wow this guy has some great taste and is obviously a stud, huge fan
Thanks, me
Noice, I'dd add that your mission selection is sexy as hell (although I've been playing almost exclusively cRPGs, RPG adjacent games, and Immersive Sims since 1990 and some of the shooty-actiony games don't mean much to me)
Confirmed top shagger with impeccable taste...
10/10 at reviewing himself
That mission in cyberpunk honestly was amazing
fr. i remember the most disturbing part outta it was the animated cartoon with the farmer and the cows
The Hunt, Sweet Dreams (Peralez), I Walk The Line (Placide), Disasterpiece (Evelyn), Play It Safe (the parade), soo many good quests with action, clue solving, and immersive atmosphere, on top of crazy fun action in those with lots of combat (I Walk The Line, Disasterpiece, Play It Safe) :)
The Hunt was SO creepy, and Sweet Dreams too in a different way.
I think The Heist should be on the list instead
@@TenBrzechwalow hanging fruit. The Hunt is a good mention. Sweet Dreams would have been, too, as another commenter said.
I personally would’ve featured Somewhat Damaged. If you got that mission in Phantom Liberty you know wtf I’m talking about. That, or Sinnerman.
@@tim.noonan i think the peralez brainwash one is more memorable than the hunt, and way more scarier despite the hunt's already graphic topics.
Love seeing Prey right out the gate. Prey 2017 is an absolute masterpiece of a game and the fact that we aren’t getting a sequel is tragic
i W AS SO CONFUSED UNTIL i READ THIS COMMENT. i PLAYED PREY. bUT THAT WASD NOT IT HE SHJOWED LOL. tHERE IS AN OLDER PREY NOT SURE IF THEY ARE RELATED BUT i WAS SCVRATCHING MY HEAD UNTIL JUST NOW WHEN io REALISED MY MISTAKE LOL.
@@AnthonyMLTthe first prey was good. The second prey was dammmmmmn good.
Fun fact, Prey 2017 was actually called Typhon before Bethesda forced Arkane to use the Prey name, hence within the ImSim/Prey 2017 fan communities the game is often refered to as Typhon instead of Prey.
Idk I like the name very much, it fits the game
DUDE, THAT'S FUCKING HILARIOUS BECAUSE THE ACTUAL PREY GAME NEVER GOT A SEQUEL EITHER LMAO HOLY SHIT
rdr2 braithwaith manor is my favorite. Truly an epic mission with amazing sound track and a badass walk at the start
was looking for that
That mission and the one where eagle flies saves Arthur from colonel favors masterpieces of gaming missions I will never forget the rush I had playing those for the first time truly epic🫡❤️🔥💯
American venom is better.
This mission or "American Venom", it's criminal not to include RDR2 on this list
Control Ashtray Maze was also such an iconic quest.
Remedy has a lot of bangers for sure
Facts! I was so amazed the first play through and still amazed the second time around
Jesse: That was awesome
Yes. Yes it was.
I didnt know that you had to find ahti before doing the quest
It’s a travesty that, “Lenny mah boah!!” mission isn’t represented here. If you know, you know.
rdr2 is a legendary game i agree!
That mission isn't legendary
''The Course of True Love II'' was the most legendary RDR2 Mission. The music, the scripted sun setting, the hazy tabbaco fields and a cowboy trodding along on his horse really, really showcased the brilliance of that game. Of course most people probably just quickly blasted through that mission and didn't really take it in as i did but yeh, was an epic moment for me.
LLLLLLENNNNNNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Where's the best mission from the rockstar games, "Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern"?? raiding the mansion is literally legendary!
Sadly I won't be watching the video because i have only played Witcher and Skyrim. All of these games are on my playlist, will definitely play them one day.
Ya totally get that that’s why I put the timestamps too just in case anyone wants to just watch certain ones
I played those 2 for my first time last yr & I totally understand why their ur only played games
Try cyberpunk!
Of all of them, play Prey. What a gem and love letter from the developers!
play arkane's games, some of the best shit ever
I'm always here to see Prey get the respect it deserves
right!!!!
Too bad Microsoft just closed Arkane! Fucking idiots!
why would you use uncharted 3 in the thumbnail if youre not mentioning it
He copied the thumbnail from gameranx video from 2 years ago
@@saku3833lol😂
As soon as the Titanfall 2 level came up I had to subscribe. Easily one of the best missions I played as a kid, and you seem to have a skill at breaking down why these levels are remembered so fondly. Keep up the great work
Really appreciate that thanks for watching!
That makes me feel really old. I just checked the release date for the game and it’s going on 8 years old.
as a... kid? damn i'm old.
