One year now I do intermitted fasting (2 meals a day) and follow a low carb diet (just eating a fruit or a middle portion of potato per day) I do walk a lot and I have started bike! I dropped from 75 kg to 65 like zero pain and I keep dropping!!! My skin glowes and my energy levels and concentration are really high!

Dr. Ekburg, You are doing more than any doctors have done all my life. I have lost 18 kg in 2.5 months with intermittent fasting. My waist has gone from 38 to 34. I follow the 20 / 4 IF routine, dropped suger and sodas, walk one hour 5 times a week. I feel lighter, more focused and happier. I love the way Shirts and T shirts look so much better on me. I can even wear slim fit jeans now !

A apple a day keeps the doctor away now a apple will make you fat ?
It seems extreme . A natural fruit with vitamins and natural fruit surger will make me fat ?
This makes me question point of view .
At 58 years of age I had gone from thin up to 40 but running equipment ,sitting all day and eating good Size meals brought me to 245 at 6'3" after early retirement . I joined a gym..at 58 .years old . 6 days a week . Weight training and cardio
.I ate smaller portions . With some bread in the morning
Half portion of rice lunch, dinner .
Meat and veggies. Watermelon .mangos . Pineapple etc
      Beer 3 or 4 nights a week
      .I dropped down to 218 from 245 .
      Now I can't eat fruit ?

Where you have more or less fat on your body is independent from what muscles you are exercising. In fact, if eg. you focus heavily on abs, those will grow and push the belly fat (if you have any) out, making your belly look larger, even though most of it is muscle.

Dr. Ekberg, I feel great when fasting. Usually a 17-20 hour fast. Every day. Been about a week since I started. One major issue is as soon as I eat (protein such as kippers or tuna and a salad or grilled veggies - no starchy carbs) I CRASH... become so exhausted I can't keep my eyes open. And it persists over the next few hours. I take a 20 minute nap, go for a long dog walk/dance, keep drinking water (so much water!) but I'm toast. This has happened every day since I've started. Feel great in fast. Feel like the walking dead after I eat. I'd love for this NOT to happen. Thoughts? Guidance? Thank you so much for all of the excellent information.

Thanks for your presentations. I really like the new screen instead of the white board. I have a question. Does fermented food really have lower carbs than unfermented? Could old fashioned real sour dough bread have lower carbs? I have heard that vitamins and minerals in fermented foods are more easily accessible to the body. Is that true, and if so, by how much? If you have time to research this, I would appreciate it.

I started to gain a lot of weight during my pregnancy and suffered Pregnancy induced Hypertension and struggled to lose all the weight after the birth of my daughter. My BP was constantly high as well even after my pregnancy so was prescribed low dose ANTI-HPT. Then i had PPD as well which does not help my case as I ate a lot because of stress. 😢❤Found Dr. Ekberg’s videos (blessing in disguise) and started my IF (18/6), LCHF diet and low impact exercises last February 05, 2023 and in 2 months I lost 18kg. ❤ as a result of my weight loss my BP normalises 110/60mmHg and Blood glucose level (fasting 8hours) 70mg/dl consistently. Now im out of my medications and I have so much energy everyday and I feel more confident with how zI look and happier with my overall health. Dr. Ekberg basically turned my life around for the better! Thank you so much Doctor! ❤❤❤

In my childhood memories fruits were always seasonal. And fruits were always connected with some kind of physical activities. We had garden - to get fruits we have to help to grow it and collect it. It tooks 45 minutes walk, only to rich our garden. Sometimes our mother send us to collect berries in the forest (it started behind our garden). When we wanted cherries - we have to climb the tree. Sometimes we took fruits outside - with bicycles we were cycling to the lake (4km distance ) swimming across the lake and back (1km) and then shared 1/2 kg of cherries with 5 friends. Totally sunburned we were cycling back (again 4km). Sommer ment fruits, but also lot physical activities, sport, nature, sun, and work too. In summer we didn't watch TV, we didn't have computers, whole times we spent outside running, walking, cycling, swimming or helping our parents. When sommer time was over, fresh fruit time was over, too.

Same here Andrea... You are describing my childhood exactly! I actually caused the cherry tree in our backyard to fall over... I used to climb it and sit in a sort of perch that I wove together with branches and after a few years and some growth? It was a perfect spot to sit and gorge myself on the cherry goodness. Of course, then I got a sugar high and would collect up cherries to take to my grandma and would ride my bike there. Or I would visit the lady across the street from my grandma's house and trade her for Rhubarb 😁 She made THE BEST Rubarb pie in the world... If I brought her enough cherries? She would use them to sweeten a rhubarb pie (or two or three)... I actually miss the "Bartering" aspect of my childhood. Ma and my grandma and aunts would make pickles and Sauerkraut and tomatoes/sauce, and pears and cherries from the trees, and my cousin and I would trade this for that with a neighbor or two...

@@drekberg For others who wonder if what you say works. I am 61 and I knew I needed to be patient with results based on what you have said about insulin resistance. I started eating less than 50 net carbs starting 6/1/20, then I took it down to about 20 net carbs 7/1/20 and as of today, 9/19/20 I have lost 16 pounds and 11 pounds of body fat, my A1c was 5.8 on July 22, 20 and today 9/19/20 it is 5.2. Also my glucose readings are very stable in the 80's and 90's and only go to about 103 after eating a meal. Also I intermittent fast at least 14 hours everyday, sometimes 20 hours. Keto is very simple to do and it works. My skin looks great. sleep great. no bloating.

I eat LCHF food since 9 years, and I am perfectly fine, but I still have "love handles" that I want to get rid of. I eat about a cup of frozen (thawed!) blueberries and raspberries mixed together, with no added sweeteners, almost every day all year round. I am quite addicted to them... (I don't have fatty liver or insuline insensitivity, I never have any breakfast= one or two meals a day, and I walk my dog 4 times a day.). Are the berries to blame for the floppy love handles around my waist, or is it simply my old age (78)?

I’m 57 and I finally managed to significantly reduce a huge gut after months of inactivity and drinking two bottles of red wine a week. It took some very strenuous exercise, lots of walking, and total elimination of wine and alcohol, among other things. Currently I eat more salmon and halibut and less red meat and chicken, and more veggies but quite a bit of rice. I still don’t quite have a grasp on the fasting thing. Seems like I’ve watched so many videos with different perspectives, I can’t seem to get started.
