing was Alex saying "All the information is written on the task." when you were wondering aloud how you were going to read the task with spatulas for hands.
There is something seriously wrong with me!!!! I just love Ian doing everything that goes trough his mind!!!
This looks like so much fun. I am hanging for the PSVR2 adaptor to come out in August so that I can play this on my PC using the only headset I currently own. I did see the suggestion that a native PS5 version would be coming eventually, but I wanna play it now. Taskmaster is such a brilliant show. Been binging it with the family every fortnight lately. Got them up to Season 7 (one of my absolute faves) but I was mid S13 when we started over with them. Playing it seems like it will be equally fun and frustrating. Which is peak Taskmaster, so...
As a Taskmaster fan but not a VR fan, thanks for sharing! Incidentally right at the 10 minute mark, I got super nauseous
A charming little game!
Yesssssss I have been hoping this would be covered.
Love Ians' VR Corner. Love Taskmaster. This was a great epsisode for me!
I'm so curious now though; which Taskmaster-episodes did Ian get to watch in studio?
I watched the 2024 New Years special being filmed. The one with Zoe Ball in it!
@@eurogamer Rewatched it and the outtakes. Must have been a blast being there, I'm well jel :-p
Can't they fix it with a patch? Or have they had plenty long enough in development?
Look at me, I'm a journalist for Eurogamer, I listened to no instructions, and didn't look at any of the settings before complaining. Also, this guy says he's a fan of Taskmaster, but didn't understand the grape scissors reference?
as a fan of the show its great but unless u are a fan i can see normal vr players not really careing for it
Y'all call bowling pins "skittles"?😮
I wonder what they call Skittles
@@ShinyHubCaps I'm gonna laugh if it's "bowling pins".
They're only bowling pins if they're being used for bowling. The original game was called Skittles, hence why they're called skittles.
This was so much fun. 🤣
The one thing I dislike about Taskmaster is the food waste, so it's nice to be able to do some [an enormous amount] of that without anyone actually at risk of starvation.
Looks like an enjoyable game, or will be if they can sort the framerate. I'd imagine that could impact on the physics a little too, maybe?
The framerate doesn't seem to be the problem, considering Ian's comment about how it's fine when moving his head to look around. It sounds more like an issue with controller input, which they should be able but may not patch.
That said, he mentions it multiple times so perhaps it does have a low overall framerate as well.
@@dystopiawanderer Yea it seems a bit weird. Could also just be that capturing it caused the problem; that happens sometimes.
Supermarkets waste tons more food in a day than they've ever done on Taskmaster. Nobody is starving because of tasks.
@@AbiSaysThings That's true, but equating things with worse things to make them okay only makes more waste.
to be fair, they’re far more aware and discouraging of food waste now versus early seasons
This looks awful on quest pro blocky and grainy
Isn’t wasting time making puns, talking over the instructions and messing about trying to kiss Alex? This stupidity made me stop the video so I never got to see what the game was actually like 🙄