"kid" bro that game only came out 8 years ago.
@@barkley8285 Someone who's an adult now could be only 10 when they first played it. I'd say that qualifies as "a kid"
You really need to talk about that Uncharted 3 plane mission!
Facts its literally in the thumbnail
2, 3, and 4 all have huge legendary moments that are very well known, so maybe that's why he didn't include them
THANK YOU for appreciating The Hunt. Nobody talks about that questline, or River Ward as a whole, and it saddens me
Titanfall 2 Effect and Cause was an awesome experience. It was a perfect combination of storytelling, awareness, positioning and control. The game is already 7 years old...
Your thumbnail shows Uncharted but it’s not included in the video? Misleading?
🤓☝️
@@gavinnidoesstuffsometimes9778nah he is right
Game isn’t good 🤷♂️
I clicked on this video expecting uncharted as well
@@coolk714uncharted 3???? Really???
The Hunt was an amazing yet horrifying quest, it pulled at my heart strings, and made me physically sick. I've never had another game do that to me. Amazing game. Another good quest was killing moon quest, the whole phantom liberty DLC was a mindf*ck, and I didn't know who I could trust. One of my favorite DLCs
Noveria is absolutely amazing. You just inspired me to replay Mass Effect.
I'm glad to see that a classic COD mission was mentioned in your list. I recently replayed the peak COD games (in my opinion) starting from COD 4 up to Black Ops 2, in order. I remember my neck freezing up as a kid when I played through All Ghillied Up and I always fucked up the crawling part, it took some growing up a few years later to finally beat that mission haha. There's this one mission that I really appreciated now that I'm older and consider it in my most memorable and legendary missions, Black Cats from World at War. For a 15 minute rail shooter mission, it hits hard and heavy with the short story, voice acting, intensity, and in my eyes the best thing it has, the music. I highly recommend anyone to give that mission a try and experience it firsthand like I did.
That mission was epic.. I remember it even if its so long ago
Those games made so many history nerds later in life
I've just done Possession in The Witcher 3 and I can confirm it was a harrowing experience.
So many great quests in the Witcher for sure, and thank you so much for watching!
I’m so glad that the opening to Prey hadn’t been spoiled for me. Def an under appreciated gem of a game.
The relaxing sound effects and the brain massaging voice really blend together to give a comforting yet intriguing content! We love this channel dude.
Thank you so much!
Very big props for putting the Pillars of Eternity quest in here. It’s a bit out of left field up next to these bigger games but it’s one of the most memorable quests I’ve come across. Great video.
Thank you for watching!
I’d argue that meeting Sovereign is a better candidate. Damn It’s a shame I will never again experience it for the first time…
I understand where you’re coming from.
Keep up the good work!
Also choosing The Hunt over Peralezes is actually a great choice.
Ya I honestly had Virmire as my pick until right before I wrote just because I remembered how Noveria was what originally made me a huge fan of the series and overall I like the entire mission more, but damn is the sovereign speech probably the single best couple minutes in the entire series
@@FranklyGamingFor me it was Feros and Torian.
Thanks man for another great vid!
Dude, almost every mission in Mass Effect should be featured in this video.
@@Rapunzel879I’m trying to put a counter argument here and literally cannot think about anything... Every mission, every side quest adds to the universe.
its nice to see someone mention that borderlands quest, its always been one of my favorites and perfectly encapsulates what makes borderlands so fun to play
Thank you for watching!
its a crime that American Venom from RDR2 isn't in this list
As soon as that skyrim music played i got chills, so many memories and a ridiculous amount of nostalgia. I would get lost for hours on end just traversing the world, doing sidequests and sometimes just sitting and taking it in. My favorite game ever and one that will never be replicated.
This video is so well made and the missions are described so well, i believe you should make this a series... highlighting legendary missions and quests. Would watch in a heartbeat.
Ya I’ll for sure talk about more, I try to make all the stuff a similar style so you might like other videos too just different topic
I haven't made it to track 11 on Hi Fi Rush yet, but I was grinning from ear to ear in the intro where you realize every single thing in the game is in sync.
Finding myself borderline stressed over the wind farm BTs, realizing that the trigger balance was fatiguing my fingers, the moment I first see Port Knot City and the music hits, it was one of the very few games to make me feel like I was really in the shoes of the character I was playing.
I remember Jacksepticeye saying something like the game really makes you feel tired and when you make your delivery and enter the private room you'll feel relieved. It really feels like you've just finished your job for the day. I couldn't agree more with him. The game really puts you in Sam's shoes and I love it. I know that people don't like it and even make memes about the "strand type game", but honestly I want to see more of walking type games, because in some games I actually do enjoy just walking around.
