    • @Galv140577
      @Galv140577 5 років тому +15

@@raisamahi1006 The air you breath out is heaver than the air you breath in because that is how your body gets rid of the carbon and hydrogen from your food. Carbo-hydrates (sugars) and hydro-carbons (fats) break down and get released from your lungs as carbon dioxide (CO2), and H2O (water) or water vapour. You don't have to do anything to lose weight except breath the oxygen in so that when you breath it out again it carries the weight with it. Just stop eating for long enough so that you get past feeling hungry, then you go into ketosis, which is the state where you've run out of glucose and your body starts breaking down fat cells instead. Ketone energy is highly efficient, it enables you to do incredible things mentally and physically. To get it you have to get past being hungry until you stop feeling hungry even though you haven't eaten anything. Don't do it for too long though because you also need protein, vitamins, minerals and essential fats from food, not just the energy.

Good presentation. As an internist, I had my eyes opened to this in the early 1990's after reading "The Carbohydrate Addict's Diet". I angered every nutritionist at the local hospitals but they could not explain to me why my patients' A1C levels came down, when it never did before under their guidance. That was for me the beginning of the change in understanding.

My way to lose stomach bloating and love handles.
Skipped breakfast, I ate a healthy lunch, salad chicken breast or salmon one medium potato. Drink milk coffee through out the day and lemon water. Walking, cycling everyday. Evening snack of walnuts, eggs.
After four weeks I started to notice love handles going down stomach bloating going away. I am strict with this way. Once or twice week I eat a little more, but healthy. I have cut out all wheat, sugar. It takes time to show results, but worth the trouble. I have more energy, feel healthy and don't look like I am pregnant.
Just eat healthy and exercise every day. Good luck. I am 58 yrs old...

      Hi, there,
Milk coffee is a cup of half coffee and milk,
I only drink two cups of coffee in the morning. I have stopped using milk as it also causes bloating. I use oat milk instead. If I need coffee during the day, I drink de-cafe.
All dairy causes bloating, best to avoid it.
Have a nice day where ever you may be 🤗

"Milk coffee" is what I used to drink, I called it "a little coffee in my milk". 😄. I've managed to get it down to 1 part milk, creamer, whatever, to 2 parts coffee, with zero sugar and heavy cream. Only one cup a day.

Something out there is trying to transform the human race into a sick/fatter/low energy and less intelligent? Because we need fats to function a well-balanced life. Dr. Ekberg's explanation is on point, but how this will help millions of people already addicted to low fat/carbs/sugary drinks and they're feeding this to the babies/toddlers. I struggled with belly fat most of my adult life even though I am a dancer and very active. I injured my knee and needed a way to maintain my body weight while I wasn't exercising so I decided to try keto and drop 30 lb in 3 months. Even well I am not on keto, I don't eat sugar and I still maintain my body weight. I weigh my high school weight now at 52 years old, and it's staying steady even when I can't make it to the gym. My whole life I tried to eat low-fat, but always had a tummy. Restricting carbs and adding fat back into my diet have made all the difference in the world, including better skin and hair, less depression and foggy brain

After I turned 70, I gained fat in my belly but did not gain weight in pounds. My sister is exactly the same way. Perhaps you could address this issue in one of your videos. I've read that it's quite a common thing that happens as we get older. I believe that I've been doing my weight training and ab exercises incorrectly. Thanks again. You're super! OUTSTANDING! Even though the title of this video pertained to belly fat, I would say this is one of the most thorough videos encompassing all the most important principles of good health and a healthy diet!
Having been a registered dietitian since 1982 I am speaking from the great deal of education and experience. I think Dr Ekberg is incredibly good at explaining principles that can get complicated. But you don't have to be a doctor or a dietitian or a scientist to understand his points. I love that he speaks in a very down-to-earth way and that he shares research as a way to support his statements.
I totally agree that fat phobia, due to a lot of misinformation that came out starting in the 80s, has really caused people to be incredibly afraid of eating fats.
As Dr Ekberg emphasized, the quality of what we eat is just as important as what we eat. Especially when it comes to fat it's extremely important to understand that not all fat is the same in terms of how it affects our bodies.
Food sources that come from nature are good for us. Food that comes from a laboratory are not good for us. That's the bottom line. Understanding how our body uses protein, carbohydrates, and fat can make eating healthy much easier.
Dr Ekberg definitely knows his stuff! Thank you so much Dr Ekberg for all of your important videos!

I’m so glad I found you site. I’m having a lot of problems with my weight for the last least 6 months. The COVID lockdowns & such has not helped me. The doctors say their are a lot of hormonal issue. Yes it’s true that humans have not been informed properly about our food intake. ✨

Greetings, Dr. Ekberg. First of all I'd like to thank you for your marvellous work through your videos. Thanks to you I was able to drop 59 pounds in a matter of 70 days, and still going strong. I've known about low carb culture for a while but you're the first person I know of to break it down in such detail, and to tackle the matter of insulin resistance. Now I'm confident to say that I really know how that system works. Thank you again, very much.

Amazing that immediately after watching your video there was a barage of other videos all claiming that saturated fats are bad. Somehow I trust what you have said because I have struggled with my weight for many years I will follow your advice.

Marketing of our food has been a disaster. We've been scammed by a bunch of marketers and scientists that used assumptions that all fat is the same.

Bear in mind that the FDA work together to make many foods high salt, high sugar & high addiction based. Once people are addicted to such unhealthy foods & diets, they develop diseases which they then seek pharmaceuticals to treat. By following the "food pyramid" that the FDA deceptively puts out, people end up funding Big Pharma - as they start, & then have to stay on Big Pharma's "medicines," for years ... IF they don't learn the truth But, those "medicines" are only partial bandaids (if that), & the meds themselves cause many problems & illnesses in people, ultimately leading to death. Notice the name: FOOD & DRUG ADMINISTRATION. They work together, & It is NOT for the health of the people.

Guess who funded that science and research? The food industry. Of course they're going to manipulate the results to what benefits them. Creating a "need" where there isn't one, and marketing us crap we don't need.

As a 100-lb, 61" H, 80-year old woman, I'd like to have guidelines on the number of calories required for proper weight and what my weight should be.
I eat two large meals of healthful foods a day, with an occasional binge of sweets that I always regret eating. I watched your video that mentioned the amount of exercise that I should have.
Thanks, Dr Ekberg for your informative and concise videos.
