It has come to my attention that I forgot to mention the Back Scratcher. I put it in C. I don't have a ton of experience with the weapon, mostly because the Powerjack is just so good. But it has decent utility and can be good in select situations.
notes where I disagree (if you want to discuss) - Reseve shooter is a decent shotgun - The mini-crits are just a side gimmick - look at it as a shotgun, where you sacrifice two shots for faster switch speed without losing accuracy at mid-longer range like Panic attack. The one useful use of minicrits feature is against bombing soldiers. - Manmelter - 30 damage + 60 afterburn is more than enough for most situations - crit function is mostly an extra gimick to a flare that has longer range and faster projectile (easier to hit, as long you get used to it) By the way, did you know, that direct hit rocket is almost the same fast as a flare?
Yea I never bother with the air gimmick on reserve shooter, its just nicer than base shotgun in most situations since you're not maining shotgun on pyro anyways
look man, actually use the weapon for a while before you badmouth it. The reserve shooter is really good on pyro, and it would still be good even if the minicrits were removed completely. pyro primarily uses the shotgun as a finishing tool, he needs to be able to draw it quickly then get 2-3 shots off at a target that is outside flamethrower range. the reserve shooter checks all the boxes, it has the draw speed, enough shots, and it outperforms the panic attack at medium range. the panic attack is better at point blank, but thats also where your flamethrower excels, why double up on short ranged damage options when you could improve your medium range? The stock shotgun is able to perform similarly well when used with the degreaser, but then you sacrifice stock flamethrower's damage and airblast. if you think the -2 clip size is a weapon-killing downside, i urge you to rewatch the video and pay attention to your ammo while using the panic attack and stock shotgun, notice how many shots you actually fire before reloading. the minicrits are just the icing on the cake, a double-donk-esque dopamine stat for when you land a clean deflect-into-airshot on a cocky soldier.
reserve shooter makes me feel more consistent too as i'm a lot more focused on aiming my shot wisely so i dont put myself into a bad situation (it also sounds cooler)
Meh... still feels like the bastard child of the shotgun and panic attack. If range is your concern, picking up the base shotgun tends to be better as the extra two shells might clutch your way to secure a kill. Or well... you could be picking up a goddamn flaregun. If extra reliability is what you crave, then the panic attack is in your hands and ready to fire even quicker than the Reserve Shooter is. It's not BAD bad, but it certainly doesn't do anything special. It's no wonder it's in the same set as the Liberty Launcher : both weapons suffers simply because other, more specialized options exists. Why choose to be a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none?
@@aleflippy1997 thats valid, but i wouldnt call it anywhere near as bad as the liberty launcher. it's more akin to the black box: viable, but I understand why its not used in comp.
The degreaser switch back speed is the real upside to the weapon people just focus on the switch to speed to much It does the exact same damage as stock minus the afterburn. Basically a literal upgrade
What mod do you use for the muzzle flash? It looks really nice Also i wanted to say wonderful video i cant believe you have such good content but only have 500 subscribers dont give up❤
imo, the reserve shooter is actually pretty good the downside isn't as bad as some people think, and once you get used to the switch speed you can't go back to stock. you just need to pick your fights and do more 1v1s instead of big fighs. Also, either way, that's how you die less while playing pyro so it's all good.
Good vid, agree with most except for where you placed the Back Scratcher. I would put that in B tier as the health boost pick up comes in real clutch when you dont have a medic or youre really pushing past the front line. The bonus damage is a plus as well.
Honestly I would put degreaser higher specifically because of you are gentlemen business and use your shotgun most of the time and use the flamethrower for just airblast then the switch speed comes on extra handy.
When i use dragon's fury airblast i like two switch to panic attack fire two shots and switch back to recharged dragon's fury. Maybe this will be handy
None of the other flamethrowers really click with me like df does and while sure that airblast cooldown isn't very good for reflects but I have found it's pretty good for dealing with trolldiers
Reserve shooter is when you want to use a shotgun with good switch speed but also want to not get horribly fondled by scouts who are always gonna engage you in the mid range. Seriously try fighting a semi competent scout with the Panic Attack its awful

I mainly use it on Hightower since medics are kinda rare over there and plenty of med kits to go around
You forgot the back scratcher 0/10 disliked

nice job bro
Blud played pyro for all of 90 minutes
What hud are you using
My own custom version of Toonhud
Please do one of these for all the classes.
which one should I do next?

What hud do you use, it looks really good
Hey! Thanks for asking 😊 I use the default minimized hud. It’s really simple and it doesn’t bloat your game in an unnecessary way.
Ooo okay, thanks
I use Toonhud, which is super customizable and clean.
I like your textures
The Dragon's Fury is very sexy and cool