Like I've been thinking about a game where you walk through a post apocalyptic country in one continuous gameplay where you can do parkour and make a tent to sleep and save the game. In your journey, you'll come through many different old world structures and even some random players. Basically a combination of DS, Dying Light, The Last of Us, and Journey. That's my dream game.
@@gdottothegamer1001 I'd really enjoy to see the walking mechanics of this somehow manageably implemented in other games with focuses on other types of combat somehow meshed in. Like, I think of taking games I enjoy and making the travel between places more death stranding like, such as Fallout. Seeing as you already play as a courier
Ooh I'm so glad to see Oblivion, Underrail and Pillars of Eternity, among other great games you mentioned. Great video!
Thank you for the support!
this deserves to have a part 2
Red Dead Redepmtion 2 - All Main Story Missions is Legendary
Thanks for bringing up the Death Stranding level. It’s easily a top 5 moment in gaming history for me. The fact that the mission is so taxing and it rewards you with that view and that song…it just clicks. All the sudden, it feels intentional and it’s just…beautiful
Such an awesome game overall honestly, thanks for watching!
@@FranklyGaming Keep up with the good content, man. I appreciate what you’re doing
Shoutout to Disco Elysiums "2mm hole in the world" & Bioshocks "Would you kindly head to Andrew Ryans office"
amazing video love the effort you put in this is really good, definitely room for a part 2
Amazing video I love that you mentioned the skyrim quest as that one is easily the most memorable for me and creeped me out quite a bit
Thank you for supporting my work!
This video just solidified the fact that you’re one of my favorite creators on this site
Thank you very much!
for me, the most memorable mission was in CoD: Ghosts, where youd disguise as the guards and go into the underground facility. I loved it so much
I know at some point there needs to be a cut off so the video can actually be made, but “Going Hunting” from battlefield 3 is such an awesome and iconic mission
Pillars of Eternity love!!!!! Funny, I recently thought of that very quest just recently out of the blue. You are right: it's something you remember. Though, as far as I am concerned, the whole game is that way.
I'm still getting to the quests you mentioned in Cyberpunk and BG3, looking forward to them (I skipped those parts to avoid spoilers)
Glad I put in the timestamps so you guys could dodge the spoilers, and ya loved all 3, thanks for watching!
Also I know it’s not quite the same but I’d like to throw out two more missions that I believe are absolutely iconic. The first one isn’t a “mission” per se but the ending of the first chapter of Yakuza 0, storming the Dojima Family HQ culminating in the first Kuze boss fight, is what made me absolutely fall in love with the game. Secondly, there’s a ton of missions in Red Dead 2 that I think go above and beyond in terms of being genuinely epic and amazing, but special props to “My Last Boy” and “Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern” for being beautiful, stylish, cinematic missions
Amazing video! Reminded me how much I love video games and how I will always play video games till the day I leave this earth. Thank you. Keep up the great work
Thank you for watching!
there's actually a section in the DLC for Callisto Protocol where you have to hack a terminal to acquire a powerful hammer. and as you begin hacking you can see enemies to pulling open the door which automatically forces the player to hack faster or he's toasted. that moment you really feel like a badass
an honorable mention be tho gotta go to "a shining light even in death" from mgs 5 the phantom pain
I was so pleasantly surprised someone else appreciates Noveria as much as i do. One more thing i'd like to add to your amazing assessment is how the initial spaceport area makes you feel while replaying the game and knowing what is yet to happen. It's maybe the final peaceful, serene area you get to experience. The blizzard outside, the mysterious, but relaxing music... I'd spend hours just standing in the spaceport absorbing it all in. It's really one of the greatest video game levels ever created.
what a nice trip thru memory lane, thank you man
Thanks for watching!
I am super happy to stumble upon your channel!
You have such a great taste!
Great video, and keep up the great work.
based on what ive played, the most memorable missions for me was how reactive it was and how dynamic the narrative is from OG RPG's titles
Good job, I would add the Ashtray Maze from Control, missions from the Ezio trilogy, like Frequent Flyer with Leonardo Da Vinci machine, or Far Cry 3 Make it Bun Dem
See a ton of people mentioning the far cry 3 mission will have to check it out, and thanks for watching !
Dude. You are legendary. You remind me of "daryl talks games" or "john strife plays" im so glad i found ur content
I really appreciate that! Love their channels too
The music and architecture of Port Hanshan on Noveria were brilliant. Such an amazing atmosphere.
There are a lot of intriguing quests in Cyberpunk, but my all time favorite for tone setting is Sinnerman. You get every aspect of the dystopian setting through that questline.
Just on a binge rn your videos are 🔥 that cyberpunk one was rverything i needed
Thanks for supporting my work!
This is amazing! Thank you for for making this
That means a lot thank you for watching!
I think the Shadow Moses level of MGS4 deserves a mention. It's a haunting moment for Snake and the player as we return to where it all started in the first MGS. From the soundtrack welling into these harrowing but beautiful songs, to the hidden flashbacks hitting you like PTSD episodes and the bossfight redux of Sniper Wolf followed by a literal mech battle between Metal Gear Rex and Metal Gear Ray, piloted by Snake and Liquid respectively, it's just such an incredible mission that celebrates everything that makes MGS great. It's painful, it's bittersweet, it's ridiculous, it's funny, it's sad and it's emotional. It's the love letter to the fans in a game that's meant to be serviceable at an insane degree. It's also the penultimate chapter, just before all hell breaks loose and Snake's story comes to a heartbreaking finale.
This is an absolutely amazing video. I thought I was finna see that you have millions of subs but with this quality of content you for sure will. Keep up the great work
Thank you for the kind words and support!
This was a really fun look back on all these experiences.
Personally, some of my favorite missions that I remember to this day are the library mission in the ghostbusters game, the hospital section of Alien: Isolation, the bank heist in RDR2, and any of the missions from Psychonauts 2. Great video.
so glad to see you shoutout the dishonored 2 mission at the clockwork mansion. i always knew arkane made great levels, but i distinctly remember it hitting me in the face when i played this mission. i was just blown away at what they were able to achieve with this. great video!
Starcraft 2 In Utter Darkness is the GOAT mission for me. Oldie but goldie.
Oh damn I almost added this one 😂, I had a bunch but video would have been like 3-4 hours if I included everything lol
I trusted Cerys so much that I didn't hesitate for a moment to yeet that baby into the furnace. Great quest and I suspected something was up when she said to burn the kid. Also, the Oblivion mansion quest was, to this day, one of the best and most creative quests of any RPG I've played.
Such a great video!! I think a couple others that belong in the list are Money Lending and Other Sins from RDR2 and the moving house level toward the end of Control. Money Lending and Other Sins is the single best story side mission I’ve ever played and I swear several movies could be made of just that one alone. The moving house level in Control is just mind blowing, especially with the namesake song blaring through the whole level.
Thanks you for the support on my channel! And that control level is awesome
Far Cry 3 crop burning mission is one of my faves
This was a way better video than I expected, great choices
Thank you for watching!
Dying Light mentioned!!! The side quests in that game were really underrated man, its awesome to see it mentioned.
45:40 also to mention that insanely awesome cutscene when they introduce the villain. That cutscene intro for the boss fight is what made me buy this game
An extremely well-curated selection. It was great reliving these moments through the video. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
i think the best quest ive ever played would be my last boy from rdr2, charging towards the oil field with your boys with that badass music playing is an experience i will never forget
you got a subscriber here, loved this video. Cant wait to see what else you can do!
Really appreciate that! Think you’ll like the upcoming video
Keep it up, brother! Excellent work! I actually just started the quest line in Cyberpunk 2077 with The Perales couple and Detective Ward. This is my second playthrough after the Phantom Liberty and 2.0 and 2.1 updates. I love Cyberpunk 2077. It comes in a close second to The Witcher Wild Hunt as my favorite game of all time. I have a set of games I play annually and those two are on that list. My two sons and I look forward to your upcoming videos. You've got 3 big fans here in Texas!
Thank you all very much for the support!
@@FranklyGaming I've sent your links to my gaming group. Would love to see you and your staff's channel blow up! Your content is of premium quality.
One of the things with BG3 is you will be super beat up from saving Hope but you can use her divine intervention to literally give you hope and give you all your resources back so you can beat him. Showing that when all else is lost you just need Hope to keep going.
Good selection. Plenty more like these, of course. You should make this a series.
Really glad death stranding order 14 was included. And the emphasis on the song after the journey, it sold me too. Still play it in the mix every now and then
I’ve just been searching for a relaxing and interesting video for the evening and suddenly frankly gaming pops😮💨.
I’ve been waiting for a new relaxing video for so long. We really appreciate this kinda stuff mann!😌
Thanks for the support!
the last mission from mass effect 2 was a banger as well, great video!
That it was lol, and thanks for watching!
For me the Fountain head Palace from sekiro is one of the most beautiful and stunning areas/quests i've ever seen in a game. From the introduction to the palace, with the rope monster, to the Corrupted monk (Amazing fight btw), then the palace with all of it's amazing and fun enemies to fight. And lets not forget the lake with the masive carp in it.... And finally one of the best boss fights i've ever had in any game, the Divine Dragon, this boss fight was so stunning, the scenery was so stunning, the execution was amazing and it just felt so rewarding to finally get there.. 100% one of the best places i've ever played through and i'll never forget it.
this was a great video. i thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening. i havent played a lot of these games, but it was still fascinating to discover. great work, friend.
Thank you for the support!
I don't watch every video but I like to check in on your channel every so often, and damn dude, I can't believe youre at 78k subs. That's crazy, congrats bro
Appreciate it man ❤️
I so love the subjects you tackle and the fact that the video is long. Thank you!
Thank you for supporting what I do!
Cyberpunk has so many great missions, I can’t really remember a mission I didn’t enjoy
Subscribed, great coverage of different genera's, eras and mission types. Banger after banger and in depth coverage to go along with it. Honestly skipped a few parts since I want to go try some of these for myself, played every fallout multiple times over besides 76 and never even knew about that tree mission.
Thanks for watching!
You should definitely do a part 2 naming some great missions like Four leaf clover from GTA IV or traveling to Mexico in RDR1 and Money laundering from RDR2
ya I will work them into something for sure there is always so many things to pick from
It's so nice to see Dying Light get a nod. That first game was really something special, with a few side missions sticking with me even now. This was one of them.
27:00 That's a fine choice for a mission in The Witcher 3. Also, the song that you use is imo my favorite song in the entire game. It's so relaxing, beautiful and it invokes deep and hard gut punching nostalgia
i loved that death stranding, but the thing is is that almost every mission really is amazing, definetily the one with mama or the first mads mikkelsen mission. it was really breathaking tthe whole game. top 3 ever.
it's sad that no one else said anything about death stranding, you're reallllly missing out. please, pick it up again.
Honestly one of the first ‘best missions’ I think of is the rdr2 mission after hearing jack been kidnap
I would like to add that warthog run in halo 3 and lone wolf in reach are amazing missions too
I’d like to add one mission/level to this list and it’s the Yarikawa mission from ghost of Tsushima, you fight off tens of Mongolians then have a boss fight where you gain the “ghost” stance by chopping the head off the Mongolian warlord and watching them run away in fear made me feel goosebumps
My eyes just searched for Metro series and Disco Elysium in the timeline :) Wonderful Stories, touching missions. Thanks for this rich and wonderful video
indigo prophecy never makes these lists and is the best opening ever
First time entering sandy shores as Trevor chasing the lost and damn was so amazing
That Underrail appearance was totally unexpected, such a crazy quest
Great video! For Fallout 3, I would have personally chosen The Power of the Atom. Nuking Megaton was and always will be one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had in a video game. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever had the same feeling in a game since. The mix of shock, awe, and sadness when you realize what you’ve done will never be topped for me.
man honestly i expected some rlly basic shit but seeing prey made me smile
Thanks for watching!
I was already spoiled from Prey's first mission, so what blew my mind was the ending
What a well made video! I wanted to mention a gaming moment i myself had,
not so much the mission, but the ramifications of the mission.
I spent way too much time in Riverwood on my first play through of Skyrim.
I returned to Riverwood shortly after defeating my first dragon, and there is another one attacking the village.
I managed to defeat said beast, but not without seeing a few downed guards, and the blacksmith’s wife dead in his arms surrounded by his crying children. Most games have situations play out regardless of your choices and actions, but i wondered if i could “win better”. I reloaded a save file, and prevented casualties.
People wonder about what the next level of gaming will be like. It’s about branching outcomes.
I still love how the devs put that in Riverwood even tho i reloaded as it made me feel for those NPCs.
No one ever talks about The part where he kills you from portal 2
Right from the start the name of the chapter appears as Wheatley says "hello this is the part where I kill you" then the whole mission is you escaping through the facility as Wheatley is tearing up the whole factory just to get you and the music is so good and it syncs up perfectly at one point and it ends the game conclusively which is super rare from a valve franchise
Imo forgotten vale is the best skyrim sidequest. You stumble upon a huge hidden glacial valley, which has story, crazy creature encounter (not gonna spoil it but its epic) and with good loot at the end
great job! :)
One of my favorites is CoD 2's D-Day mission. I also really enjoyed one card left to play from Max Payne 3.
excellent video as always!
Thank you very much!
